The pylon assembly includes a transmission and a rotor system having a main rotor assembly. The compound helicopter also includes a main rotor vibration isolation system including a plurality of augmented liquid inertia vibration eliminator units each having an isolation frequency and each coupled between the fuselage airframe and the pylon assembly to reduce transmission of the pylon assembly vibration to the fuselage airframe at the isolation frequency. Each augmented liquid inertia vibration eliminator unit includes at least one active tuning element movable to tune the isolation frequency thereof.
Systems for damping a solar photovoltaic array tracker
Solar tracker systems include a torque tube, a solar panel attached to the torque tube, and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a housing defining first and second chambers, a first fluid passageway extending between the first and second chambers, and a second fluid passageway extending from the second chamber. A piston is moveable relative to the housing and a valve is positioned within the first chamber and moveable to passively control fluid flow. An active lock includes a shaft extending into the second chamber with a seal attached to the shaft. The shaft is selectively moveable between an unsealed position in which the seal is spaced from a chamber wall and a flow path is defined between the first fluid passageway and the second fluid passageway, and a sealed position in which the seal contacts and seals against the chamber wall to obstruct the flow path.
TELESCOPIC DAMPER ASSEMBLY
A damper assembly comprises a main tube extending along a center axis between a first end and a second end defining a fluid chamber. A main piston is disposed in the fluid chamber dividing the fluid chamber into a compression chamber and a rebound chamber. A piston rod extends along the center axis coupled to the main piston. An external tube extends about the main tube and defines a compensation chamber therebetween. The external tube includes a protrusion extending radially inwardly from an opened end to abut the main tube. An external piston is located in the compensation chamber and coupled to the main tube, dividing the compensation chamber into a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment extends between the protrusion and the external piston for containing a working fluid. The second compartment extends between the closed end and the external piston for containing a gas.
WIRELESS ACTIVE SUSPENSION SYSTEM
A wireless active suspension system is disclosed. The system includes at least one sensor mounted to an unsprung mass of a vehicle, the sensor having a low power wireless communication capability, the at least one sensor to send a sensor data transmission. The system also includes a controller in wireless communication with the at least one sensor, wherein the controller receives the sensor data from the at least one sensor and communicates an adjustment command to modify at least one damping characteristic of at least one damper.
Suspension Pre-Load Management System
A vehicle suspension pre-load management system is disclosed. At least one suspension component, such as a motorcycle shock absorber, has an expandable chamber that with increased volume of a nearly incompressible fluid increases the suspensions pre-load. In one embodiment the system utilizes a controller, a pressure sensor, a pump, and a number of solenoids in a manifold block to allow a user to set a desired pre-load level. In another embodiment the controller monitors the pressure of the chamber and maintains a desired pre-load setting. In yet another embodiment, the controller identifies a hard braking event such that would cause a brake dive and increases the pre-load to counter act the dive.
VIBRATION DAMPER HAVING A TWO-STAGE RESTRICTED DAMPING FORCE CONTROL
A controllable vibration damper with damping force control may include a damper tube housing that is filled with damping medium. The controllable vibration damper may also include a damping valve element that is structurally and fluidically connected to the damper tube housing for damping force control. The damping valve element may be configured as a pilot-controlled pressure-limiting valve having a pilot valve. Further, a two-stage pre-throttle valve assembly placed in front of the pilot valve. The damping valve element may be arranged internally with respect to the damper tube housing in some cases. In other cases, the tamping valve element may be arranged externally with respect to the damper tube housing.
Two-wheel mobile apparatus
A two-wheel mobile apparatus that is movable on land and water includes a cabin and a propulsion unit. The cabin is configured to be watertight to a height above a waterline when the mobile apparatus moves on water. Further, the cabin accommodates an occupant and isolates the occupant from the outside of the cabin. The propulsion unit includes a rotatably driven impeller and moves the mobile apparatus on water. An orientation detection unit that detects orientation of the mobile apparatus. A tilt correction unit corrects tilt of the mobile apparatus on land. An oscillation reduction unit reduces oscillation of the mobile apparatus on water. An orientation control unit switches between actuation of the tilt correction unit and actuation of the oscillation reduction unit based on a detection value of the orientation detection unit.
Anti-fall device
An embodiment of the present application discloses an anti-fall device including a trigger mechanism, a deformable structure and a shell. The deformable structure is connected with the trigger mechanism and is set to be compressed and elastically deformed when located in the shell. The trigger mechanism is set in the shell and is configured to drive the deformable structure to move in a direction away from the trigger mechanism, so that the deformable structure pops out of the shell and recovers to a natural state from a compressed state.
Variable steering wheel damper using electromagnet
A steering wheel damper may include a plate fastened to a hub of a steering wheel; one or more posts each having one side fixed to a surface of the plate and the other side extending perpendicular to the surface of the plate; a mass body spaced from the plate, attached to the other side of the post, supported by the posts, and having upper and lower portions configured as magnet bodies having different polarities; and an electromagnet made by winding a coil around a core fixed to the surface of the plate.
Torsional vibration damper and control device for torsional vibration damper
A torsional vibration damper that can reduce collision noise of an inertia body when a rotary member is stopped, and a control device therefore. In the torsional vibration damper, a rotary member is mounted on an output shaft of an engine such that none of rolling masses is situated within a predetermined angle range above a rotational center axis of the rotary member when the engine is stopped. Therefore, when the engine is stopped, the inertia body will not be supported by only one of the rolling masses situated within the predetermined angle range.
