The brake system includes a housing receiving a brake flag of a mover and a first brake pad disposed within the housing and having a first tapered surface. The brake system also includes a second brake pad disposed within the housing and having a second tapered surface and a wedge disposed within the housing and comprising a third tapered surface. The brake system also includes an actuator that moves the wedge, wherein movement of the activation wedge causes the first brake pad to move and causes the second brake pad to move.
HYDROXYAPATITE POWDER AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
In order to provide a hydroxyapatite that can be used without reservation in the food industry, a hydroxyapatite powder is provided composed of primary particles. The median size of the primary particles from which the powder is made is >0.10 ?m and the aspect ratio of the primary particles is <5. The specific surface area of the hydroxyapatite powder is ?10 m.sup.2/g, and the bulk density is >550 g/l. Also disclosed is a method with which such a hydroxyapatite powder can be obtained.
Multi-piston-dedicated heat dissipating caliper cover with easy installation
A multi-piston-dedicated heat dissipating caliper cover with easy installation includes a caliper cover body, a fixing assembly and at least two first fixing bolts. One side edge of the caliper cover body extends toward a side to form a first arc-shaped side plate, and the other side edge of the caliper cover body extends toward a side to form a second arc-shaped side plate. The fixing assembly includes a bolt fixing sheet and a positioning sheet, one end of the positioning sheet is connected with the bolt fixing sheet through a second fixing bolt, and the other end of the positioning sheet passes through a strip-shaped hole and then is inserted into a slot at a top of a brake caliper. By disposing the heat dissipating silicone sheet, a contact area is increased, which allows the heat generated by the brake caliper to be quickly transferred to the caliper cover.
FRICTION MATERIAL
A friction material comprising: (a) at least one lubricant, wherein the at least one lubricant includes an amount of graphite, and wherein at least about 30 percent by weight of the graphite has a particle size of greater than about 500 microns using a sieve analysis; (b) at least one metal containing constituent for imparting reinforcement, thermal conductivity, and/or friction when the friction material is brought into contact with a movable member, wherein the at least one metal containing constituent includes iron and an iron containing compound; (c) a micro-particulated material; (d) one or more filler materials; (e) optionally at least one processing aid; (f) a balance being an organic binder, wherein the organic binder has less than 1 percent by weight of free phenol; wherein the friction material is free of asbestos and substantially devoid of copper.
MECHANICAL BRAKE FOR AN ELECTRIC MOTOR
The present disclosure relates to mechanical braking mechanisms used in electric motor applications. The present braking mechanisms may be configured as non-back-drivable mechanical brakes and provide immediate braking of the motors. According to one embodiment, a mechanical brake assembly for an electric motor may include a female disk having a curved groove and an abutment. The mechanical brake assembly further includes a male disk having a projection, the male disk being attached to a rotor of the electric motor. When the electric motor is energized, the projection of the male disk is allowed to rotate uninterrupted with the rotation of the rotor. However, when the electric motor is de-energized, the projection of the male disk travels within the curved groove of the female disk and abuts the abutment of the female disk, thereby stopping the rotation of the rotor of the electric motor.
Mechanical assembly housing
An apparatus (10) that houses functional components of a mechanical assembly includes a frame component (12) formed of a first material, the frame component (12) bearing primary load, torque or pressure applied to the apparatus (10) during operation of said mechanical assembly. The housing apparatus (10) further includes a composite reinforcement component (130) for resisting forces applied to the apparatus during operation of the mechanical assembly and an enclosure component (80) formed of a second material of lower density than the first material of the frame component (12), the enclosure component (80) covering and sealing at least the functional components of the mechanical assembly from external conditions during operation of the mechanical assembly.
Additively-Manufactured Brake Pad Assembly with Controlled Compressibility Factor
A brake pad assembly having a consolidated lining comprised of an enhancement framework disposed within a tribological lining, the enhancement framework and tribological lining having substantially the same compressibility factor. The enhancement framework or tribological lining may advantageously be manufactured using an additive manufacturing technique.
PAPER FRICTION MATERIAL AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
This invention relates to a paper friction material and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the paper friction material is configured such that dispersibility and bondability are increased between a filler and a matrix. The paper friction material which is suitable for use in a vehicle, includes a friction base including pulp and a coating layer formed on the friction base using a mixture of latex and a functional material. The OH reactive group of the pulp and the aromatic ring of the latex are hydrogen-bonded so that the friction base and the coating layer are coupled with each other.
