HYBRID MODULE INCLUDING MOTOR ROTOR CONNECTOR FOR CONNECTING TO A TORQUE CONVERTER
A hybrid module is configured for arrangement in a torque path upstream from a transmission and downstream from an internal combustion engine. The hybrid module includes a hybrid drive unit including an electric motor including a rotor. The hybrid module also includes a torque converter and a connector non-rotatably fixing the rotor to the torque converter. The connector includes a first section non-rotatably fixed to the rotor, a second section non-rotatably fixed to the torque converter and a retainer axially fixing the first section and the second section together in an intermeshing arrangement so the first section and the second section are non-rotatably fixed together.
ELECTRIC MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURE OF AN ELECTRIC MACHINE
An electric machine and method for operating an electric machine are provided. The electric machine includes a first rotational component and a second rotational component rotationally engaging the first rotational component via a splined interface. The electric machine further includes a first lash reducing spring radially positioned between a first set two adjacent splines in the splined interface.
Torque Transmission Apparatus and a Collar
A torque transmission apparatus having a shift collar and a drive component. The shift collar may have a collar gear that may have a collar tooth that may have a concave collar tooth side surface that may be centered about a transverse collar tooth plane. The drive component may have a tooth that may have a convex lateral side surface centered about a transverse tooth plane. The concave collar tooth side surface may cooperate with the convex lateral side surface to align the transverse collar tooth plane with the transverse tooth plane.
Automotive driveline disconnect assembly
An automotive driveline disconnect assembly includes a first clutch part and a second clutch part, and is designed and constructed to preclude an occupant-audible noise from being made between components of the disconnect assembly. The preclusion of the occupant-audible noise can be effected via one or more dampers, a non-flat tooth profile, or a combination of these measures. The disconnect assembly can be equipped in a larger automotive driveline component such as a power transfer unit (PTU), a final drive unit (FDU), a rear drive module (RDM), or an electronic differential locker (EDL).
Clutch device and motor unit using said clutch device
A clutch device includes an input disc, an output disc, and a biasing member configured to press the input disc against the output disc. A rotation load applied to an output shaft separates the input disc from the output disc against biasing force of the biasing member. The input disc and the output disc include opposing surfaces, each of which includes axially disengageable overlapping tooth portions. Recessed and raised portions of each tooth portion are formed continuously in a radial direction and are alternately arranged in a circumferential direction. Each of the curved shapes of the recessed and raised portions is maintained at a respective identical height while a circumferential width thereof continuously expands in a radially outward direction. Also disclosed is a motor unit including the clutch device. The disclosed clutch device reduces, e.g., deformation or damage of a disengageable portion, and therefore, can improve durability.
CLUTCH CLAW AND CLUTCH STRUCTURE USING SAME
A clutch claw applied to a clutch structure having a rotating shaft includes a claw portion, a base portion and at least two elastic portions. The base portion is opposite to the claw portion and has a peripheral edge. The claw portion and the base portion are coaxially disposed on the rotating shaft. Each elastic portion is at least partly disposed around part of the claw portion to provide elastic force. Each elastic portion has a first end and a second end. The first end is connected with the base portion and extended from the peripheral edge, the second end is connected with the claw portion, and there is at least one bent section between the first end and the second end. Therefore, the collision damage is prevented, and the impact and friction generated when the clutch claw is instantaneously rotated is avoided, thereby achieving the advantage of reducing noise.
Clutched component
A clutched component having a locking mechanism that employs a plurality of radially movable locking elements to selectively rotationally couple first and second coupling parts to one another. A sleeve is employed to control radial movement of the locking elements.
Clutch apparatus
An object is to provide a compact and lightweight clutch apparatus by using a mechanical clutch. A clutch apparatus includes a one-way clutch and a mechanical clutch arranged in parallel in an axial direction, in which the mechanical clutch is movably retained in the axial direction, and when the mechanical clutch moves in the axial direction due to pushing means, the mechanical clutch engages with an end surface of an inner wheel of the one-way clutch.
Four-wheel drive vehicle and method for controlling the four-wheel drive vehicle
A four-wheel drive vehicle includes a dog clutch that selectively interrupts transmission of a drive force to a propeller shaft, first and second multi-plate clutches that selectively interrupt transmission of the drive force from the propeller shaft to left and right rear wheels, first and second pistons that press the first and second multi-plate clutches, and a hydraulic circuit that supplies hydraulic oil to first and second cylinder chambers. During a transition to a four-wheel drive mode, torque transmitted through the first multi-plate clutch increases the speed of rotation of the propeller shaft so as to engage the dog clutch, and the second multi-plate clutch is kept from transmitting torque to the propeller shaft.
Input shaft for use in integrated drive generator
An input drive shaft for use in an integrated drive generator has a body extending from an end to a clutch face. The clutch face includes a plurality of clutch teeth extending away from a nominal surface of the body. The clutch face defines an inner bore of a first diameter. The clutch face has an outer peripheral surface defining a second diameter and a ratio of the first diameter to the second diameter is between 1.50 and 1.65. An integrated drive generator and a method are also disclosed.
