Friction lining holding spring for improved brake piston fixing
A friction lining holding spring and the equipped component/assembly, specifically a motor vehicle disc brake lining, including the friction lining holding spring. The friction lining holding spring includes an offset knee piece of a U-spring leg, which branches off at an angle from a largely flat U base section, and wherein the largely flat base section has a fastening tab with a cup-shaped rim hole including a through-opening for the purpose of fixing on a backplate of the friction lining, wherein each knee piece has integrated gearing, which is in particular designed as an uneven brake piston insertion trajectory such that, when a brake piston is inserted, there is a predefined gearing reduction effect for the purpose of automatically influencing or modelling the necessary force requirement.
Brake pad backing plate
A backing plate and associated brake pad that includes a reinforcement plate and a retention plate. The reinforcement plate has an outboard surface, an inboard surface, and a mold hole. The retention plate has an outboard surface, an inboard surface, and a locking projection that cooperates with the mold hole of the reinforcement plate to mechanically lock the retention plate to the reinforcement plate so that the inboard surface of the reinforcement plate faces the outboard surface of the retention plate. A dampening layer may be included between the reinforcement plate and the retention plate.
SHIM FOR DISK BRAKES, AND DISK BRAKE
A novel disc brake shim and a disc brake that can effectively suppress vibration and squeal are provided. The disc brake shim that is formed of a multilayer structure with three layers or more including at least a base material layer formed of a metal sheet, and a foamed rubber layer that is laminated on a main surface on one side of the base material layer, wherein the foamed rubber layer is an intermediate layer of the multilayer structure, and the disc brake including pad materials on both sides in an axial direction of a disc rotor, and shims on opposite sides from the disc rotor, of the pad materials adjacently, wherein each of the shims is the disc brake shim according to the present invention.
ACTUATOR FOR BRAKE DEVICE
Disclosed is an actuator for a brake device. In accordance with an aspect of the disclosure an actuator for a brake device includes a motor; a first reduction gear unit connected to the motor; and a second reduction gear unit connected to the first reduction gear unit; wherein the first reduction gear unit is provided as a planetary gear assembly, and the second reduction gear unit is provided as a bevel gear assembly.
RETENTION SYSTEM FOR SHIM ON BACKPLATE OF BRAKE PAD ASSEMBLY
A brake pad for a vehicle disk brake assembly includes a backing plate configured to support a brake lining. A plurality of openings extend through the backing plate to define retaining members. A shim includes a base and tabs extending into the openings to secure the shim to the backing plate. Each tab includes a first portion extending away from the base and a curved second portion extending from the first portion back towards the base.
BRAKING BAND OF A DISC FOR DISC BRAKE OF VENTILATED TYPE
A braking band of a disc brake disc of a ventilated type unusually capable of avoiding vibrations which induce annoying squeals during the braking action. The braking band having two plates joined by connecting elements. At least one of the connecting elements is a fin that has an extension along an outer circumferential width, and an extension along an inner circumferential width. A section taken along a section plane having a radial and circumferential direction, section made by passing through a mean air flow point which runs through a gap, where the outer circumferential width is greater than the inner circumferential width.
METHOD FOR REDUCING VIBRATIONS IN A FRICTION BRAKE, AND BRAKING SYSTEM AND PROGRAM CODE
The disclosure relates to a method for reducing unwanted vibrations in a friction brake. The friction brake has at least one friction surface and at least one brake lining associated with the friction surface. The method comprises the following steps: a) pressing the brake lining against the friction surface with a clamping force in order to convert a braking request into a braking force; and b) modulating a temporal fluctuation onto the clamping force in order to avoid or reduce the unwanted vibrations. A corresponding braking system together with the associated program code is also disclosed.
VEHICLE DISC BRAKE ARRANGEMENT, BRAKE PAD, AND VEHICLE
