Personal protection system with control member

A personal protection system including a garment configured for attachment to a helmet, wherein the garment defines a barrier between a wearer and an environment. The system includes a control mount integral to the garment and at least partially disposed on the environment side and the wearer side of the barrier. The system may include an emitter and a sensor configured to detect a signal output by the emitter. The control mount may comprise a lens configured to transmit the signal from the emitter through the garment. A control member may be coupled to the control mount and configured to be manipulated by the wearer. When manipulated by the wearer, the control member may distort and/or disrupt the transfer of the signal through the lens that is detected by the sensor. The sensor may provide a sensor input signal based on the signal detected from the emitter.

PORTABLE PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR PREVENTING RESPIRATORY VIRUSES

The present disclosure relates to a portable protective device for preventing respiratory viruses, which is characterized in that a face shield can be worn in close contact with the user's face to prevent the user's eyes and respiratory organs from being exposed to the outside, whereby it is possible to prevent permeation of contaminated air by supplying purified air through an air purifier, and to enable a user to take drink, etc. while minimizing exposure to respiratory viruses because an insertion port for inserting a straw to enable the user to take drink such as coffee is provided.

Head Covering Device Providing Filtered Intake and Exhaust Air

A head covering air filtering device comprising a rigid component comprising a transparent face shield, a fabric component, wherein the rigid component and the fabric component combine to cover an entire head of a user and form a seal around the user's neck. The device further comprises an intake filter to filter all intake air entering the device, an exhaust filter to filter all exhaust air exiting the device, and an air mover causing intake air to enter the device and exhaust air to exit the device.

PAPR Frame

The PAPR Frame is a low cost solution that allows the assembly of a PAPR Device from readily available off-the-shelf elements. To assemble the PAPR Device, a face shield is inserted into the PAPR Frame. To utilize the PAPR Device, a user inserts the visor of a hat into the PAPR Frame and wears the hat. The PAPR Device may further comprise tubing segments; the tubing segments are inserted into tubing apertures arranged through a top curved piece of the PAPR Frame. The PAPR Device may also further comprise one or two sound attenuation structures, which are used to dampen the potential noise generated by the air flow within the PAPR Device.

Respirator with phase change material

A respirator includes a frame, a filter layer, and a face seal member. The frame has an outer side and an inner side. The frame defines an opening therethrough. The filter layer is mounted to the outer side of the frame and covers the opening of the frame. The filter layer is configured to prohibit permeation of aerosol, gas, and/or vapor contaminants therethrough. The face seal member is mounted to the inner side of the frame. The face seal member includes a seal contact area configured to engage a facial surface of a wearer. The face seal member incorporates a phase change material therein. The phase change material is configured to provide localized cooling by absorbing heat emitted by the wearer.

SCBA MASK SHIELD

A protective shield is provided for covering a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) mask or a full- face air purifying respirator (APR) lens to prevent damage and scratching. The shield consists of a die cut shape of thermoplastic sheet that duplicates the outline of the self-contained breathing apparatus mask lens and/or frame. The protective shield can be produced using various grades, colors and/or densities of material replicating limited visibility or blackout conditions. To protect the majority of the plastic lens, the shape of the shield includes a peripheral overlap onto the mask utilizing the SCBA lens frame. The shield can be attached to the self-contained breathing apparatus face mask by means of any of the following: bungee, hook, or elastic cord; all of which allows the shield to be attached or removed quickly. Many SCBA/APR training exercises require limited visibility. The invention can be used as an effective training tool to prevent light transmission and simulate extremely limited visibility.

Facemask with filter insert for protection against airborne pathogens

A facemask assembly can include an interior air filter that is replaceable and/or contains biocidal elements. The filter can capture exhaled H2O to activate silver ions creating a biocidal environment. In some embodiments, at least part of the facemask is made via additive manufacturing. A facemask frame assembly can create a pleated filter to increase surface area and bring the filter material closer to the mouth and nose. The facemask can include a facial skirt customized to the facial geometry of the wearer. The facemask can have a permanently sealed filter that can withstand boiling and autoclaving temperatures so the mask system can be sterilized without disassembly. In some embodiments, the facemask has a visible display of how many times the facemask has been sterilized. In some embodiments, the mask includes a RFID device that can transmit how many times the facemask has been sterilized.
