A brake caliper housing includes a first end wall, a second end wall, and a transverse wall that extends from the first end wall to the second end wall. A method for manufacturing a clutch body for a synchronizing device of a transmission includes the steps of: a) providing an externally toothed clutch disk, b) providing a counterfriction ring, c) applying a friction lining onto the counterfriction ring, d) establishing a non-releasable connection between the clutch disk and the counterfriction ring, and e) upsetting a portion of the counterfriction ring at least partly provided with the friction lining in radially inwardly facing direction, so that a counterfriction cone is formed, which is provided for cooperation with a friction surface of the synchronizer ring.
BRAKE CALIPER
A brake caliper according to this disclosure is, for example, equipped with: a body having a pair of side walls arranged with a gap therebetween, a peripheral wall running between the pair of side walls, wherein the pair of side walls and the peripheral wall enclose the peripheral edge portion of a disk rotor from the outside of the disk rotor in the radial direction; brake pads positioned between the side walls and the disk rotor; pistons that are supported by the side walls and that press the brake pads toward the side surfaces of the disk rotor by means of applied hydraulic pressure; and a shaft that supports the brake pads and passes through an opening provided in the side walls. The opening includes a retaining part that retains the shaft in the circumferential direction at two contact points separated from each other along the edge of the opening.

A brake drum for a vehicle includes a friction ring and a drum body. The friction ring has grooves arranged on a radial outer surface along a circumference, and a coating formed on the grooves. The drum body is cast onto the radial outer surface of the friction ring so that the grooves are filled with a material of the drum body. The grooves include first grooves and second grooves. A first axial segment is formed at the friction ring in which the first grooves are introduced so that the first grooves are inclined relative to a first axial end of the friction ring. A second axial segment is formed at the friction ring in which the second grooves are introduced so that the second grooves are inclined in a direction which is opposite to that of the first axial segment. Each of the grooves have undercuts.
