POLYSACCHARIDE COMPOSITIONS AND THERAPEUTIC GELS
Provided are pharmaceutical compositions comprising a sulphated polysaccharide and a shear-thinning fluid gel. The sulphated polysaccharide may, by way of example, be selected from the group consisting of: a dextran sulphate having an average molecular weight of 10,000 Da or less; heparan sulphate; fucoidan; poligeenan; furcellaran; and a carrageenan. The shear-thinning fluid gel may comprise a microgel particle forming polymer, suitably selected from one or more of the following groups: gellans; alginates; carrageenans; agarose; chitosan; pectin; agarose; agar or gelatin. The compositions disclosed may be used for the prevention and/or treatment of glaucoma. These compositions may be used for the inhibition or reduction of fibrosis. The invention also relates to the medical uses of sulphated polysaccharides, and the medical uses of shear-thinning fluid gels.
ENDOCYCLIC PYRIMIDINONE COMPOUNDS, AND PREPARATION METHODS, COMPOSITIONS AND USE THEREOF
Disclosed is an endocyclic pyrimidinone compound of Formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is an entirely new Lp-PLA2 inhibitor useful in treating neurodegeneration-related diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration (AMD), or cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis.
TOPICAL OPHTHALMOLOGICAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR TREATING ABNORMAL ANGIOGENESIS
A topical ophthalmological composition includes a multikinase inhibitor as an active pharmaceutical ingredient, and perfluorohexyloctane (F6H8) as a liquid vehicle. The multikinase inhibitor inhibits vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs). A method for treating an ophthalmological disorder includes: providing a topical ophthalmological composition containing a multikinase inhibitor at a concentration of about 0.01-10% (w/v); and treating a patient with the topical ophthalmological composition for treating the ophthalmological disorder.

Ophthalmic emulsion
The present invention is directed to an ophthalmic emulsion. The emulsion has a unique combination of ingredients that promotes the stability of small oil droplets within the emulsion. The emulsion also includes a mucoadhesive polymer that aid in delivering a lipid to the ocular surface.
Bicyclic heterocyclyl derivatives as IRAK4 inhibitors
The present invention provides bicyclic heterocyclyl kinase enzyme inhibitor compounds of formula (I), which are therapeutically useful as kinase inhibitors, particularly IRAK4 inhibitors. ##STR00001##
wherein A, Y, Z, X.sub.1, X.sub.2, X.sub.3, R.sub.1, R.sub.3, ‘m’, ‘n’ and ‘p’ have the meanings given in the specification and pharmaceutically acceptable salt or stereoisomer thereof that are useful in the treatment and prevention of diseases or disorder, in particular their use in diseases or disorder mediated by kinase enzyme, particularly IRAK4 enzyme. The present invention also provides pharmaceutical composition comprising at least one of the compounds of compound of formula (I) together with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent or excipient therefor.
Therapy for glaucoma and optic neuropathy by targeting colony stimulating factors
The invention provides compositions and methods for treating optic neuropathic disorders.
Isoquinoline-steroid conjugates and uses thereof
Provided herein are compounds and pharmaceutical compositions useful in modulating kinase activity, and related diseases. Also provided herein are methods of treating an eye disease or disorder in a subject. Also provided herein are methods of reducing intraocular pressure in a subject. Also provided herein are methods of modulating kinase activity in a cell. Also provided herein are methods of making the compounds provided herein, and compounds useful for the preparation of the compounds provided herein.
High penetration compositions and their applications
High penetration compositions (HPC) of a parent compound, which are capable of crossing biological barriers with high penetration efficiency. The HPCs are capable of being converted to parent drugs or parent drug-related compounds such as metabolites after crossing one or more biological barriers and thus can render treatments for the conditions that the parent drugs or parent drug-related compounds can. Additionally, the HPCs are capable of reaching areas that their parent drugs or parent drug-related compounds may not be able to access or to render a sufficient concentration at the target areas HPCs of NSAIA, for example, have demonstrated indications such as treating hair loss. A HPC can be administered to a subject through various administration routes, e.g., locally delivered to an action site of a condition with a high concentration or systematically administered to a biological subject and enter the general circulation with a faster rate.
Therapeutic applications of artificial cerebrospinal fluid and tools provided therefor
Described herein is the use of CSF, more particularly external CSF or CSF-like compositions for the treatment and prevention of different diseases. More particularly, the application provides for the administration of CSF to the intrathecal space or the cerebral ventricles of a patient to increase intracranial pressure and/or CSF flow.
