Damped brake components and methods of manufacturing the same
A brake component for a motor vehicle may include a body and at least one cable positioned within the body. The at least one cable may include a plurality of wires positioned relative to one another, each of the plurality of wires having a surface in sliding contact with surfaces of adjacent wires of the plurality of wires. During braking of the motor vehicle, sliding movement of the surfaces of the plurality of wires relative to each other may dampen a resonant frequency of the component.
Machinery brake
A brake includes a frame part; an armature part supported by the frame part in a manner that allows movement; an electromagnet for opening the brake; and also a damping arrangement for damping the noise of the brake. The damping arrangement is made to be conductive to magnetic flux, and the damping arrangement is fitted on the pathway of the magnetic flux of the electromagnet of the brake.
Anti-rattle clip for disc brake assembly and disc brake assembly including such an anti-rattle clip
A motor vehicle disc brake assembly comprises a caliper having a cavity, a brake disc rotatable relative to the caliper, a brake lining mounted to the caliper, a piston mounted in the cavity for displacing the brake lining against the brake disc, and an electromechanical actuator for supporting the piston. The electromechanical actuator has a drive assembly operably connected to a spindle, a rotationally restrained spindle nut threaded on the spindle, and an anti-rattle clip coupling together the piston and spindle nut. Rotation of the spindle by the drive assembly moves the spindle nut to support the piston.
Actuator for an electric parking brake system
An actuator for an electric parking brake system includes an outer housing, a motor, a planetary gear mechanism and a belt-wheel mechanism that are received in the outer housing, and an isolation member. The belt-wheel mechanism includes a driving wheel, a follower wheel, and a transmission belt. The driving wheel is connected with the motor. The follower wheel is connected with the planetary gear mechanism. The isolation member has a first spacer fixed to the driving wheel via the motor, a second spacer fixed to the follower wheel, and a buffering element disposed between the second spacer and the outer housing. The second spacer is disposed above and assembled to the first spacer. The isolation member defines the center-to-center distance between the driving wheel and the follower wheel, and absorbs vibrations from the motor and the planetary gear mechanism.
Brake assembly for an electric motor
A brake assembly for an electric motor includes: a magnetic body, a winding, a bolt, a housing part with a brake surface, an armature disk, a brake pad plate, a shaft, a spring part, and a first bushing. The housing part is connected to the magnetic body by the bolt, with a positive fit in at least the circumferential direction. The first bushing is accommodated in a second bushing. The spring part supported on the housing part presses the first bushing and/or the second bushing toward the magnetic body. The radial clearance range covered by the armature disk includes the radial clearance range covered by the second bushing, and the axial region covered by the armature disk includes the axial region covered by the second bushing.
Anti-Noise Shim
An anti-noise shim (100) comprising at least a perforated metal layer (110) and at least a high temperature resistant layer (120) faced/coupled together by mechanical bonding wherein the perforated metal layer comprises through holes (111) and mechanical bonding means (112), and the high temperature resistant layer comprises fibers, a filler and a binder.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACTUATOR, IN PARTICULAR BRAKE ACTUATOR
The invention relates to a motor vehicle actuator, in particular a brake actuator, comprising a housing (3) which consists of a housing container (1) and a housing cover (2) designed as a base support, and in which an electric motor (4) and a transmission (6) coupled to the electric motor via a torque transmitting device (5) are arranged. A retaining frame which can be arranged on the housing cover (2) is provided in order to arrange the electric motor (4) within the housing (3). The invention is characterized in that the holding frame (7) is designed as a damping and/or spring device.
Hybrid torque bar
A hybrid torque bar for a brake assembly may comprise a base portion, a pin extending from a first end of the base portion, and a rail extending between the first end of the base portion and a second end of the base portion opposite the first end. The base portion may be formed using a first manufacturing process. At least one of the pin or the rail may be formed using a second manufacturing process. The second manufacturing process may comprise an additive manufacturing technique.
Biased Plunger Arrangement for a Brake Pad Retention System
A system is provided for suppressing undesired brake pad motion during brake application, and for installing and removing brake pads utilizing the inventive arrangements. The brake pads and a carrier mount having complementary surface features that retain the brake pad when the brake pad is in its installed position, and a brake pad biasing structure that biases the brake pad in the radially outward direction to bias the contact faces of the mount horn and the brake pad against one another to suppress brake pad kick and vibration and related wear and component fatigue. The radially-outward biasing force may be applied by a spring-loaded plunger located within a bore of a mount horn of the brake pad carrier against a radially-inner surface of a portion of the brake pad extending laterally over the mount horn.
TEMPERATURE SENSING DEVICE FOR AIRCRAFT WHEEL BRAKE
A temperature sensing device for sensing aircraft wheel brake temperature, the temperature sensing device including a surface acoustic wave, SAW, sensor element with a resonant frequency within a frequency range between 175 megahertz and 190 megahertz at a predetermined temperature. The temperature sensing system also includes a wireless relay device, a method for sensing temperature of a wheel brake of an aircraft.
