A combined microphone and fluid-delivery apparatus includes a microphone disposed at an end of a support member, and a fluid passageway supported by the support member. A mouthpiece extends from the passageway so as to be positioned adjacent the microphone. The mouthpiece defines an outlet port that is in fluid communication with the fluid passageway.

Described herein are various embodiments of systems, devices, components and methods for providing hydration to a user from a fluid reservoir or bladder, where the fluid is provided on demand by the user activating and controlling a user interface that communicates wirelessly with a control assembly operably connected to a pump and, the fluid reservoir.

An infinitely adjustable training mask for simulating the increased breathing resistance level at higher altitudes including an air-impermeable mask body covering the nose and mouth of the wearer, an infinitely adjustable inhalation resistance assembly extended through the mask body, a replaceable particulate air filter to provide respiratory protection when the wearer inhales, and a drinking device for hydration and consumption of foods. The inhalation resistance assembly contains a stationary aperture component and a rotating dial aperture component for adjusting the sizes of the overlapping inhalation adjustment apertures to achieve the desired breathing resistance level. Upon exhalation of the wearer, the exhaled air is discharged through a flexible one-way check valve controlled exhalation channel. A replaceable particulate air filter which can be easily placed inside or removed from the internal cavity of the infinitely adjustable inhalation resistance assembly helps to reduce inhalation exposures to airborne particles during outdoor training sessions. The drinking device enables the wearer to conveniently hydrate or consume foods without taking the mask off, thus allowing maximum amount of wear time to improve training efficiency. A strap is connected to the mask body to be positioned about the head of a wearer to securely maintain the mask during training.

A mask apparatus, including a mask formed of a rigid or semi-rigid material. The mask includes a seal disposed around the perimeter of the mask. The mask apparatus includes a breathable air mechanism detachably coupled to a front surface of the mask. The mask apparatus further includes a hydration assembly to be coupled to an external hydration source and one or more couplings to position and secure the mask apparatus.

A hydration respiration apparatus includes a respirator assembly having a facemask that covers the nose and mouth of user and a pair of filter cartridges on opposed sides of the facemask. A hydration assembly includes a hydration tube extending through a front wall of the facemask and a hydration reservoir configured to hold a liquid, the reservoir being displaced from the respirator assembly and in fluid communication with the tube. The hydration tube includes a proximal end situated in the interior area of the facemask and a distal end situated outside the facemask, the tube being selectively movable between a retracted configuration substantially outside the interior area and a deployed configuration substantially inside the interior area. The proximal end of the hydration tube includes a valve configured to selectively release water into the mouth of the user when the hydration tube is at the deployed configuration.

A portable hydration system and various components are disclosed. The system utilizes a pump to transfer potable liquid (e.g. water) from a liquid container to a user during challenging activities (e.g. endurance motorcycle riding).

A hydration system including a fluid reservoir, a fluid path in communication with the reservoir, and a magnetic quick connect interposed in the fluid path is disclosed. A fluid delivery system for a hydration system is also disclosed that includes a magnetic quick connect interposed in a fluid delivery path of the delivery system. The magnetic quick connect can also be used in a wide variety of fluid delivery systems. A kit for forming a fluid delivery system for a hydration system is also disclosed, as are various components of a hydration system.

An end piece for a personal hydration system including a mechanism for storing a liquid, the end piece with a mechanism for conveying a liquid, and a selection second mechanism for configuring the end piece in a position chosen from among a closed position in which the liquid conveying mechanism are blocked, a first position in which the liquid passes through the conveying mechanism and a second position in which the conveying mechanism are connected to a docking mechanism connected to a protective mask and in which the liquid passes through the conveying mechanism and the protective mask docking mechanism.

There is provided a receptacle device for a mask, the receptacle device comprising: a valve; a body portion surrounding the valve; and an anchor portion; wherein the body portion and the anchor portion are integrally formed; and wherein the anchor portion and the body portion define a channel therebetween, and the channel is configured to releasably engage the mask. A method of manufacturing a mask assembly or retrofitting a receptacle device to a workpiece mask is also provided which comprises a mask and said receptacle device.
