RUBBER COMPOSITE, AGING-RESISTANT RUBBER PRODUCT APPLYING SAME, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD

The present invention discloses a rubber composition, a processing method thereof, and an aging resistant rubber product using the rubber composition. The rubber composition comprises a rubber matrix and essential components, wherein, based on 100 parts by weight of the rubber matrix, the rubber matrix comprises a branched polyethylene with a content represented as A, in which 0<A100 parts, and an EPM and an EPDM with a content represented as B, in which 0<B100 parts; and the essential components comprise 1.5-10 parts of a crosslinking agent, 30-200 parts of a reinforcing filler, and 5-250 parts of a plasticizer. The rubber composition provided by present invention has good processability and can be used for producing rubber products with high aging resistance and compression set resistance.

A method for estimating wear of a polymer drive belt of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) provided in a vehicle is disclosed. The method comprises: determining a first belt wear-affecting factor based on at least one first operating parameter of the vehicle; determining a second belt wear-affecting factor based on at least one second operating parameter of the vehicle; applying the first and second wear-affecting factors to a belt wear-representative parameter to obtain an adjusted belt wear-representative parameter; and adjusting a total belt wear-representative parameter based on the adjusted belt wear-representative parameter to obtain an updated total belt wear-representative parameter. A vehicle having an electronic control unit configured to perform the method is also disclosed.

Poly-V belt comprising a layer of thermoplastic material

Poly-V belts are disclosed that have a body in an elastomeric material, preferably EPDM, a plurality of durable filiform inserts longitudinally embedded in the body, and a coupling portion integrally connected to the body and comprising a plurality of V-shaped ribs in side by side arrangement alternating with V-shaped grooves. A layer of a thermoplastic material at least partially covers the ribs, and a knitted fabric is arranged over the thermoplastic material. Preferably, the thermoplastic material includes a polyolefin irradiated with a dose amount of radiation between 60 and 140 kGy.

A fluororubber composition including a fluororubber having an iodine content of 10 to 90 mol % for the total mole of the polymer end groups and a carbon black (B), wherein a difference (G), represented by G(1%)-G(100%), is not lower than 120 kPa and not higher than 3,000 kPa, where G(1%) denotes a shear modulus at a dynamic strain of 1% under an uncrosslinked state and G(100%) denotes a shear modulus at a dynamic strain of 100% under an uncrosslinked state, and G(1%) and G(100%) are determined by a dynamic viscoelasticity test with a rubber process analyzer (RPA) in a condition that the measurement frequency is 1 Hz and the measurement temperature is 100 C.

A power transmission belt includes a transparent or semitransparent sheet material covering a portion of a surface of a belt body including a mark. At least a portion of the belt body covered with the sheet material is made of a rubber composition vulcanized with sulfur. The sheet material is made of a rubber material containing a diene rubber. The sheet material is vulcanized with sulfur together with the rubber composition forming the portion of the belt body covered with the sheet material such that the sheet material is connected to the belt body.
