The invention further provides ink particles comprising a) a core comprising a coloring agent, b) a shell, and c) an outermost layer comprising a surfactant or a dispersant, wherein: the core or the shell comprises a polymer, wherein the polymer is polycaprolactone (PCL), poly D-lactic acid (PDLA), poly L-lactic acid (PLLA), poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid), (PLG), polyethylene glycol (PEG), polyethylene glycol-diacrylate (PEGDA), poly(sebacic anhydride) (poly(SA)), polyorthoester, aliphatic polyanhydride, aromatic polyanhydride, or a copolymer thereof; the core further comprises an outer surface; the shell at least partially covers the outer surface of the core; the shell further comprises an outer surface; and the outermost layer at least partially covers the outer surface of the shell. The invention also provides a composition of the ink particles and a liquid carrier or a kit comprising the ink particles and a liquid carrier, and methods of using the composition and the kit for use in a method for tattooing a subject.

High shine single phase color cosmetic compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43° C. for example. The compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable as high shine, long wear cosmetics. Compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, hair and nails, particularly as eye shadow, eyeliner, lip products, tattoo products and mascara. Compositions may be formulated as liquid eyeliner, liquid eye shadow, mascara, liquid lip products and tattoo products.
