Brake drum and method for producing such a brake drum
A brake drum for a vehicle includes a friction ring and a drum body. The friction ring has grooves arranged on a radial outer surface along a circumference, and a coating formed on the grooves. The drum body is cast onto the radial outer surface of the friction ring so that the grooves are filled with a material of the drum body. The grooves include first grooves and second grooves. A first axial segment is formed at the friction ring in which the first grooves are introduced so that the first grooves are inclined relative to a first axial end of the friction ring. A second axial segment is formed at the friction ring in which the second grooves are introduced so that the second grooves are inclined in a direction which is opposite to that of the first axial segment. Each of the grooves have undercuts.

Vehicle disc brake assembly having a brake pad with a shim mechanically restrained from lateral movement
A brake pad for a vehicle disc brake assembly has a backing plate, a shim, and an adhesive bond between the backing plate and the shim that retains the shim on the backing plate. The backing plate is configured to support a brake lining and has a recessed portion with transverse first and second surfaces. The first surface is a bottom surface of the recessed portion and the second surface is a perimeter surface that defines a perimeter of the bottom surface. The shim has a face surface that is also transverse to the bottom surface. The face surface is configured to engage with the perimeter surface to mechanically restrain the shim in the recessed portion from lateral displacement.
FRICTION DEVICE
A friction device has a carrier element and friction lining segments arranged thereon. The friction lining segments each include a sintered friction lining, which is arranged on a friction lining carrier, the friction lining carrier is connected to the carrier element, and preferably the carrier element includes multiple fastening lugs and/or lining spring elements for the friction lining segments. In the design of the carrier element with the fastening lugs and/or lining spring elements, the friction lining segments each connect two fastening lugs or two lining spring elements to one another and/or the friction lining segments have an angle coverage between 25° and 55°.
BRAKE PAD HOLDER FOR A RAIL VEHICLE AND TOOL
A brake pad holder for a rail vehicle includes a pad holder and a brake pad held on the pad holder in a locked manner. The pad holder includes a guide channel extending in the longitudinal direction of the pad holder, in which the brake pad can be movably held, wherein, in order to lock the brake pad in the longitudinal direction of the pad holder, a locking latch pivotably held on the pad holder, which protrudes into the guide channel in a locking position in which the brake pad is fixed in a functional position, and is removed from the guide channel in a release position.
Method and apparatus for manufacturing brake pad for quality stabilization
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a brake pad, which are configured to stabilize quality of the brake pad. The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a brake pad including a friction material and a backing plate which are coupled to each other, the method including: a preliminary process of preparing friction material powder and the backing plate; a forming process of forming the friction material powder in the form of the friction material and attaching the friction material to one surface of the backing plate; a quality stabilization process of heating and pressing the friction material after the forming process is completed; a heat treatment process of heating the brake pad at a predetermined temperature after the quality stabilization process is completed; and a grinding process of grinding the friction material.

METHOD AND PLANT FOR MANUFACTURING BRAKING ELEMENTS
Method and plant for manufacturing braking elements such as vehicle brake pads. The plant can comprise a first station that applies an adhesive to a first face of a metallic element; a second station that applies to the first face of the metallic element a block of friction material; a checking station that verifies the presence of the adhesive by detecting the gray level of a plurality of points of at least one zone of the first face; and a processing unit that compares the gray level detected for each point with a first threshold value, counts the number of points that have a gray level that satisfies a relationship (which is a function of the threshold value,) and compares such a value with a second threshold value to discard those metallic elements for which the percentage calculated does not correspond to the second threshold value.
