SPRING APPLIED, HYDRAULICALLY RELEASED WHEEL-MOUNT BRAKE HAVING IMPROVED STATIONARY DISC SUPPORT
A brake (10) includes a housing (12) formed from a first housing portion (14) capable of receiving a second housing portion (16). The first housing portion (14) houses a piston (18) and a plurality of springs (20), and the second housing portion (16) houses an alternating arrangement of discs (52) for enacting a braking function. The second housing portion (16) further includes torque pin holes (80) for receiving torque pins (82) therein. Each torque pin (82) is secured with a plug (84) to secure stationary discs (54A, 54B, 54C) in place. The stationary discs (54A, 54B, 54C) have extending ears (74) positioned between torque pin grooves (76), which further receive the torque pins (82).
Vehicle disc brake
The present invention is a vehicle disc brake for which incorrect installation of a friction pad can be prevented with a simple structure. The disc brake is provided with incorrect installation-preventing parts with which, if a friction pad (4) is installed with an incorrect installation orientation when a pair of tabs (10, 11) provided on the disc entry-side and disc exit-side of the back plate (4d) of a friction pad (4) is installed into pad guide grooves (9) formed on a caliper body (3), the tabs bump into the caliper body (3) and prevent the incorrect installation. The incorrect installation-preventing parts are formed from caliper-side recesses (9d, 9e), which are formed in the pad guide grooves (9) towards the center of the caliper body, and tab-side protrusions (10a, 11a), which have shapes that correspond to the caliper-side recesses (9d, 9e).
Assembled axle brake disc
The invention relates to an assembled undular brake disc having a hub and having two friction rings which are arranged parallel to and spaced apart from one another, which assembled undular brake disc can withstand high mechanical loads and permits good internal ventilation, wherein an insert element with arms extending radially outward in a stellate manner is arranged between the friction rings.
Clutch actuator for actuating a vehicle clutch
A clutch actuator (1) for actuating a vehicle clutch includes a cylinder (3) filled with pressure medium. An annular piston (4) is axially displaceably arranged in the cylinder. The annular piston (4) is fixedly operatively connected to a sliding sleeve (5) slidably mounted on a guide sleeve (6). A radially inner casing surface (16) of the annular piston (4) has an inner radius (Ri) and is arranged radially next to the guide sleeve (6). A sliding ring (18; 19) supports the sliding sleeve (5) on the guide sleeve (6). The sliding ring (18; 19; 18a) is inserted into a groove (27; 28) in the radially inner casing surface (16). In order to be able to mount undivided sliding rings, the groove (27; 28) has a single radially extending groove wall (29; 32) and is open toward an axially outer or inner end face (30; 33) of the annular piston (4).
A BRAKING ARRANGEMENT AND AN ATTACHMENT MEMBER
A braking arrangement includes a brake liner, a backing plate and an attachment member for interconnecting the brake liner to the backing plate, wherein the brake liner includes a recess in a surface facing the backing plate, wherein the backing plate includes a through hole associated to the recess of the brake liner; wherein the attachment member includes a first portion engaging the recess of the brake liner, wherein the attachment member further includes a second portion extending from the first portion of the attachment member and forming a one-piece unit with the first portion, and in that the second portion extends into the through hole of the backing plate and engages with the backing plate. An attachment member and a method for interconnecting a brake liner to a backing plate by an attachment member are also provided.
DAMPER ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SPRING SUPPORT PLATE CONFIGURED FOR RECEIVING ARC SPRINGS AFTER ASSEMBLY
A damper assembly for a torque converter is provided. The damper assembly includes a spring retainer including an interior space configured for holding springs and a spring support plate fixed to the spring retainer to define an inlet gap between a first section of an outer circumference of the spring support plate and the spring retainer for insertion of one of the springs. The outer circumference of the spring support plate further includes a second section circumferentially offset from the first section. The second section is arranged and configured with respect to spring retainer for axially holding the plurality of springs in the interior space during operation of the damper assembly. A torque converter and a method of forming a damper assembly for a torque converter are also provided.
Centering mechanism for double cardan joints
A joint assembly having a first shaft having an end and extending along a first axis and a second shaft having an end and extending along a second axis is provided. A first inner ring coupled to the first shaft, a second inner ring coupled to the second shaft, and a sleeve coupled to the first and second inner rings are also provided. The first and second inner rings are disposed within the sleeve and a centering device engages the ends of the first and second shafts. The centering device is configured to maintain the angular positions of the first and second shafts relative to the sleeve. The centering device is substantially fixed from rotation during rotation of the first and second shafts and the centering device includes a receiving socket defining a socket path, the socket path having a different orientation than the second axis.
CASSETTE DRIVER FOR A FREEWHEEL HUB
Forward movement of a bicycle results when force is transfer from the chain or belt to a sprocket on a cassette. The cassette is splined to the cassette driver and causes the wheel of the bike to rotate when torque is applied from the cassette to the cassette driver. The cassette driver is typically made of a strong hard material such as steel to withstand the forces in parted thereon by the cassette. The present disclosure provide a hub configuration and method that enables the cassette driver to be made with construction of a lighter weight material such as aluminum yet still withstand the toque applied thereto.
