PROTECTIVE HELMET WITH COUPLING ELEMENTS
The invention relates to a protective helmet (2), in particular a firefighting helmet, having a helmet shell (4) and coupling arrangements (6) which are arranged on either side in a temple region (5) in each case and have first coupling elements (7) for coupling in a releasable manner in each case to an accessory (3). The first coupling elements (7) are retained on the helmet shell (4) via retaining means (9) of a connecting device (20) in a plurality of different positions one behind the other along a longitudinal axis (10) of an adjustment path. Each of the first coupling elements (7) has arranged thereon a first coupling member (11) which is arranged in a first laterally offset position in relation to the retaining means (9), which is arranged along the longitudinal axis (10) of the adjustment path. The invention also relates to safety equipment (1) comprising such a protective helmet (2) and at least one accessory (3) coupled thereto.
Headgear strap members with enhanced comfort
A strap member for use in securing a mask to the head of a patient includes a strap portion formed from a first material. The first material comprises a silicone material. The strap member further includes a breathability enhancing element associated with the strap portion.
Unidirectional flexion clip
A flexion coupling (50) for a respiratory interface (8) device is provided. The respiratory interface device includes a mask (10) and a support assembly (30) having at least one strap (40). The flexion coupling includes an elongated flexure body (52) with at least one mask coupling (54) and at least one strap coupling (56). The coupling may include a flexible softer first material (60) and an inflexible harder second material (62) in form of a plurality of elements (80) disposed within the flexure body first material web pockets (71) in an interference pattern.
Layered or mixed sorbent bed protective filtration device
A filtration device including a fluid-impermeable housing having a gas inlet and outlet, and containing within the housing first filter media particles of an extended surface area substrate and containing at least one metal impregnant, and second filter media particles of an extended surface area zirconium hydroxide substrate and containing zinc (hydr)oxide. The first or second filter media particles also contain an amine-functional material. The device may be used in atmospheres containing various harmful gases, and may provide particularly useful improvements in breakthrough times for nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia and formaldehyde compared to a device containing only the first filter media particles or only the second filter media particles.
Breathing Tube Retainer And Method Of Using Same
Various embodiments of a breathing tube retainer and a respirator that utilizes the breathing tube retainer are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the breathing tube retainer can include a mask attachment portion configured to connect the retainer to a face mask of a respirator, and a tube attachment portion including an arm that connects the tube attachment portion to the mask attachment portion. The tube attachment portion can further include a tube receiver configured to receive a breathing tube of the respirator
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTEXT AWARE NETWORKED MASK WITH DYNAMIC AIR IMPEDANCE FOR OPTIMUM BREATHABILITY
While facing polluted environments one does not need extreme breath filtering protection all the time. Methods of the art hardly focus on breathability aspect while working on smart masks. Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system and method for context aware networked mask with dynamic air impedance for optimum breathability. The system provides a smart mask that regulates the air inlet (by modulating the position/pore size of filtering membrane or by using resizable gel) as per the prevalent risk at that instance. The context aware mask with a mesh network, disclosed herein, comprises sensors and processing unit, which use contextual information and Artificial Intelligence to develop models for generating alerts along with mechanism of dynamically regulating the pore size to ensure breathability by adjusting air impedance.
QUICK-DONNING AND PREVENTIVE WEARING RESPIRATORY MASK SYSTEM FOR AIRCRAFT CREW MEMBER
A head armature for a respiratory system includes a cradle and a retention mechanism. The cradle is configured to receive a respiratory mask assembly in a stand-by position. The retention mechanism is configured to detachably connect the respiratory mask assembly with the head armature such that the respiratory mask assembly is movable from the stand-by position to a use position while connected to the head armature and such that the respiratory mask assembly is selectively detachable from the head armature in a stand-alone configuration whereby the respiratory mask assembly is disconnected from the head armature. In the use position, the respiratory mask assembly is configured to provide oxygen to a user. The head armature is configured to be worn on a head of the user such that the cradle is between the respiratory mask assembly and the user's head when the respiratory mask assembly is in the stand-by position.
Quick Fit Face Respirator Mask
A mask comprising a mask frame, a nose mount, a removable filter stand off support arm, a plurality of removable temple support arms, where each temple support arm has an attachment mechanism to easily attach or detach one or more of the temple support arms to or from the mask frame, a filter rim for attaching a filter to the interior, exterior or both the interior and exterior of the mask frame, and a plurality of removable filter clips for attaching the filter to the filter rim.
RAPIDLY DEPLOYABLE, COUGH AND SNEEZE, AEROSOL CONTAINMENT APPARATUS
A rapidly deployable, pressure sealed, cough and sneeze aerosol, containment apparatus to substantially eradicate the cold, the flu, and Covid-19.
COMBINATION FACE SHIELD AND FILTERING MASK SYSTEM
A protective face shield integrated with filtering mask and retainer band is provided. Proper fit and function of the integrated system is obtained by use of anchors on the protective shield and the retainer strap. These anchors properly position the filtering mask on the users face, maintaining proper fit around the user's face. The retainer strap maintains proper tension of the filtering mask against the users face, providing proper seal and maximizing user comfort. Unbuckling the retainer strap allows the face shield with filtering mask to be tilted up out of the way when not in use, while still mounted on the head. This integrated system provides the desired protection of face shield and filtering mask while significantly improving user comfort, reducing risk of cross-contamination from handling the filtering mask, and allowing a variety of filtering masks to be donned, doffed, and stored with the face shield.
