Power transmission device
In a power transmission device, a dynamic damper is provided in a power transmission path having at least one damper disposed therein, and has an inertial rotating body that can rotate relative to a transmission rotating member forming part of the power transmission path, and a dynamic damper spring that can provide connection between the transmission rotating member and the inertial rotating body. A preset load is applied to the dynamic damper spring in a non-transmitting state of the power transmission path. The dynamic damper spring is supported on either one of the transmission rotating member and the inertial rotating body so as to apply the preset load to the dynamic damper spring in the non-transmitting state, and a gap is set in a rotational direction in the non-transmitting state between the dynamic damper spring and an other one of the transmission rotating member and the inertial rotating body.
TORSION SPRING ADJUSTER
A torsion spring adjuster for a rolling shutter is provided. A support plate has a first flange with a hole. A wheel is rotatably mountable on the support plate. The wheel has: a drive recess shaped to engage an end of a torsion spring; a first set of recesses around a circumference of the wheel, the first set of recesses being a first lateral distance from a first end of the wheel; a second set of recesses around a circumference of the wheel, the second set of recesses being a second lateral distance from the first end of the wheel. When the wheel is mounted on the support plate the first lateral distance aligns the first set of recesses with the hole of the first flange of the support plate, and the second lateral distance aligns the second set of recess past the first flange of the support plate.
Device for supporting and guiding a vehicle hauling cable of a transport installation, articulation of such a device and method of manufacturing the device
Articulation for a supporting and guiding device for a vehicle hauling cable of a transport installation, including a first frame adapted to be attached to a support carrying a rotary roller intended to be in contact with the hauling cable, a second frame adapted to be introduced into an orifice formed within a carrying structure of the device, and at least one elastic element placed between the first and second frames and adapted to allow a pivoting movement of the first frame relative to the carrying structure, the articulation having a variable outer diameter able to decrease when the articulation is introduced into the orifice.
Mechanical spring actuator
A linear actuator comprising a housing with a proximal end and a distal end, and defining a central cavity extending axially; a piston tube at least partially positioned axially within the central cavity; a first elongated rotatable screw positioned axially within the central cavity; a first cylindrical nut mounted about the first elongated rotatable screw and configured to move axially as the first elongated rotatable screw rotates; a second elongated rotatable screw positioned axially within the central cavity; a second cylindrical nut mounted about the second elongated rotatable screw and configured to move axially within the central cavity as the second elongated rotatable screw rotates; and a spring positioned around the second elongated rotatable screw between the second cylindrical nut and the distal end of the housing, wherein the spring is configured to bias the second cylindrical nut away from the distal end of the housing.
METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT
Methods and apparatus of a system for vehicles comprising a vehicle suspension, a sensor operable to measure an operational characteristic of the vehicle suspension, and a processor in communication with the sensor that is operable to suggest an operational setting of the vehicle suspension in response to an input from the sensor corresponding to the operational characteristic. A method for adjusting a suspension of a vehicle may comprise receiving suspension data with a processor, calculating a suspension setting suggestion with the processor, communicating the suspension setting suggestion to a user interface device, and adjusting the suspension based on the suspension setting suggestion.
Motor vehicle
A motor vehicle has a housing for an energy store arranged on a bottom side of a floor assembly of the motor vehicle such that the vibrations of the floor assembly are reduced. A damping component id provided as an elastomeric spring, the material properties of which exhibit, under dynamic loading, dynamic hardening, so that the stiffness under dynamic loading starting from a frequency of greater than 0.1 Hz is greater by a dynamic hardening factor, which is greater than 2, than the stiffness which is present under quasi-static loading, such as when fitted for example.
Bi-linear energy dissipating and shock absorbing device for cable subjected to tension
A device (1) comprises: a cylindrical shell (4); a first spring (5) encased inside the cylindrical shell (4); a second spring (6) encased inside the cylindrical shell (4); a separator (13) in the cylindrical shell (4) separating the first and second springs (5, 6); a first end plate (12) on a first side (13a) of the separator (13) and a second end plate (11) on a second side (13b) of the separator (13); a first rod (2) and a second rod (3) passing openings (20a, 20b) provided at each end of the cylindrical shell (4), with the first rod (2) connected to the first end plate (12) and the second rod (3) connected to the second end plate (11); and a spacer (14) inserted between the first end plate (12) and the first spring (5).
Suspension system for adjusting projected light images
A suspension system including a set of optics which adjust the size and focus of the projection image originating at a Digital Micro-Mirror Device mirror set. The suspension and adjustment system for these optics may be mounted between the Digital Micro-Mirror Device housing and the optics carrier. This system has the capability to both adjust the resulting size and focus of the image at the same distance to a wall, as well as adjust for out-of-plane issues which often result in skewed images. This results in an adjustable focal and image size differing from the manufacturer's intended throw pattern and allowing broader use of the projector to make smaller images at the same throw distance.
Methods and apparatus for selective spring pre-load adjustment
A method and apparatus for a suspension comprising a spring having a threaded member at a first end for providing axial movement to the spring as the spring is rotated and the threaded member moves relative to a second component. In one embodiment, the system includes a damper for metering fluid through a piston and a rotatable spring member coaxially disposed around the damper and rotatable relative to the damper.
Shape memory alloy isolator for a gas turbine engine
A vibration isolation system for a gas turbine engine. The vibration isolation system includes a first fixed structure and a second fixed structure separate from the first fixed structure. The vibration isolation system further includes a connector coupling the first fixed structure to the second fixed structure. Additionally, the vibration isolation system includes an isolator, including a shape memory alloy material, associated with the connector. The isolator is arranged between the first fixed structure and the second fixed structure such that the isolator reduces vibrations transferred between the first fixed structure and the second fixed structure.
