Provided is a motor including: a rotor, a stator, a first and second bearing, a support member, a housing including a first flat part and a cylindrical part, and a bearing holder. The cylindrical part includes: a first inner circumferential surface inside which is provided the stator; a second inner circumferential surface, a distance from the second inner circumferential surface to a central axis being greater than a distance from the first inner circumferential surface to the central axis, and the second inner circumferential surface contacting an outer circumferential surface of the bearing holder; and a stepped surface, connecting the first and the second inner circumferential surfaces, and contacting a lower surface of the bearing holder. The housing further includes a riveting part located on the second inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part and fixing the bearing holder to the second inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical part.

Ball bearing

A holder has a protrusion which protrudes from a side surface at a side opposite in an axial direction with respect to a rolling element held in a pocket toward the side opposite in the axial direction. An oil supply hole which penetrates through the holder from the side surface to a surface at a side of the rolling element in the axial direction is formed in the holder. When the holder rotates, the protrusion guides oil into the oil supply hole, and the oil is introduced from the side surface of the holder to the surface on the side of the rolling element.

Electrical machine

An electrical machine, e.g., a power generator such as an alternator for a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The electrical machine includes a rotor and a stator, and the rotor is non-rotatably secured to a shaft having a shaft end that protrudes out of the rotor. A belt pulley is arranged at the shaft end for coupling to a drive. A bearing is non-rotatably secured to the shaft between the belt pulley and the rotor. A spacer ring is non-rotatably secured to the shaft between the belt pulley and the bearing. A gap which encircles the shaft is disposed between the belt pulley and the spacer ring, and between the spacer ring and the bearing, respectively. A plurality of blades directed radially outwards are arranged in at least one of the respective gaps. The blades convey incoming contaminated air to the outside and protect the respective gap against dirt.

Fault frequency matching of periodic peaks in spectral machine data

A computer-implemented method analyzes periodic information in digital vibration data associated with a machine. The method involves generating a spectral periodic information plot (PIP) based on the digital vibration data, and locating amplitude peaks in the PIP at frequencies associated with fundamental frequencies of interest. Peaks occurring at fundamental fault frequencies and at related harmonic frequencies are removed from the PIP, while retaining energy values associated with the removed peaks. Remaining peaks in the PIP are classified as synchronous periodic peaks and non-synchronous periodic peaks. The remaining peaks in the PIP are graphically plotted along with the fault frequencies and related harmonic frequencies in different colors or different line styles on a display device to identify different groups of frequencies of interest. The method implements an algorithm that locates peaks in the PIP at frequencies associated with the fundamental frequencies of interest even though frequencies of the located peaks do not precisely match the fundamental frequencies of interest.

ENERGY HARVESTING SENSORS AND METHODS

A sensor system for monitoring a device, the sensor system including a housing, a base configured to attach the sensor system to the device to be monitored, a sensor configured to obtain data related to at least one operating parameter of the device, and an integral energy harvesting device configured to provide at least a portion of the energy required to operate the sensor system.

Work vehicle having electric machine and energy storage device

A work vehicle and energy storage device include a ballast providing ballast weight to the horizontal end of the work vehicle, a stator of an electric machine having a vertically extending axis, a rotor of the electric machine fixed for rotation with the ballast and configured for rotation about the vertically extending axis, and a bearing supporting the ballast weight and the rotor for rotation of the rotor relative to the stator.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLEXURE-BASED BEARING MOUNTING

A bearing assembly for a linear electromagnetic machine includes a sleeve having a surface configured to provide a bearing between the surface and a translator, a front plate coupled to the sleeve, a support block, and a plurality of flexures coupled to the support block. Each flexure is coupled between the support block and one of the front plate or a stator. For example, a load path extends from a stator to the support block via a first set of flexures of the plurality of flexures, from the support block to the front plate via a second set of flexures of the plurality of flexures, and from the front plate to the sleeve. In the example of four flexures, two flexures are affixed to the support block and front plate, while two other flexures are affixed to the support block and the stator.

SUPPORT ROLLER BEARING REGREASING ARRANGEMENT FOR HIGH LOAD CRANK ASSEMBLY

A crank assembly for displacing a load includes a motor and a displacement arm assembly. The motor includes a rotatable output shaft that defines a rotation axis. The displacement arm assembly includes a swingable crank arm and a support roller bearing. The swingable crank arm is coupled to the output shaft to swing about the rotation axis when the output shaft rotates. The swingable crank arm defines a pivot end adjacent the rotation axis and an opposite displacement end. The support roller bearing is rotatably supported on the swingable crank arm proximate the displacement end. The support roller bearing is configured to engage the load. The support roller bearing defines a bearing axis, which is substantially parallel to and offset from the rotation axis.
