MASK APPARATUS

A mask apparatus includes a mask body that defines a suction hole and a discharge hole, a face guard coupled to a rear surface of the mask body and configured to contact a face of a user, and an air cleaning module filter external air and to supply the filtered air into a breathing space in the face guard. The face guard includes a coupling portion that faces the rear surface of the rear body, a close contact portion configured to be in contact with the face of the user, a connection portion that connects the coupling portion to the close contact portion and defines one or more widths of the face guard in a front-rear direction, and a spacing protrusion that protrudes from an outer surface of the connection portion to thereby separate at least a portion of the connection portion from the suction hole.

MODULAR FACE MASK

A modular mask including a first module including a frame having two or more openings, and an attaching mechanism lining one or more edges of the two or more openings; and a second module including: a mask body having a first attaching element allowing the attaching mechanism to temporarily hold the mask body in place completely covering a first opening of the two or more openings, and a filter component having a second attaching element allowing the attaching mechanism to temporarily hold the filter component in place completely covering a second opening of the two or more openings.

A respiratory mask includes a mask body having a face-engaging portion, and at least one retaining member connected to the mask body and including at least one engaging member for receiving and tethering a liner to the respiratory mask to generally overlie the face-engaging portion. The retaining member may include a flexible elongated body having a central portion and opposing ends, and a bottom surface arranged to be attached to the respiratory mask. The liner may include a liner body constructed from an absorbent material and having an outer edge, an inner edge, and an opening bounded by the inner edge, wherein an extending portion of the liner body is defined which extends outwardly beyond the face-engaging portion and includes at least one aperture for engaging the retaining member. A kit for use with a respiratory mask includes at least one liner and at least one retaining member.

The first outer layer and the second outer layer are non-woven fabrics. The first outer layer includes a plurality of first pressed portions. The second outer layer disposed with a plurality of second pressed portions.

Unpowered respiratory protective headset and body suit and additional improvements to personal protective equipment

An unpowered respiratory protective headset for personal protective equipment and personal protective bodysuits with an unpowered respiratory protective headset, the unpowered respiratory protective headset having a respiratory mask having a flexible mask body having an interface section and defining a mask air inlet and a mask air outlet, an inhalation valve in the mask air inlet and an exhalation valve in the mask air outlet, and a hood having a hood body and a transparent face shield attached to the hood body. The hood has an air inlet and an air outlet and the air inlet, the mask air inlet, the mask air outlet and the air outlet are configured relative to each other to direct air flow across an inner surface of the transparent face shield to prevent or reduce fogging of the transparent face shield during inhalation and exhalation by a subject.

Multi-Section Protective Garment

A protective garment, such as a scarf, is provided having a first section and a second section that are detachable from one another. The first section, when detached, forms a fabric tube that may be worn over a user's nose and mouth as a gaiter or religious face and head covering for providing air filtration, while the second section continues to be worn as a garment. The first and second sections may then be reattached to again form a continuous garment. The first section may include an air filter pocket for insertion of a removable air filter to provide increased filtration. The second section may include accessory pockets.

Respiratory mask

The present invention provides a respiratory mask comprising a nose cushion assembly. The nose cushion assembly comprises a base body and a buffering piece. The base body has a base intake portion, a base connection portion, and an air routing piece disposed at the inside of the base body and having a partitioning wall and a wall connection piece. The inside of the partitioning wall encloses an air intake zone. The wall connection piece is disposed outside the partitioning wall and connects with the base intake portion. Between the partitioning wall and the base intake portion there is defined an air outtake zone. The air intake zone is approximately at the center of the base intake portion. The buffering piece connects with the base connection portion and encloses a nose containing room, which in turn connects with the inside of the base body.

Gas mask

A gas mask, for use with a gas filter or with a demand oxygen system, includes an elastic mask body, a connector and a counter-support. The elastic mask body is configured to be placed over the mouth and the nose of a user of the gas mask. The connector is attached to the elastic mask body and is configured to fix a gas filter or an end piece of a tube in a mount of the connector. The counter-support is attached to the elastic mask body and has a contact area for a support projection of the connector. The connector and the counter-support are arranged such that a force exerted on the connector in a direction of the user acts on the contact area of the counter-support at least partially via the support projection. The support projection is integrated at the connector by manufacturing in one piece.

Sterilization mask with UVC reflective chamber

The sterilization mask with UVC reflective chamber includes a chamber with reflective liner, through which inhaled and exhaled air passes. The reflective chamber is also referred to as a sterilization chamber. Using a reflective chamber ensures each photon of UVC light has a long life, thus dissipating slowly. Increasing the life of the UVC photons decreases the quantity of photons that must be created. Thus, less power is required to achieve the sterilization. Sterilization is defined as a 6-log reduction (99.9999%) of various microbes including viruses, bacteria, and spores. The reflective chamber is made reflective using an UVC internal reflective surface. This surface is preferably formed from ePTFE, or other equivalently UVC reflective material.

SANITIZING FACE MASK

A face mask is connected via a tube to a housing containing an ultraviolet (UV) light-emitting diode (LED) in a channel. A power source is connected to the UV LED. The channel is helical in shape and has undulations, so as to maximize the amount time the air is subjected to the UV radiation. The housing rear face has a fins to allow the heat from the LEDs to dissipate through the fins during use. This arrangement protects the user and others from excessive UV exposure and heat during use.
