BELT CLOSER AND METHOD FOR CLOSING BELTS
A method for closing modular belts and a belt closer having two clamps for clamping to a side edge of a modular flat-top conveyor belt. A ratchet strap or other pulling tool is connected between the two clamps of the belt closer. Once the clamps are clamped to unconnected end sections of a belt, the ratchet strap is used to pull the two sections together so that they can be joined by a hinge rod to form an endless belt.
SIDEWALL BONDER AND METHOD FOR BONDING SIDEWALLS TO THERMOPLASTIC BELTS
A bonder and a method for bonding corrugated sidewalls to a thermoplastic belt at a splice joint. Two heating jaw assemblies with complementary and confronting corrugated vertical faces clamp a thermoplastic belt to a base of the bonder with a corrugated sidewall section separated from the belt across a splice joint received in a corrugated slot formed between the confronting vertical faces. Corrugated bonding strips at the bottoms of the corrugated vertical faces apply heat to melt the bottom of the sidewall section on opposite sides to bond the corrugated sidewall section to the base.
BELT PULLER AND METHOD FOR PULLING BELT ENDS TOGETHER
A method for pulling a modular conveyor belt and a belt puller for performing the method. The belt puller has eyelets on one end that interleave with hinge elements on an end of a modular conveyor belt. A rod through the eyelets and the hinge elements connects the belt to the puller, which can then be used to pull the belt. Two ends of an unconnected belt can be pulled together by connecting a belt puller to each end, joining the belt pullers with a ratchet strap or other pulling tool, and tightening the strap to pull the ends together.
Stabilized attachment assembly and ratchet load binder using the same
A stabilized attachment assembly (200) and ratchet load binder (100) using the stabilized attachment assembly (200) is provided. The stabilized attachment assembly (200) includes an attachment member (230) to which a lever arm (250) is coupled. The ratchet load binder (100) includes a tubular member (110) rotatably driven by a ratchet handle assembly (120). The attachment assembly (200) is threadedly engaged in one open end (116) of the tubular member (110) and an attachment member (130) is threadedly engaged in an opposing open end (116) of tubular member (110) and both are linearly displaced towards or away from one another responsive to rotation of the tubular member (110) in a particular direction. A user holds the lever arm (250) in one hand while reciprocally operating the ratchet handle assembly (120) with another hand.
Multifunctional tool having a device for actuating a quick release chain fastener
What is described is a portable multifunctional tool having a handle portion and a tool accommodating portion having a tool function element arranged thereon configured to actuate a quick release chain fastener having two chain link plates and two chain link plate connection members. The tool function element has a first force exertion unit configured to exert a force on the first chain link plate connection member of the quick release chain fastener, and a second force exertion unit configured to exert a force on the second chain link plate connection member of the quick release chain fastener. The first force exertion unit and the second force exertion unit are translationally movable in relation to each other so as to actuate the quick release chain fastener by means of said translational movement. Moreover, the tool function element has a linear guide having a stationary first linear guide element and a second linear guide element movably arranged within the former, only one of the two force exertion units being arranged on the second linear guide element.
CHAIN CLAMP
Chain clamp and method for clamping around an elongated object and for serving as a support for separate objects. The chain clamp includes a plurality of links with a first link and a second link, and with each link having two attachment portions, a connection member connecting links, and a tensioner adapted to connect to the first and second link and to force the links towards each other to tension the chain clamp and clamp it around the elongated object. At least one link is a piece cut from an elongated extrusion and has a fixed cross-sectional profile and a longitudinal direction, wherein each of the two attachment portions of the at least one link are defined by a respective portion of the cross sectional profile and its continuation along the longitudinal direction of the at least one link.
LOAD BINDER
A handle of a load binder. The handle includes a handle gear housing having a front end opposite a rear end. An outer handle gear is rotatably coupled within the handle gear housing. At least one drill connector 16 is extending laterally from the handle gear housing and is operable to rotate the outer handle gear when driven. A handle grip protrudes from the rear end of the handle gear housing. A binder gear housing protrudes from the front end of the handle gear housing. The binder gear housing includes an outer wall and a sidewall extending inward from the outer wall. The sidewall has a U-shaped cutout. The U-shaped cutout releasably receives a binder stem of the load binder and positions the outer handle gear to interlock with a binder gear of the load binder.
Long reach ratchet binder
A ratchet binder having a main tube with internal threads at opposed open ends. The ratchet binder having a pair of semicircular threaded shafts threadably received in the opposed open ends such that when the shafts are connected by hooks to a chain and prevented from rotation, the rotation of the tube by a ratcheting mechanism causes the shafts to simultaneously move inward relative to the tube increasing tension on the opposed hooks to secure a load. A barrel divider is disposed between the shafts to keep the threads on the semicircular shafts engaged with the threads on the inside of the tube.
