HYDRATION SYSTEM ADAPTED FOR USE IN CBRN ENVIRONMENTS
A hydration system maintains a ready supply of hydrating fluid within a sealed system that protects against contamination of the fluid supply and of the user in a CBRN environment. The system includes a fluid container having a removable cap that is equipped with a pressurization system that pressurizes the inside of the fluid container. Pressure inside of the fluid container drives the hydrating fluid, such as water, to an outlet in the cap and onward to a shuttle valve. In an exemplary embodiment, the shuttle valve has an inlet configured for fluid connection to the pressurized container, an outlet configured for connection to a supply line to the user's protective mask, and an intermediate port for connection to a personal hydration carrier carried by the user. The shuttle valve allows for filing of the user's individual water carrier and drinking of that fluid from the water carrier without exposing the hydrating fluid to the CBRN environment, and without requiring the user to disconnect their mask from the system.
MULTI-FUNCTION MASK
Multi-function masks are presented including: a mask body forming a chamber, where the mask body includes an inner surface, an outer surface, an edge portion, a first intake portion, a second intake portion, a third intake portion, and an exhaust outlet portion, where the first intake portion passes filtered ambient air, where the second intake portion passes filtered and vaporized air, and where the third intake portion passes any of a fluid or a pressurized gas; a flexible contact portion positioned along the edge portion of the mask body for tightly contacting the mask body to a face when worn; and a filter unit positioned along the outer surface of the mask body for providing filtered ambient air to the first and second intake portions and for filtering exhaust air from the exhaust outlet portion.
Face mask with speaker module
A face mask having speaker module with a pair of speakers, an aperture for a straw for liquid uptake, a tracking device, and illumination means. The interior side of the face mask includes a microphone that picks up the voice being transmitted by a user. The pair of speakers located on an exterior portion of the mask which will broadcast the user's voice received by the microphone. Additionally, the aperture along the front end in order to allows for easy access of a straw for drinking a beverage. The tracking device is fitted within the mask in order to locate it in the case that it is lost or stolen. Furthermore, the border of the mask is lined with LED lights which may be controlled by a software application on a mobile device.
FACE MASK WITH BATTERY OPERATED FAN AND UV BULB
Embodiments of the invention relate to a solar or battery operated cooling fan assembly attached to face mask. The fan allows venting of warm moist breath vapors, reducing heat, heat rash, reduces low energy due to CO2, circulates air, thereby cooling the user. The fan assembly also may comprise a UV light bulb, that sterilizes exhaled air as it exits the mask. The face mask includes an inner framework or structure to support the fan assembly. The face mask may also include one or more filters to allow air to enter the mask, and in some embodiments straw exit and entry ports are provided.
MAGNETIC QUICK CONNECT
A magnetic quick connect for a fluid delivery system includes a male coupling member and a female coupling member. The male coupling member defines a first outer fluid communication path and includes a first magnetic material. A first inner member is disposed within the first outer fluid communication path and defines a first inner communication path. The female coupling member defines a second outer fluid communication path and includes a second magnetic material. A second inner member is disposed within the second outer fluid communication path and defines a second inner communication path. The male and female coupling members are detachably held together by an attractive force between the first and second magnetic materials such that the first and second outer communication paths are held in fluid communication, and the first and second inner communication paths are held in fluid communication.
SCBA Assembly with Integrated APR Capability
A personal protective equipment (PPE), a component for an air purifying respirator (APR) and a method for coupling an air purifying respirator (APR) to a facepiece are provided. In one embodiment, the component includes an elongate tube having a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end being configured to be in fluid communication an air filter of the APR. The component also includes an adapter disposed at the proximal end of the elongate tube. The adapter is configured to releasably fluidly couple the APR to a facepiece and releasably fluidly couple a second stage regulator of a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) to the facepiece.
Secure liquid consumption face covering
A secure liquid consumption face covering is created for the general public that is flexible so that the user does not need to remove or open a mask when thirsty or hungry to consume liquid. Through a tube attached with connector(s) and lock(s) to the mask and with an optional disposable straw unit, the wearer can drink liquid from any vessel easily without taking the mask off or breaking the seal of the mask around the user's nose and mouth.
PORTABLE PROTECTIVE DEVICE FOR PREVENTING RESPIRATORY VIRUSES
The present disclosure relates to a portable protective device for preventing respiratory viruses, which is characterized in that a face shield can be worn in close contact with the user's face to prevent the user's eyes and respiratory organs from being exposed to the outside, whereby it is possible to prevent permeation of contaminated air by supplying purified air through an air purifier, and to enable a user to take drink, etc. while minimizing exposure to respiratory viruses because an insertion port for inserting a straw to enable the user to take drink such as coffee is provided.
Anti-microbial, disinfection chamber respiratory face mask/shield
A self-sterilizing, face mask, respirator, open or enclosed face shield employs germicidal, far UV-C light safe for direct human exposure, mitigating risk of acquisition or transmission of respiratory pathogens, such as COVID 19. Device attachments or special lenses direct far UV-C light into the respiratory chamber and/or reservoir areas of infection including nasal, oropharyngeal or ocular areas to reduce or eliminate pathogens, serving also as a treatment modality. In a preferred embodiment the face shield has a removable front section, which can be exchanged or replaced with sections that include various functional attributes while maintaining germicidal protections and avoiding need to remove PPE during these activities including consumption of liquids, oral medications or food, as well as providing antimicrobial absorbent sneeze or cough guard or rhinorrhea secretion absorption, or a communication device to address communication deficiencies caused by respiratory protection barriers.
Facemask
A facemask adapted to be positioned on a user's face may include multiple components: a lower component or nose/mouth component; and an upper component or eye shield component. The eye shield component may be configured to at least partially cover the eyes of the user, while the nose/mouth component may be configured to cover the nose and mouth of the user. The eye shield component may be removably coupled to the nose/mouth component. The nose/mouth component may be configured to filter aerosols and droplets from the air/gas inhaled and exhaled by the user. The nose/mouth component may further facilitate the consumption of food and/or beverages without requiring the facemask to be removed or pulled down/away from the user's face.
