Magnetic self-centering shimmy damper
A shimmy damper for centering a landing gear includes a cap and a housing. The shimmy damper further includes a damper shaft extending from the cap to the housing. The shimmy damper further includes a plurality of magnets configured to exert an opposing force on the cap and the housing via the damper shaft, providing a centering mechanism of the damper shaft within the housing. This centering action in turn provides for the centering of the landing gear during flight.
FREQUENCY SENSITIVE SHOCK ABSORBER
The present disclosure relates to a frequency sensitive shock absorber, and the frequency sensitive shock absorber includes a piston rod coupled so that one side is located inside a cylinder and the other side is located outside the cylinder, a main valve coupled to the piston rod and partitioning an inner space of the cylinder into a compression chamber and a tension chamber, a sub-piston rod coupled to one side of the piston rod and interlocked with the piston rod to reciprocate along a longitudinal direction of the cylinder, and a sub-valve module coupled to the sub-piston rod and generating a damping force according to a frequency during a tension stroke.
SOLENOID, DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTMENT MECHANISM, AND DAMPING FORCE ADJUSTABLE SHOCK ABSORBER
A molded coil includes a bobbin, a coil, and an exterior member. The coil is wound around the bobbin, and generates a magnetic force in reaction to power supply. The exterior member covers the coil and the bobbin therewith. Two seams, a first seam and a second seam are provided between the bobbin and the exterior member. A first seal member is disposed on an upstream side of the first seam and between a cover member and the exterior member. A second seal member is disposed on an upstream side of the second scam and between a flange portion of a stator core main body and the exterior member.
SUSPENSION DEVICE
The suspension device for vehicles includes: an electric damper which operates by electricity; a fluid pressure damper which operates by hydraulic pressure; a road-surface state detector which detects a road-surface state ahead of a tire of a vehicle; and a controller which causes at least one to operate among the electric damper and the fluid pressure damper, based on a detection result of the road-surface state detector.
ACTIVE DAMPING SYSTEM FOR SUSPENDED RIDE SYSTEM
An automated damping system including a damping device arranged and disposed to provide variable resistance to a load. The variable resistance provides resistance values corresponding to a displacement position of the damping device. The system includes a damping profile generator that calculates a damping profile and a sensor is arranged and disposed to measure one or more damping affecting properties. The sensor provides the one or more damping affecting properties to the damping profile generator. The damping profile provides the variable resistance based upon the one or more damping affecting properties of the load.
Hydraulic Shock Absorber
A hydraulic shock absorber including a housing and an absorber unit. The absorber unit is movable relative to the housing in the axis direction of an absorber unit middle axis A-A and includes a piston which is arranged on a piston rod and which subdivides the housing into a first and a second working space which is filled with damping fluid.
Devices, Systems and Methods for Shock Absorption
Devices, systems, and methods for shock absorption are provided herein. Collapsible shock absorption devices have an inner wall having at least one orifice, an outer wall, and a fluid sealed within the outer wall can mitigate sharp increases in force during loading and can better distribute loading forces. In some cases, collapsible shock absorption devices disclosed herein are used for prevention of injury to a biological tissue of a subject or damage to an inanimate object.
Damper and damper monitoring method
A damper is provided which can more reliably prevent malfunction and breakdown and which enables efficiently performing repair and inspection operations. This damper, provided with a casing linked to a first object and a rotating part linked to a second object rotatably attached to the first object, damps rotation in either the direction closing or the direction opening the second object, and is provided with a sensor which detects prescribed change in the external environment in the damper or around the damper, and a control unit which externally communicates, over a communication network, information relating to the change in the external environment detected by the sensor, wherein the sensor is configured from at least one of: a rotation sensor for detecting the number of revolutions of the rotating part: a sound sensor for detecting sound during rotations of the rotating part; a temperature sensor for detecting temperature; and a torque sensor for detecting torque on the basis of friction during rotation of the rotating part.
Damper assembly and a housing for the damper assembly
A damper assembly comprises a main tube defining a fluid chamber. The main tube includes a first section, a second section, and an intermediate portion. A sleeve is disposed about the main tube. An external tube is disposed about the main tube and the sleeve. The external tube defines a compensation chamber between the sleeve and the external tube. A main piston divides the fluid chamber into a rebound chamber and a compression chamber. A piston rod couples to the main piston for moving the main piston between a compression stroke and a rebound stroke. The sleeve is in an abutment relationship with the second section of the main tube, radially spaced apart from the first section of the main tube, defining a compartment extending between the sleeve and the first section of the main tube. A housing for the damper assembly is also disclosed herein.
Hydraulic Rebound Stop Pressure Relief System
A damper comprises a pressure tube extending longitudinally between a first pressure tube end and a second pressure tube end, a piston arranged in sliding engagement inside the pressure tube, a piston rod coupled to the piston, a hydraulic rebound stop positioned in a first working chamber and including a sealing ring circumferentially extending around the piston rod and within the pressure tube. The sealing ring at least partially defining a high-pressure region within the pressure tube during a rebound stroke the damper further comprising a pressure relief valve in fluid communication with the high-pressure region. The pressure relief valve being operable to allow pressurized fluid from the high-pressure region to pass therethrough once a predefined pressure threshold has been reached.
