A brake backing plate includes first and second sheet metal stampings. Each sheet metal stamping has a respective textured face with a plurality of integrally formed piercing members. A solid non-porous metal core is sandwiched between the first sheet metal stamping and the second sheet metal stamping. The piercing members of the first sheet metal stamping penetrate into the metal core, and the piercing members of the second sheet metal stamping penetrate into the metal core, to secure the first sheet metal stamping, the second sheet metal stamping, and the metal core together.

The disc brake for vehicle according to the embodiment includes a pair of friction pads disposed at both sides of a disc, a caliper housing and a piston configured to press the pair of the friction pads against the disc, and a moving guide configured to guide movement of the pair of the friction pads pressed against the disc by the caliper housing and the piston, wherein the moving guide may include a pair of guide arms disposed at both outer sides of the caliper housing and integrally connected by a steering knuckle of a vehicle, and the friction pad may be slidably supported by the guide arms using a pair of outward protrusions provided at both sides of the friction pad such that the friction pad extends between the pair of the guide arms and the caliper housing and further include a pad clip assembled with the outward protrusion to provide elastic support between the outward protrusion and the caliper housing.

A non-asbestos friction material contains a fibrous substance, a binder, and a friction modifier. The material contains no copper components, no carbonaceous raw materials, and no metal sulfides but contains an inorganic material having a laminar crystal structure and being different from the copper components, the carbonaceous raw materials, and the metal sulfides. Preferably, the inorganic material is at least one inorganic material selected from titanates, talc, kaolin, mica, vermiculite, and smectite.

Brake disc structure

A brake disc structure contains: a central disc made of metal material or metal alloy material, a first disc and a second disc which are made of ferrous metal materials, and a through orifice passing through central positions of the first disc, the central disc, and the second disc. The first disc includes a first brake face and plural first holes, the second disc includes a second brake and plural second holes, and the central disc includes plural third holes, wherein each of the plural first and second holes has a first diameter and a second diameter less than the first diameter, and diameters of any two adjacent first and second holes are different.
