TONE RING AND ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE
A tone ring attachment for a disc brake rotor. The disc brake rotor has a disc portion that includes a plurality of circumferentially-spaced lugs. Each one of the lugs has a groove. A discrete tone ring body has a plurality of bosses. Each one of the bosses is receivable in a respective one of the grooves in the lugs. A dart projection extends from at least one of the bosses. The dart projection engages a respective one of the lugs to inhibit relative axial movement and relative rotational movement in at least one direction between the tone ring and the disc brake rotor. A tab is formed on at least one of the bosses. The tab is engageable with a portion of the lug to inhibit relative rotational movement in a second direction opposite the first direction between the tone ring and disc brake rotor.
BRAKE DUST COVER
A brake dust cover includes an annular plate in which a cutout for avoidance of a brake caliper is provided in a first predetermined angle region, and a cover portion that overhangs to one side in an axial direction of the annular plate and covers an outer peripheral surface of a brake disc rotor is included at an outer periphery of a second predetermined angle region. The annular plate includes a small diameter region disposed in a third predetermined angle region other than the second predetermined angle region. In the annular plate, an outer diameter of the third predetermined angle region is smaller than an outer diameter of the second predetermined angle region. The annular plate does not include, in the small diameter region, a portion that overhangs to one side in the axial direction of the annular plate and covers the outer peripheral surface of the brake disc rotor.
Freight trailer brake clearing system
A brake clearing system useful for clearing mechanical components of one or more brake units provided on a freight trailer having an air storage reservoir. The system includes a flow controller, at least one delivery hose, and at least one discharge device. The flow controller is fluidly between the air storage reservoir and the auxiliary tank. The delivery hose is fluidly connected to an outlet of the flow controller and delivers pressurized air to the discharge device. The discharge device, in turn, is configured to direct pressurized air at components of one of the brake units. The flow controller can include an inflow control unit, an auxiliary tank, and an outflow control unit. In related embodiments, the auxiliary tank can include a heater.
Bellows, and at Least One Disc Brake Having a Bellows
A rotationally symmetrical bellows has a first end ring and a second end ring with a smaller diameter, and multiple folds, which in a relaxed position each have two flanks running in opposite directions with respect to one another while forming a bend. The flanks extend approximately parallel to an axis of rotation of the bellows. The rotationally symmetrical bellows is designed such that in a relaxed position of the bellows, the second end ring is arranged at an axial distance to the first end ring.
METHOD TO PRODUCE HIGH CORROSION AND WEAR RESISTANT CAST IRON COMPONENTS BY WATER JET SURFACE ACTIVATION, NITROCARBURIZATION AND THERMAL SPRAY COATING
The invention relates to a method of producing a corrosion resistant coating system on a cast iron substrate preferably in the shape of a brake disc, the coating system being completed by a thermally sprayed top layer, characterised in that the cast iron substrate is first subjected to activation by means of a pulsed water jet after completion of machining which increases the surface roughness of the surface thus treated, whereupon the surface is nitrocarburized so that a corresponding diffusion layer is formed on it, whereupon the surface is subjected to an oxidation process in a next step and only then the top layer is applied by thermal spraying.
Method for Producing a Braking Element and Braking Element
The present invention relates to the field of automotive engineering and industrial plant engineering and concerns a method for producing braking elements and braking elements produced in this manner. The problem according to the invention consists in specifying a method and a braking element having improved wear and corrosion protection and a larger layer thickness of the frictional surface and which can be produced time- and cost-effectively. The problem is solved by a braking element which has at least one metallic main element having a frictional surface applied on a formed surface region, which frictional surface is a prefabricated layer of a metallic semi-finished product which is integrally connected to the metallic main element by means of a joining technique. The problem is also solved by a method in which the frictional surface is formed by at least one layer of a metallic semi-finished product and same is integrally connected to the metallic main element by means of a joining technique. The braking elements according to the invention can be used for example in vehicles, industrial plant or wind turbines.
Wheel Made of Fiber-Reinforced Composite Material and Provided with Galvanic Isolation
A wheel for a vehicle, in particular a motorcycle or a motor scooter includes a hub region which has at least some portions made of a fiber-reinforced plastic material. The hub region includes a recess in which an insert for connecting the wheel to a vehicle axle is placed. An isolation element which galvanically isolates the insert from the hub region is arranged between the hub region and the insert.
Brake cylinder dust cover and waterproof brake cylinder using such dust cover
A brake cylinder dust cover is installed on a waterproof brake cylinder. The brake cylinder includes a brake cylinder body and a front cover. A waterproof dust cover assembly is arranged on the front cover. The waterproof dust cover assembly includes a dust cover fixedly connected to the front cover, and a filter felt support and a filter felt pad which are arranged in the dust cover. The filter felt support is connected with the dust cover, and the filter felt pad is fixed on the filter felt support. An outwards extending skirt is arranged at the edge of the dust cover in the axial direction thereof.
DISC BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR REDUCING BRAKE DISC CORROSION
A disc brake assembly for a wheel of a transportation vehicle having a brake disc and a brake caliper support for holding a brake caliper with friction brake pads. To reliably reduce corrosion of the brake disc, a bimetallic plate is provided on the disc brake assembly, wherein a sacrificial anode is secured on the bimetallic plate. The bimetallic plate adopts at least two positions, depending on the temperature of the bimetallic plate. In the first position, the sacrificial anode rests at least partially against the brake disc and, in the second position, the sacrificial anode is at a distance from the brake disc.
