RETROFITTABLE MASK MOUNT SYSTEM FOR COGNITIVE LOAD REDUCING PLATFORM
A retrofittable mount system for a mask having a mask window comprises a sensor removably mounted to the mask to collect information about an environment as sensor data, wherein the sensor is removably mounted to the mask with a first mount mechanism that does not penetrate the mask window. A processor is coupled to the sensor, wherein the processor executes one or more cognitive enhancement engines to process the sensor data into enhanced characterization data. An output device is removably mounted to the mask with a second mount mechanism without penetrating the mask window. The output device receives the enhanced characterization data from the processor and communicates the enhanced characterization data to a mask wearer, such that the enhanced characterization data is integrated into natural senses of the wearer and optimized for the performance of a specific task of the wearer to reduce the cognitive load of the wearer.
Pleated spray tan mask and method of donning
A pleated spray tan mask and method of donning is donned and attached around the face, so as to protect a user from inhaling undesired airborne particles or vapor while being spray tanned with tanning composition, and also to prevent tanning composition from coating the face. The mask comprises three panels that cover a portion of the face and perform independent functions for protecting against sprayed tanning compositions. The mask provides a forehead panel and a lower face panel that are pleated to increase in size for larger heads. Pleats allow the mask to be one-size-fits-all. Another unique feature of the forehead and lower face panels is that flaps form at the edges of the individual panels. Flaps fold inwardly and enhance airflow behind the panels. Further, a mid-face panel disposed between the forehead and lower face panels is at least partially transparent to enable visibility while being spray tanned.
DATA COMMUNICATION AND DISPLAYS FOR BREATHING APPARATUS FACEPIECES AND PRESSURE REGULATORS
A system includes a pressure regulator including a housing, an inlet for connection to a pressurized gas comprising oxygen, and at least one energy transfer element. The system further includes a respiration facepiece including at least one seal system to form a sealing engagement with the face of a user to encompass the nose and mouth of the user, thereby creating a volume of sealing engagement between the respiration facepiece and the user, an opening into the volume of sealing engagement of the respiration facepiece in communicative connection with an interface for removable attachment of the pressure regulator to the respiration facepiece, and an inspiration port in fluid connection with the interface and in fluid connection with the volume of sealing engagement. The pressure regulator interface includes at least one cooperating energy transfer element such that energy can be transferred between the at least one energy transfer element and the at least one cooperating energy transfer element to transfer at least one of data or power into the volume of sealing engagement.
FACEMASK WITH FILTER INSERT FOR PROTECTION AGAINST AIRBORNE PATHOGENS
A facemask assembly can include an interior air filter that is replaceable and/or contains biocidal elements. The filter can capture exhaled H.sub.2O to activate silver ions creating a biocidal environment. In some embodiments, at least part of the facemask is made via additive manufacturing. A facemask frame assembly can create a pleated filter to increase surface area and bring the filter material closer to the mouth and nose. The facemask can include a facial skirt customized to the facial geometry of the wearer. The facemask can have a permanently sealed filter than can withstand boiling and autoclaving temperatures so the mask system can be sterilized without disassembly. In some embodiments, the facemask has a visible display of how many times the facemask has been sterilized. In some embodiments, the mask includes a RFID device that can transmit how many times the facemask has been sterilized.
LAYERED, COMPOSITE LENS AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION
A protective lens is provided having a first layer, a second layer and a third layer. The first, second and third layers each comprises a first surface and a second surface. The first layer comprises a substantially non-reactive material. The first surface of the second layer is positioned adjacent to the second surface of the first layer. The second layer comprises a substantially fire resistant material. The first surface of the third layer is positioned adjacent to the second surface of the second layer. The third layer comprises a substantially hydrophobic material.
Personal protective equipment system with sensor module for a protective head top
The present disclosure includes a retrofit sensor module for use with a protective head top with a helmet and a visor. The sensor module includes a sensor housing and an attachment mechanism. The sensor housing encloses a head presence sensor to sense when the protective head top is being worn. The sensor housing also encloses a position sensor to sense the position of the visor relative to the helmet. The retrofit sensor module further comprises an attachment mechanism secured to the housing. The attachment mechanism mates with a first hinge component of a hinge assembly in the protective head top to removably install the sensor module into the protective head top, wherein the hinge assembly allows the visor to move relative to the helmet.
Half facepiece
A half facepiece respirator has a shaped support piece supporting and fixing the position of a particle or paper filter insert or outsert with either the support piece or the particle filter incorporating a face sealing component. Placed within the shaped support piece, a grille may be placed in the lower section of the shaped support piece. Additionally the half facepiece includes a head harness having a release mechanism.
Dispenser and shield
To provide a shield and a dispenser from which the shield can be easily dispensed, the dispenser (100) according to the present invention stores a plurality of shields (1A) in a mutually detachable joined state in the container (50). As such, sliding and the like of the plurality of the shields (1A) against each other in the container (50) is suppressed and, therefore, sticking of the shields (1A) to each other due to the generation of static electricity is suppressed. Thus, a user can easily dispense the shields (1A) from the dispensing opening (51) of the container (50).
PERSONAL PROTECTION SYSTEM INCLUDING A HELMET WITH A SENSOR
A personal protection system including a helmet worn on the head of a user and a hood removably coupled to the helmet. The helmet may comprise a ventilation assembly, a chin bar and a control circuit. The chin bar may comprise a mounting device and a hall effect sensor mounted adjacent the mounting device. The hall effect sensor may be in communication with the control circuit. The hood may comprise a transparent face shield and a mounting element configured to removably couple with the mounting device of the helmet. The control circuit may be configured to receive a signal from said hall effect sensor indicating the coupling of said mounting element of said hood with said mounting device of said helmet.
