A brake disc includes at least one friction surface consisting of a base body. The base body can be made from gray cast iron. At least one coating is applied on at least parts of the friction surface. The coating contains at least tungsten chromium carbide 2C and nickel-chromium NiCr. The coating may further contain tungsten carbide WC. The production of the brake disc according to the disclosure is also described herein. The coating has excellent oxidation resistance and good wear resistance even at high temperatures of up to 800 C.
Paper friction material and method of manufacturing the same
This invention relates to a paper friction material and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the paper friction material is configured such that dispersibility and bondability are increased between a filler and a matrix. The paper friction material which is suitable for use in a vehicle, includes a friction base including pulp and a coating layer formed on the friction base using a mixture of latex and a functional material. The OH reactive group of the pulp and the aromatic ring of the latex are hydrogen-bonded so that the friction base and the coating layer are coupled with each other.
Disc Brake for vehicle
Disclosed herein is a disc brake for vehicle. The disc brake for vehicle according to the embodiment includes a pair of friction pads disposed at both sides of a disc, a caliper housing and a piston configured to press the pair of the friction pads against the disc, and a moving guide configured to guide movement of the pair of the friction pads pressed against the disc by the caliper housing and the piston, wherein the moving guide may include a pair of guide arms disposed at both outer sides of the caliper housing and integrally connected by a steering knuckle of a vehicle, and the friction pad may be slidably supported by the guide arms using a pair of outward protrusions provided at both sides of the friction pad such that the friction pad extends between the pair of the guide arms and the caliper housing and further include a pad clip assembled with the outward protrusion to provide elastic support between the outward protrusion and the caliper housing.
BRAKE DISK AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A BRAKE DISK
A brake disk for a wheel brake of a land vehicle includes a main body formed from gray cast iron. The main body has at least one axial friction side, at least one anti-corrosion layer applied to the axial friction side, and at least one anti-abrasion layer applied to the anti-corrosion layer. The anti-corrosion layer is a duplex steel layer that provides a cost-effective coating for the brake disk and enables improved corrosion resistance. The anti-abrasion layer is wear resistant and is provided by a SiC material containing at least one oxidic or metallic binder, or by an iron-based alloy having a vanadium carbide reinforcement, a niobium carbide reinforcement, a boron carbide reinforcement, a chromium carbide reinforcement or combinations thereof.

Non-flowing silicone adhesive
Adhesive formulations are described that upon sufficient curing and drying, are not sticky or tacky at room temperature, yet can be heat bonded. The adhesives are particularly useful for use in bonding brake components together and find wide application in vehicle brake systems. When used in such systems, the adhesives do not flow in parking applications yet sufficiently dampen vibration in slowing or stopping applications to counter brake squeal. The adhesives can be provided in a tape form and used for bonding brake shims to brake pads in electronic parking brake systems.
Friction brake body for a friction brake, friction brake and method for producing a friction brake body
A friction brake body for a friction brake of a motor vehicle, in particular a brake disk, includes a base body made in particular from gray cast iron and having at least one wear resistant layer formed on a friction contact surface of the base body. The wear resistant layer is made from ferritic-austenitic steel and includes an incorporated hard material particle, in particular finely distributed hard material particle.
