RESPIRATOR MASK FOR CBRN OR OTHER PROTECTION
A respirator mask wearable by a wearer for protecting the wearer against inhalation of noxious agents (e.g., chemical agents, biological agents, radiological agents, and/or other poisonous or otherwise harmful agents that can cause disease, injury or death), such as a CBRN mask, may be configured to enhance protection of the wearer (e.g., by providing ballistic protection in addition to protecting against noxious agent inhalation) while reducing a burden on the wearer, such as by reducing respiratory resistance, improving visibility, and/or facilitating use of the mask (e.g., connection or disconnection of a filter, conduit, or other air-providing device to or from a breathing interface of the mask).
SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS HAVING FACE PIECE VISION SYSTEM
The present disclosure provides a self-contained breathing device. In one aspect, the self-contained breathing device includes a face piece lens, a seal at an edge of the face piece lens, an air supply member at a central portion of the face piece lens, and a vision system embedded in the face piece lens with a portion of the vision system being exposed exterior to the face piece lens.
Data communication and displays for breathing apparatus facepieces and pressure regulators
A system includes a pressure regulator including a housing, an inlet for connection to a pressurized gas comprising oxygen, and at least one energy transfer element. The system further includes a respiration facepiece including at least one seal system to form a sealing engagement with the face of a user to encompass the nose and mouth of the user, thereby creating a volume of sealing engagement between the respiration facepiece and the user, an opening into the volume of sealing engagement of the respiration facepiece in communicative connection with an interface for removable attachment of the pressure regulator to the respiration facepiece, and an inspiration port in fluid connection with the interface and in fluid connection with the volume of sealing engagement. The pressure regulator interface includes at least one cooperating energy transfer element such that energy can be transferred between the at least one energy transfer element and the at least one cooperating energy transfer element to transfer at least one of data or power into the volume of sealing engagement.
UNPOWERED RESPIRATORY PROTECTIVE HEADSET AND BODY SUIT AND ADDITIONAL IMPROVEMENTS TO PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
An unpowered respiratory protective headset for personal protective equipment and personal protective bodysuits with an unpowered respiratory protective headset, the unpowered respiratory protective headset having a respiratory mask having a flexible mask body having an interface section and defining a mask air inlet and a mask air outlet, an inhalation valve in the mask air inlet and an exhalation valve in the mask air outlet, and a hood having a hood body and a transparent face shield attached to the hood body. The hood has an air inlet and an air outlet and the air inlet, the mask air inlet, the mask air outlet and the air outlet are configured relative to each other to direct air flow across an inner surface of the transparent face shield to prevent or reduce fogging of the transparent face shield during inhalation and exhalation by a subject.
Vision-protecting filter lens having organic polymer multilayer and neutral-density optical filter
A vision-protecting filter lens, including a multilayer optical film and a neutral-density optical filter.
Self-contained breathing apparatus face piece lens vision system
The present disclosure provides a self-contained breathing apparatus having a face piece vision system. In one aspect, the vision system includes a display component having an active matrix display device and a transparent heads-up display configured to be aligned with an eye of a user wearing the self-contained breathing device, and an infrared sensor component having an infrared lens assembly and an infrared image sensor for capturing an infrared image of a potential heat source that is projected to the transparent heads-up display.
Face mask
A face mask for a user having a face, a nose and a mouth, the face mask including a covering including a periphery, a top end, a bottom end, the covering configured to cover at least a portion of the nose of the user and at least a portion of the mouth of the user, wherein the covering is configured substantially according to the shape and size of the nose of the user and the mouth of the user; a first opening disposed at a first location of the covering; a second opening disposed at a second location of the covering; a first filter configured for covering the first opening; a second filter configured for covering the second opening; and a seal disposed on the periphery.
HEADS-UP DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR USE DURING A SMOKE EMERGENCY
A heads-up display apparatus for attachment to a goggle, comprising an enclosure for receiving within a heads-up display, the enclosure having a proximal wall adjacent a viewing window of the goggle and a distal wall away from the viewing window; the proximal wall is transparent; and the proximal wall and the heads-up display are in a line of sight of a user.
Respirator Mask with Eyewear Interface
A respirator including an oronasal mask. The oronasal mask has a first portion configured to cover a user's mouth and a second portion configured to cover a user's nose. The second portion includes an eyewear interface. The eyewear interface includes a first side defining a first concavity and a second side opposite the first side, the second side defining a second concavity. The first concavity and the second concavity being configured to receive a nose member of an eyewear.
In-mask feedback system
Disclosed herein is an in-mask display or feedback system having a lens coupled to a face blank of the mask, the lens covering a facepiece. The feedback system includes a display apparatus coupled to the facepiece, and disposed within an interior of the mask, the display apparatus being powered by a first power source coupled to a housing of the display apparatus. The feedback system further includes a recording device (e.g., a camera) coupled to the face blank, the recording device operable to communicate data (e.g., wirelessly or wired) with the display apparatus. In some approaches, the recording device is powered by a second power source. In other approaches, the first power source provides power to both the recording device and the display apparatus. In another approach, the display apparatus includes an adjustment aperture formed therethrough to allow adjustment of an eye piece housing a display.
