Polyurethane gel composition and use thereof
Provided is a polyurethane gel composition containing A and B below. Here, A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (a) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having isocyanate groups at the terminals and (b) a glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), or A represents a polyurethane obtained by reaction of (c) a hydrogenated polybutadiene having hydroxyl groups at the terminals, (d) a diisocyanate compound, and the (b) glycol represented by HO—R.sub.3—OH (wherein R.sub.3 represents a linear or branched C2 to C6 alkylene group optionally having an ether bond), and B represents an oil agent. The polyurethane gel composition of the present invention is particularly useful as a raw material for cosmetics since a film of an oil-soluble gel obtained using the polyurethane gel composition is exceptionally excellent in any point of transparency, high gloss, elasticity, and resilience.

Method for analyzing degree of hydrophobicity of powder, highly hydrophobized coloring pigment, and cosmetic containing said coloring pigment
The present invention addresses the problem of evaluating the hydrophobicity of a powder. According to the present invention, a powder is charged into a mixed solvent composed of a lipophilic solvent and a hydrophilic solvent, the voltage rate R of the mixed solvent is measured at predetermined time intervals while adding a lipophilic solvent to the mixed solvent charged with the powder, a parameter x correlating with the concentration of powder is defined for an arbitrary voltage rate R, a continuous function HP(x) of the ratio of a lipophilic solvent corresponding to x is defined, and HP(x) for required x is set as a representative value of a lipophilic solvent ratio distribution and used as an index of hydrophobicity.
Powder compositions having reduced fragility
Pressed powder compositions are provided. The compositions include at least about 80% by weight of a mineral portion. The mineral portion comprises at least one alkylsilane-coated mineral; polyhydroxystearic acid, synthetic mica, and less than about 12% by weight of binding agents. Methods of shadowing the eyes and methods of forming pressed powder compositions are also provided.

AQUEOUS SILICONE DISPERSION, COATING FILM AND COSMETIC
An aqueous silicone dispersion capable of forming an elastomer coating film when dried at a normal temperature, said aqueous silicone dispersion comprising: (A) a silicone elastomer which is an addition reaction product of an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane (A-1) having 2 or more alkenyl groups per molecule, an organopolysiloxane (A-2) having 3 or more hydrosilyl groups per molecule and a linear diorganopolysiloxane (A-3) having hydrosilyl groups at both ends of the molecular chain; (B) an anionic surfactant; (C) a nonionic surfactant; (D) colloidal silica; and (E) water.
BIO-BASED POLYURETHANE DISPERSIONS FOR DECORATIVE COSMETIC APPLICATIONS
The invention relates to decorative cosmetic compositions containing specific polyurethanes or aqueous dispersions thereof and containing constituents that produce decorative effects.
