COATING FILM AND AUTOMOTIVE PART ON WHICH COATING FILM IS FORMED, AND CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT
The invention provides a coating film having excellent adhesion, even without a chemical conversion film treatment being carried out as an undercoat treatment, and a metal automotive part having the coating film. A powder is deposited by powder-coating onto the surface of a metal automotive part that has been quenched after forging, and tempering of the metal automotive part and bake-hardening of the deposited powder are carried out simultaneously, thereby forming a skin film on the surface of the metal automotive part. The surface of the metal automotive part before the powder is powder-coated thereon is a work-hardened basis material surface that has been not subjected to a chemical conversion filming treatment.
Method of forming and machining a clutch hub
A new method of manufacturing a torque-transmitting clutch component is provided. The method includes coining an interface between a flange segment and a hub segment of the clutch component. Additionally, a torque-transmitting clutch component manufactured by the new manufacturing method is provided.
Method for producing a connecting element for transmitting rotational movements
A method may be used to produce a connecting element for transmitting rotational movements, wherein the connecting element has a joint outer part or flange and a connecting pin. The object of providing a method for producing a connecting element with a joint outer part or flange and a connecting pin, with which method weight-optimized connecting elements can be produced in a simple manner, is achieved in that a round-plate-like or tubular blank is deformed by flow forming or flow turning to form the connecting element.
Low loss direct point wet clutch fluid wall system
An improved multi-disc wet clutch assembly. The improvements include an inner clutch hub having eighteen holes extending through a wall of the inner clutch hub, arranged in six series of three holes with each series being disposed approximately sixty degrees apart from each other and starting at a different position along the length of the inner clutch hub wall. The improvements further include a diaphragm plate disposed within a bore at the distal end of the inner clutch hub. Methods of retrofitting preexisting clutch assemblies are also described.
SHARP EDGE GROOVES FOR FRICTION CLUTCH PLATES
A friction clutch assembly for an automatic transmission, a friction clutch plate, and a method of forming a friction clutch plate are provided. The method includes providing a friction material layer for a face of the friction clutch plate and cutting the friction material layer with a laser beam to form a plurality of grooves within the friction material layer. In one version, a friction plate for the friction clutch assembly includes an annular core plate having first and second opposed faces and defining an outer edge and an inner edge. Friction material is affixed to at least one of the first and second opposed faces. The friction material defines a plurality of grooves within the friction material, each groove being bordered by friction material having a ridge. The cross-section of the ridge has a corner having a radius of curvature that is less than 300 microns.
Friction material composition, friction material and production method thereof
A friction material composition containing an alkali metal salt as a friction adjusting material. The alkali metal salt is spherical and porous. The alkali metal salt has an average particle diameter of 20 m to 240 m. A friction material is produced by using the friction material composition.
BRAKE DISC AND METHOD OF PRODUCING THE SAME
A brake disc to be mounted on an axle hub, including sliding surfaces with which friction members respectively come into a sliding contact and which face in mutually opposite directions, wherein the brake disc includes: a first member having a disc-like shape and including a mount portion through which the brake disc is mounted on an axle hub and a radially outer portion located radially outward of the mount portion, one of the sliding surfaces being formed on the radially outer portion; and a second member having a doughnut plate shape, the other of the sliding surfaces being formed on the second member, and wherein the first member and the second member are bonded through a protruding portion formed on one of the radially outer portion of the first member and the second member and protruding toward the other of the radially outer portion and the second member.
SHAPED MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
A shaped material, for example, a disc for disc brakes, and a method for the manufacturing thereof. The shaped material has a plurality of layers of carbon fibers stacked along an overlap axis, each layer being formed by a plurality of radial segments and transverse segments. Each radial segment is adjacent and joined, on both sides, to a transverse segment and each transverse segment is adjacent and joined, on both sides, to a radial segment, forming in each layer an alternation of radial segments and transverse segments.
FRICTION PAD, FRICTION PLATE, AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A FRICTION PLATE
A friction pad includes a fastening surface, a friction surface facing away from the fastening surface, a shape delimited by a peripheral cutting edge, and a base rim extending along the peripheral cutting edge. The base rim is more compressed than a remainder of the friction pad. The reminder of the friction pad has a pad height and the base rim may have a base height that is at least one quarter of the pad height. The base rim may have a base width that is at least as large as the pad height.
ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
An electric parking brake (100) has a spindle drive (28) which is electrically actuable and self-locking. The spindle drive (28) comprise a spindle (34) with an external thread and a spindle nut (30) with an internal thread which is in engagement with the external thread. Here, the external thread and the internal thread have a symmetrical thread profile. Furthermore, the profile edges of adjacent profile crests of the external thread merge directly into one another via a rounded portion in the profile trough which lies in between. Furthermore, a method for producing a parking brake (100) of this type is provided.
