VENTILATING AND FILTRATING FACE MASK
Aspects herein are directed to a washable and reusable face mask that provides effective filtration of small-sized particulate matter while providing a large surface area for gas exchange. The face mask is formed from knit materials and polyurethane materials and includes a plurality of molded pleats that extend from a right side edge to a left side edge of the face mask.
Face Mask Providing Filtered Intake and Exhaust Air
An air filtering mask is disclosed which includes a rigid component and a flexible component. The rigid component and the flexible component combine to form a space over a user's mouth and nostrils, to form a seal therearound and to maintain the mask in place. The mask also includes an exhaust port with an exhaust filter and an intake port with an intake filter. The mask further includes an air mover pulling exhaust air out the exhaust port, thereby drawing intake air through the intake port.
FILTER MASK WITH ACCESSORY BELT
The filter mask with accessory belt combines a filter mask with powered exhaust fans and an accessory belt for carrying protective and/or medical equipment, as well as a power source for the exhaust fans. The filter mask includes a rigid mask body having opposed outer and inner faces and at least one exhaust vent formed therein. An inhalation port is formed through the mask body, and a filter covers the inhalation port. At least one exhaust fan is mounted on the inner face of the mask body adjacent the at least one exhaust vent. At least one head securement strap is attached to the mask body. The accessory belt includes at least one pocket. A power supply is received within the at least one pocket of the accessory belt. The power supply is in electrical communication with the at least one exhaust fan for providing power thereto.
Anti-Germ Breathing Device
An anti-germ breathing device is provided for a user, the device including a heating element housing an electric conduit; a one-way valve in communication with the heating element, the one-way valve having a first air filter and being structured and disposed for permitting entry of air from the atmosphere into the heating element when the user inhales through an inhale tube; a suction electric switch structured and disposed for connecting a battery with the electric conduit for heating the electric conduit when the user inhales; a cooling element housing a plurality of bulkheads; an air tube in fluid flow communication with each of the heating element and the cooling element; the plurality of bulkheads being sized and configured for evenly distributing air so that the air cools before it is inhaled by the user; and the inhale tube being in fluid flow communication with the cooling element such that the user inhales cooled
FACEMASK FILTER ASSEMBLY
A facemask filter assembly including a layer of air filter material configured to fit inside of a surgical-type facemask. The filter assembly further including a strip of compressible foam that is coupled to the layer of air filter material near the edge (e.g., perimeter, periphery) of the layer of air filter material. The strip of compressible foam can extend around the entire perimeter of the layer of air filter material except for a gap at the midline of the upper edge of the layer of air filter material where the strip of compressible foam is absent creating a space to accommodate the nose of the user.
Combination face mask and air filter with UV lamp
A combination face mask and air filter includes a face mask; an air filter including a centrifugal fan, a circuit board, a filter element, a power supply, a housing for enclosing the centrifugal fan, the circuit board, the filter element, and the power supply, a cover releasably secured to the housing, and a UV lamp; a tube having a first end attached to the face mask; and a strap having two ends attached to the housing. The centrifugal fan includes an inlet and an outlet. The UV lamp is disposed at the outlet of the centrifugal fan. A second end of the tube passes through the housing to communicate with the outlet of the centrifugal fan.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR REDUCING PATHOGENS IN A BREATHABLE AIRSTREAM
A handheld device for treating air to a user includes an airflow path having an illumination chamber with a reflective surface, wherein the reflective surface is sufficiently reflective and configured to impart multiple reflections of at least a portion of the light introduced into the illumination chamber. The introduced light is produced by an onboard UV light generator, wherein the UV light generator can be cycled corresponding to at least one of a pressure and an airflow in the airflow path.
Facemask Fan System
A facemask fan system is provided. The system includes a facemask comprising a flexible cover having a pair of ear loops disposed on opposing lateral sides of the flexible cover. A fan housing is removably securable to an interior surface of the flexible cover. In some embodiments, the fan housing is integral with the flexible cover, such that the fan housing extends through the flexible cover placing an interior portion of the fan housing on an interior side of the flexible cover and an exterior portion of the fan housing on an exterior side of the flexible cover. A fan is operably connected to a motor and a power source, wherein the fan, motor, and power source are disposed within the fan housing. A plurality of controls is operably connected to the motor, wherein the plurality of controls selectively toggles the motor between an activated state and a deactivated state.
PARTICLE RETAINER DEVICE AND METHOD
A particle retainer having a support frame including at least one air flow port configured to permit contaminated ambient air to reach the filtration element of the particulate matter filtration mask. The particle retainer also has a mask mount fixed to the support frame configured to removably attach the particle retainer to the mask. The particle retainer further includes an air flow port cover affixed to the support frame, in which the air flow port cover features manually operable open state and closed state configurations for permitting and restricting air flow and particulate matter transfer.
PASSIVE FACE MASK
The disclosed passive facemask embodiments having a single exchange port covered by a filter are from a family of transparent facemasks that do not obstruct visibility of a person's mouth when worn. One problem with a typical, widely used, facemask is the difficulty in understanding a person speaking when they are wearing the typical facemask. Not only does the listener have to contend with the muffled speech of a person talking through a facemask, communication is made worse by covering up, or otherwise hiding the wearer's mouth and face with opaque filter material. Accordingly, some embodiments described herein present a clear/see-through filtration mask embodiment that does not visibly obstruct a person's mouth by providing a filtration system along or near the periphery of the facemask.
