Mechanism for securing device
The present application generally relates to attaching a device to a conveyance structure.
SAFETY LOCKOUT ON PATHS TO REGIONS OF HEIGHTENED RISK
A safety device for a path that is traversed to enter a region in which danger to an individual is heightened due to operation of a machine includes at least one sensor installed along the path so as to detect the individual thereat, which compels the sensor to generate a signal. A lockout mechanism is deployed that compels the machine into a non-operational state in response to receiving the signal from the sensor. The lockout mechanism ensures the machine remains in the non-operational state when the signal from the sensor is removed therefrom. A reset circuit is deployed that, in response to activation thereof, compels the lockout mechanism to allow the machine into the operational state from the non-operational state.
Retaining device and method of using the same
A retaining device configured for retaining at least one medical device adjacent to a supporting surface. The retaining device includes a plate shaped holding portion defining a peripheral edge, a slot extending from the peripheral edge defining a loading channel, and communicating with an internal holding area. The internal holding area is dimensioned to accept the largest medical device the retaining device is configured to be used with. An attachment mechanism is connected to the holding portion to secure the retaining device to a supporting surface. A section of medical device may be inserted into and along the loading channel to enter the holding area and be retained within.
Rope tensioning device
A rope tensioning device for removing slack in a rope includes a plate, which has a hole positioned therethrough. A tongue engaged to and extending from the plate is can be inserted into a loop of a rope inserted through the hole so that the rope is slidably engaged to the plate. The rope has a first end secured to an object, positioning a user to extend a second end of the rope through or around an anchoring element. An L-shaped protrusion engaged to and extending from the plate defines a groove. The rope extending back from the anchoring element can be inserted into the groove. The user is positioned to knot the rope so that the rope is engaged to the plate. The plate then can be slid along the rope toward the object to tension the rope.

COUPLING DEVICE
A coupling device comprising a flexible elongate member of at least one length of an at least twice wound rope and a pin configured to be removably engaged with the flexible elongate member, wherein the flexible elongate member is formed as a loop or a part loop completing the loop with the pin, wherein at least one winding of rope is of disparate length to at least one other winding.
SPLICER THIMBLE FOR ROPE
A thimble apparatus for use with a rope has a thimble eye formed as a generally U-shaped shackle defining a center aperture therein with arms on opposing sides of the aperture. The thimble eye has an outer surface, a front face, and a rear face. A groove is formed within the front face of the shackle generally in the shape of a U and has a width. A rope seat is formed within the shackle beneath the groove proximal to the rear face and has a diameter larger than the width of the groove. The groove forms a passage to the rope seat from the front face along the length of the groove. A base connects to ends of the arms of the shackle closing the aperture. The base defines a channel formed as an open-ended groove through the base such that in use the channel permits a rope to extend from either one of adjacent sides of the base to position the thimble apparatus between first and second positions.

COLLAPSIBLE LOOP HANGER APPARATUS
A collapsible loop hanger apparatus includes a hook that has a hook portion and a stem portion. A sleeve receives the stem portion of the hook at a first end and receives a pair of ends of a cable at a second end opposite the first end, the cable forming a loop. A bead is configured to receive a double portion of the cable to allow adjustment of a size of the loop.
ROPE HAVING AN END CONNECTOR SEGMENT COMPRISING TWO ROPE-BRANCHES FOR MAKING NOOSED CONNECTIONS
A rope (1) according to the invention comprises a main rope segment (4), a branching position (5) and an end connector segment (6), wherein the end connector segment comprises a first rope-branch (11) and a second rope-branch (12). The first rope-branch (11) comprises a noosed first rope-branch portion (21N) for making a noosed connection with a thickened rope portion, or a thickened first rope-branch portion for making a noosed connection with a noosed rope portion. The second rope-branch (12) comprises a noosed second rope-branch portion for making a noosed connection with a thickened rope portion, or a thickened second rope-branch portion (22T) for making a noosed connection with a noosed rope portion. The rope according to the invention allows for many various favourable manners of connecting the rope to other ropes and/or to other types of external objects.
