In some examples, a brake system is configured to compress a brake disc stack to reduce and/or limit rotational motion of a wheel about a wheel axis. The brake system is configured to transmit a compression force on the disc stack to a plate member, such as a backing plate. The plate member may be configured to transmit the compression force to a support member such as a torque tube via one or more torque pads. The brake system includes a coupling system configured to couple the plate member and the support member. The coupling includes an elastic member configured to exert a force on a pin in a direction opposite the compression force to assist in keeping a locking tail of the pin engaged with the support member.

The bearing assembly comprises: an inner race comprising a forward inner race portion and an aft inner race portion; an outer race; and rollable balls. The forward inner race portion located closer to the brake pad than the aft inner race portion is made of a different and/or stronger material from and/or than the aft inner race portion located farther from the brake pad than the forward inner race portion, and/or is smaller than the forward inner race portion located farther from the brake pad than the aft inner race portion.

A disc brake system includes a first brake pad having a first type of friction material, a second brake pad having a second type of friction material different from the first type of friction material, and a poshrod arrangement configured to apply force in varying amounts on both the first brake pad and the second brake pad, the poshrod arrangement comprising an actuator movable to different, positions relative to the first brake pad and the second brake pad to vary a percentage of total braking force applied by the first brake pad and the second brake pad. A method for braking a vehicle is also provided.

A light emitting device provided in a vehicle includes a caliper body, an installation bracket located on an accommodation surface inside the caliper body, a light emitting module installed on the installation bracket and configured to emit light into a gap of the caliper body, a cable connected to the light emitting module, and an electronic control unit (ECU) connected to the cable, wherein the ECU controls at least one of a color, brightness, or cycle of the light emitted from the light emitting module. The light emitting device includes a light emitting module that emits light into a gap of a caliper body, and controls the light emitting module through an electronic control unit to beautify the caliper body.

Brake assembly

A brake assembly including a caliper that has a first guide bore, a brake carrier arranged to receive a brake pad, a first guide pin secured to the brake carrier, and a first lock arrangement. The first lock arrangement is operable to selectively inhibit relative sliding between the caliper and the brake carrier.
