A selectable clutch includes: input and output members; a pocket plate connected to the output member; struts accommodated in accommodation recess portions of the pocket plate; a notch plate connected to the input member; a selector plate, disposed between the pocket plate and the notch plate; contact portions, movable in an axial direction of the rotational axis, rotating integrally with the selector plate around the rotational axis; and an actuators, fixed so as to be non-rotatable, including a plungers connected with the contact portion via bearings, cases, and coils accommodated in the cases. Further, by the coils being energized and the plungers being sucked in the axial direction, the contact portions are pushed in the axial direction, and by the contact portions being pushed to the input member, the selector plate rotates and the struts rise up.

This disclosure relates to a fluid friction clutch having a housing, a clutch disc which is arranged at one end of a shaft which is mounted within the housing, a working chamber which is configured between the housing and the clutch disc, a storage chamber for clutch fluid, and at least one feed duct which leads from the storage chamber to the working chamber. Moreover, a pressure relief device for discharging clutch fluid from the feed duct into the storage chamber is provided.

In order to improve the stability of operation of the selective rotation transmission mechanism, the yoke and the pressure receiving plate are configured such that separated regions are defined between the yoke and the pressure receiving plate when the latter is attracted to the former such that at the separated regions, the yoke is not in contact with the pressure receiving plate.

Switching Device for a Transmission of a Motor Vehicle and Method for Operating Such a Switching Device

A switching device for a transmission of a motor vehicle includes an unsynchronized claw switching element that has a first switching part and a second switching part which are rotatable relative to each other around an axis of rotation. The first switching part has a first switching gearing and the second switching part has a second switching gearing which are displaceable relative to each other along the axis of rotation between a coupled position and an uncoupled position. Rotation positions in which the first and second switching parts are rotated relative to each other are detectable by a detection device. An electronic computing device moves the first and second switching parts from the uncoupled position into the coupled position depending on detected rotation positions. The detection device has a sensor element and a transmitter element, with transmitter segments, fixedly connected to the second switching part.

A viscous clutch according to the present invention, which is composed of a main body having a fluid storage chamber of a concave shape formed at a central portion thereof and a cover having a concave fluid operation chamber formed at a central portion thereof, comprises: a fan housing in which the main body is stacked on an upper side of the cover so that an opening of the fluid operation chamber can be covered; a drive shaft which extends in a vertical direction and has a lower end inserted through a bottom plate of the main body; a rotor fixedly coupled to the lower end of the drive shaft so as to be rotatable in the fluid operation chamber; a rotary assembly integrally coupled to the main body so as to cover an opening of the fluid storage chamber; a coil core mounted on an upper surface of the rotary assembly and generating an electromagnetic force when an electric current is applied from the outside; and a valve assembly for opening or closing a fluid outlet according to whether or not an electric current is applied to the coil core.

An in-line, clutch engagement assembly provides a pair of clutch engagement plates coupled between a flexible shaft drive transmission and a driver assembly insertable into the handle assembly of the tool to provide one-handed actuation and de-actuation of the feed roll.

CLUTCH ARRANGEMENT

Clutch arrangement provided with a housing and a clutch device, one of which serves as a clutch element carrier for a clutch element and the other serves as a friction region carrier. The clutch element has a carrier for a friction lining and a holding apparatus for receiving the carrier on the clutch element carrier, radially adjacently with respect to the friction lining. In a first radial region, the clutch housing has an axial projection at a first axial spacing from the clutch device and, with a radial offset with respect thereto, has an axial recess at a second axial spacing from the clutch device in a second radial region, and has a transition region radially between the axial projection and the axial recess, either the axial projection or the axial recess being intended to provide a bearing face for at least one component of the clutch device.

The gearbox includes a gearbox output rotatably coupled to the driveshaft; and a clutch including an intermediate shaft and at least one clutch shoe rotatably coupled to the intermediate shaft and displaceable between a non-engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe does not engage the gearbox output and an engaging position where the at least one clutch shoe engages the gearbox output. The clutch is configured such that the at least one clutch shoe displaces to the engaging position when a rotational speed of the intermediate shaft reaches a threshold value.
