A brake assembly that includes a brake pad assembly, a pad spring, and a sensor unit. The brake pad assembly includes friction material disposed on a backplate. The pad spring is mounted to the backplate. The sensor unit straddles the backplate and extends from the backplate to the pad spring.

BRAKE DEVICE
A brake device including a guide receiving area for connecting to a bearing component, forming a brake device bearing moveable in the direction of a first straight line. The brake device has a brake caliper with a first frictional surface and a first actuation surface, a pressing part being linearly guided along the first straight line relative to the brake caliper. The pressing part has a second frictional surface and a second actuation surface, and the brake device has a spreading element which interacts with the first actuation surface and the second actuation surface. The rotation of the spreading element changes the minimum distance between the frictional surfaces. A movement damping part coupled to the spreading element is designed to damp a translational movement of the spreading element relative to the bearing component in the guide receiving area parallel to the first straight line.
ELECTROMAGNETIC BRAKE FOR POWERED MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICE
An electromagnetic brake assembly includes a solenoid coil; a fixed ferrous brake stator; a ferrous armature having a braking face, wherein the armature is moveable in a translation direction relative to the brake stator between a disengaged position and an engaged position; and a rotating member including a mating surface and that rotates relative to the armature when the armature is in the disengaged position. When the solenoid coil is energized, the armature translationally moves from the disengaged position to the engaged position, and in the engaged position the braking face of the armature interacts with the mating surface of the rotating member to apply a braking force to the rotating member. The braking face and the mating surface may form a conical interface, and the conical interface further may include a friction O-ring positioned within a slot that permits the O-ring to roll along the braking interface when the armature moves between the disengaged position and the engaged position.
CLUTCH DEVICE
A rotational translation unit includes a rotation portion that rotates relative to a housing upon receiving an input of torque output from a speed reducer, and a translation portion that moves relative to the housing in an axial direction according to rotation of the rotation portion relative to the housing. A clutch is provided between a first transmission portion and a second transmission portion that are rotatable relative to the housing, and the clutch allows transmission of the torque between the first transmission portion and the second transmission portion in an engaged state of the clutch, and interrupts the transmission of the torque between the first transmission portion and the second transmission portion in a disengaged state of the clutch. A return spring is capable of urging the rotational translation unit in a direction away from the clutch relative to the housing.
Electric disc brake
An object of the present invention is to provide an electric disc brake suitable for improving responsiveness. The electric disc brake includes: a rotation linear motion conversion mechanism configured to convert rotational motion of the rotary member into linear motion; a return spring configured to store torque for retreating the piston according to rotation of a rotary member; and a clutch configured to make a transition between a state in which the torque is able to be stored in the return spring and a state in which storage of the torque in the return spring is deterred. The clutch includes: a first disc and a third disc configured to rotate together with the rotary member, and a second disc disposed between the first disc and the third disc. The return spring has one end portion coupled to the caliper body and another end portion coupled to the second disc.

CLUTCH ACTUATOR
A prime mover includes a stator provided in a housing, a rotor provided to be rotatable relative to the stator, and a magnet provided in the rotor, and is operated by energization and capable of outputting a torque from the rotor. A magnet cover is provided to cover at least a part of the magnet. The speed reducer includes a sun gear, a planetary gear, a carrier, a first ring gear, and a second ring gear. The carrier is provided on a radially outer side of the sun gear and on a radially inner side of the first ring gear and the second ring gear to come into contact with the magnet cover or the rotation portion.
ROTARY ACTUATOR
A rotary actuator includes a housing, a motor, a speed reducer, and a rotational translation unit. The motor includes a stator that includes a coil and is fixed to the housing, and a rotor that is provided with a magnet and rotates when the coil is energized. The speed reducer decelerates and outputs a torque of the motor. The speed reducer is a planetary gear mechanism including a sun gear, multiple planetary gears, and a ring gear. At least one of projection region components, which are components constituting the speed reducer and are located in a magnet projection region obtained by projecting a magnet in an axial direction, is formed of a non-magnetic material.
