FACE MASK AND SHIELD COMBINATION

A wearable face covering may include a mask including a filter and a cap, wherein the cap is configured to prevent any gas passing through the filter in a first direction from exiting the mask in the first direction; and a face shield including a partially-transparent screen, wherein the face shield is pivotally coupled to the mask.

SCBA mask shield

A protective shield is provided for covering a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask or a full-face air purifying respirator (APR) lens to prevent damage and scratching. The shield consists of a die cut shape of thermoplastic sheet that duplicates the outline of the self-contained breathing apparatus mask lens and/or frame. The protective shield can be produced using various grades, colors and/or densities of material replicating limited visibility or blackout conditions. To protect the majority of the plastic lens, the shape of the shield includes a peripheral overlap onto the mask utilizing the SCBA lens frame. The shield can be attached to the self-contained breathing apparatus face mask by means of any of the following: bungee, hook, or elastic cord; all of which allows the shield to be attached or removed quickly. Many SCBA/APR training exercises require limited visibility. The invention can be used as an effective training tool to prevent light transmission and simulate extremely limited visibility.

Respirator mask for CBRN or other protection

A respirator mask wearable by a wearer for protecting the wearer against inhalation of noxious agents (e.g., chemical agents, biological agents, radiological agents, and/or other poisonous or otherwise harmful agents that can cause disease, injury or death), such as a CBRN mask, may be configured to enhance protection of the wearer (e.g., by providing ballistic protection in addition to protecting against noxious agent inhalation) while reducing a burden on the wearer, such as by reducing respiratory resistance, improving visibility, and/or facilitating use of the mask (e.g., connection or disconnection of a filter, conduit, or other air-providing device to or from a breathing interface of the mask).

Respirator configured to accept vision-protecting module

A respirator including a facepiece with a transparent lens that is recessed radially-inwardly relative to an opaque frame of an opaque chassis of the facepiece. The respirator is configured to receive a vision-protecting module.

RETROFIT SENSOR MODULE FOR A PROTECTIVE HEAD TOP

The present disclosure includes a retrofit sensor module for use with a protective head top with a helmet and a visor. The sensor module includes a sensor housing and an attachment mechanism. The sensor housing encloses a head presence sensor to sense when the protective head top is being worn. The sensor housing also encloses a position sensor to sense the position of the visor relative to the helmet. The retrofit sensor module further comprises an attachment mechanism secured to the housing. The attachment mechanism mates with a first hinge component of a hinge assembly in the protective head top to removably install the sensor module into the protective head top, wherein the hinge assembly allows the visor to move relative to the helmet.

New Full-face Mask with Much Larger Look-down Field of Vision

This invention refers to a tight-fitting full-face mask for respiratory protection, which can provide a much larger look-down field of vision as a new model. It can be applied to industrial compressed air respirator with a self-contained open circuit, positive-pressure firefighting respirator, oxygen respirator, gas mask, and middle-pressure tube respirator. This has helped to address the problems that existing wide-field full-face masks can only provide a small field of vision and users cannot observe surrounding environments well with it. Besides breaking through traditional structure of existing wide-field full-face masks, this application reduces interface area in the middle of the bottom and moves it downwards to the greatest extent. The distance H is designed to be 137 mm-170 mm (except transitions) and distance L to 65 mm-98 mm for the purpose of obtaining a brand-new model. In this way, point A will be lowered and brought closer to face to improve look-down field of vision for the sake of super-wide field of vision which users expect for.

Mask

A mask includes a cover body, a first fan, a second fan and an air filter. The cover body has an air inlet and an air outlet penetrating through the cover body. The first fan is disposed on the cover body and matches the air inlet. The second fan is disposed on the cover body and matches the air outlet. The air filter is disposed on the cover body and partially overlaps the air inlet. The first fan drives an air-flow to rapidly flow from the atmosphere into the mask through the air inlet and the air filter. The air filter removes the particulates and the harmful substances in the air-flow. The second fan drives the respiratory gas to rapidly flow from the mask to the atmosphere through the air outlet. Therefore, the user is able to breathe comfortably with non-particulate and clean air.

In-Mask Feedback System

Disclosed herein is an in-mask display or feedback system having a lens coupled to a face blank of the mask, the lens covering a facepiece. The feedback system includes a display apparatus coupled to the facepiece, and disposed within an interior of the mask, the display apparatus being powered by a first power source coupled to a housing of the display apparatus. The feedback system further includes a recording device (e.g., a camera) coupled to the face blank, the recording device operable to communicate data (e.g., wirelessly or wired) with the display apparatus. In some approaches, the recording device is powered by a second power source. In other approaches, the first power source provides power to both the recording device and the display apparatus. In another approach, the display apparatus includes an adjustment aperture formed therethrough to allow adjustment of an eye piece housing a display.

Personal Protection System With Control Member

A person protection system including a garment configured for attachment to a helmet, wherein the garment defines a barrier between the wearer and the environment. The system includes a control mount integral to the garment and at least partially disposed on an environment side and a wearer side of the barrier. The control mount may include a lens configured to transfer light through the garment, and a sensor configured to detect the light transferred or reflected through the lens. A control member may be coupled to the control mount and configured to be manipulated by the wearer. When manipulated by the wearer, the control member may distort and/or disrupt the transfer of light through the lens that is detected by the sensor. The sensor may provide a sensor input signal based on the detected light.
