DAMPENER FOR AN APPLIANCE
A dampener, and an appliance with a dampener, wherein the dampener provides resistance against the movement of a door of the appliance between an open and closed position. The dampener can be incorporated into the door of the appliance in manner than provides strength for proper operation while also allowing for streamlined aesthetics and less bulk.
Damper having torque limiter function
A damper includes an outer cover having a front cover and a rear cover. The covers are joined to form a lubricant oil accommodation chamber for accommodating liquid. A damper device, a limiter mechanism, a first plate including a first collar portion located toward the front of the limiter mechanism, and a second plate including a second collar portion located toward the rear of the limiter mechanism are arranged in the outer cover. The limiter mechanism includes a first limiter plate, which is an input side on the torque transmission path, a second limiter plate, which is an output side on the torque transmission path, and a limiter disc spring, which presses the limiter plates.

ADJUSTABLE STIFFNESS ASSEMBLY
The invention provides an adjustable stiffness assembly for use in conjunction with a fixed stiffness element to elastically connect a structure to a mass. The assembly includes a structure mount, a mass mount, and a rotatable stiffness element. The rotatable stiffness element rotatably engages with the structure mount and the mass mount, and has a minimum stiffness value with respect to forces in a direction a maximum stiffness value with respect to forces in another direction The fixed stiffness element and the adjustable stiffness assembly together provide a complete stiffness assembly having a total stiffness value with respect to force in the global direction for elastically connecting the mass and the structure. The first rotatable stiffness element is rotatable relative to the structure mount and the first mass mount to vary the total stiffness value of the complete stiffness assembly with respect to force in the global direction.
Brake axle sleeve
An aircraft brake system may include an axle and a brake axle sleeve. The brake axle sleeve may have a plurality of recesses asymmetrically disposed about an inner circumference of the brake axle sleeve. The plurality of recesses may attenuate vibrations in the aircraft brake system.
Transmission electronic shifter with adjustable damped friction clutch
An electronic shifter can include a base, a shift lever assembly, a detent system and a clutch system. The shift lever assembly can include a pivot base having a coupling member. The detent system can include a biasing member and a detent member associated with the shift lever assembly. The biasing member can bias the detent member into engagement with a cam member. The clutch system can include a flexible clutch member and a bearing area having a bearing surface. The bearing area can be associated with the base and can receive the coupling member and clutch member to pivotably couple the shift lever assembly to the base. The detent system can apply a downward force onto the coupling member thereby forcing the clutch member against the bearing surface and providing frictional damping of the shift lever assembly during movement thereof proportional with a biasing force of the biasing member.
Drive shaft damper
A drive shaft damper may be inserted into a hollow automotive drive shaft. The damper includes both foam and a non-foamed retaining member positioned on its outer surface. The foam, which extends above the damper's outer surface, typically possesses a maximum operating temperature of 175 C. or higher.
