A guide assembly for a disc brake and method of mounting. The guide assembly may have a guide pin that includes a mounting portion and a guiding portion. A retaining bore of a brake carrier may receive the guide pin and retain the mounting portion. The guiding portion may protrude from an inboard-side of the brake carrier and may slidably support a brake caliper.
Brake lining arrangement, method
A brake lining arrangement, in particular for a disk brake of a motor vehicle, has a rear plate and a friction lining that is connected to the rear plate. The rear plate has a bearing face on which the friction lining is placed. The rear plate also has a member configured for fastening the friction lining on the bearing face. The friction lining has at least one cutout that is configured as a blind bore. At least one connecting pin is arranged fixedly on the rear plate so as to project from the bearing face. The connecting pin is configured to engage at least substantially without play into the cutout.

For example, a production process of a vehicle brake pad can include the following steps in time sequence: applying an electrical circuit a support plate; screen printing on the electrical circuit of at least a first electrode; screen printing on the at least first electrode of a sheet of piezoelectric material; screen printing on the sheet of at least a second electrode; applying a friction pad on the support plate; and bulk polarizing the sheet of piezoelectric material by a supply of power to the at least first and second electrodes.
BRAKE STROKE INDICATOR ATTACHMENT
The present disclosure provides a brake stroke indicator attachment for use with a sensor further comprised of a first bracket secured to the vehicle, the first bracket adjustably secured to the second bracket with securing mechanism to adjust a length of the attachment relative to the vehicle's slack adjuster. The second bracket is further comprised of an opening to receive the brake wear sensor, the brake wear sensor to be activated based on wear and tear of the brake pads.
Wheel Hub with Integrated Circular Brake Element
In one aspect, a wheel hub apparatus including a wheel hub that is rotatable about a central axis and has a unitary, one-piece construction. The wheel hub apparatus further includes a circular brake element having a unitary, one-piece construction and extending about the wheel hub. The wheel hub and the circular brake element include engaged portions securing the wheel hub and the circular brake element together. The engaged portions of the wheel hub and the circular brake element fix the circular brake element against axial movement along the wheel hub. In this manner, the engaged portions of the wheel hub and the circular brake element provide a mechanical joint that connects the wheel hub and the circular brake element using the material of the wheel hub and the circular brake element.

The spring device is for bracing the outer plate and the inner plate together with a pressing force to close the friction clutch. The connecting means includes an actuating surface via which the friction clutch can be actuated by an actuating device.

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a brake pad, which are configured to stabilize quality of the brake pad. The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a brake pad including a friction material and a backing plate which are coupled to each other, the method including: a preliminary process of preparing friction material powder and the backing plate; a forming process of forming the friction material powder in the form of the friction material and attaching the friction material to one surface of the backing plate; a quality stabilization process of heating and pressing the friction material after the forming process is completed; a heat treatment process of heating the brake pad at a predetermined temperature after the quality stabilization process is completed; and a grinding process of grinding the friction material.
