Shock absorber and method for controlling a damping flow in a shock absorber
A shock absorber and method of controlling a shock absorber, wherein the shock absorber comprises damper body having an inner tube and an outer tube and a piston rod having a main piston arrangement arranged inside the inner tube. The shock absorber further comprises two separate electrical continuously controlled valves (CES1, CES2), one for compression and one for rebound flow, arranged with passive valves coupled in series with and downstream of the electronically controlled valves and with a communication chamber coupling these valves to a pressurizing chamber.
MOTORCYCLE SUSPENSION
A suspension unit has a piston assembly connected to an adjuster. The piston assembly has three or more concentric cylindrical bodies including: an outer tube; an inner tube, and a dampener rod. The dampener rod is inside and concentric to the inner tube. The outer tube is rigidly connected to the dampener rod. The inner tube is telescopically mounted to the outer tube. The inner tube is inside and concentric to the outer tube. The adjuster has an adjuster compression entry port. The axle clamp rebound port connects to an adjuster block rebound entry port. The adjuster block has a high-speed compression cavity formed on an end of the adjuster block.
System and method for predicting shock absorber lifespan
A shock absorber system may include at least one sensor that is configured to measure an operating parameter of the shock absorber during operation of the shock. The system may be configured to determine Time-Through-Stroke (TTS) and/or Rod Return Time (RRT) utilizing data from the sensor or sensors. The system may be configured to utilize machine learning to detect and/or predict a failure of the shock absorber.
MODIFICATIONS FOR PNEUMATIC POGO STICKS
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to pneumatic pogo sticks having features that allow for the jumping and/or landing characteristics of the pogo stick to be varied. These characteristics may even be modified by a user during use. For example, the housing of the pogo stick may have multiple air chambers and air may be selectively transferred between the multiple air chambers. The transfer of air may change the volume, air pressure, compression ratio, and spring-characteristics of the one or more air chambers in which air is compressed during the compression stroke of the pogo stick. These changes will affect the jumping and/or landing characteristics of the pogo stick and in some cases may allow the user to obtain a greater jump height. At the same time, these features may also allow the pogo stick to be collapsed so that it can be easily stored, packaged, and transported.
Systems for damping a solar photovoltaic array tracker
Solar tracker systems include a torque tube, a solar panel attached to the torque tube, and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes an outer shell, a first chamber wall and a second chamber wall within the outer shell at least partially defining a chamber, and a piston to direct fluid through the chamber. A valve is within the chamber that includes a first axial end, a second axial end, and a seal positioned on the first axial end. The damper assembly further includes a biasing assembly that biases the valve into a first position within the chamber in which the seal is spaced from the first chamber wall. The valve is moveable within the chamber from the first position to a second position in which the seal contacts and seals against the first chamber wall to prevent the flow of fluid through the chamber.
DAMPER ASSEMBLY INCLUDING INTAKE VALVE IN FLUID CHAMBER
A damper assembly includes an outer tube and an inner tube disposed in the outer tube defining a fluid space therebetween. The inner tube defines an inner volume. A piston is slidably disposed in the inner tube and divides the inner volume into a rebound working chamber and a compression working chamber. An active rebound valve is fluidly connected to the rebound working chamber and the fluid chamber, and an active compression valve is fluidly connected to the reserve chamber and the compression working chamber. An intake assembly is positioned in the fluid chamber to control the fluid flow through the active rebound valve and into the compression working chamber during a rebound stroke and to control fluid flow from the compression working chamber through the active compression valve and into the rebound working chamber during a compression stroke.
SYSTEMS FOR DAMPING A SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC ARRAY TRACKER
Solar tracker systems include a torque tube, a column supporting the torque tube, a solar panel connected to the torque tube, and a damper assembly. The damper assembly includes a first end pivotably connected to the torque tube and a second end pivotably connected to the column. The damper assembly further includes an outer shell, a piston within and moveable relative to the outer shell, a first chamber wall and a second chamber wall within the outer shell at least partially defining a chamber, and a valve within the chamber. The valve includes a first axial end defining a slot and is biased to a first position within the chamber in which the first axial end is spaced from the first chamber wall. The valve is moveable within the chamber from the first position to a second position to passively change a flow resistance of the damper assembly.
