A planar continuous elongated ring configured to engage a filtration textile to a nose-mouth perimeter of a user, said continuous elongated ring including an upper curvilinear portion adapted to engage said filtration textile disposed about a nasal periphery of the user; said upper curvilinear portion including a pair of attachment features adapted to fastenly receive an upper support strap configured to engage the user's head, and a lower curvilinear portion adapted to engage said filtration textile disposed about a mouth periphery of the user, the lower curvilinear portion including a pair of attachment features adapted to fastenly receive a lower support strap configured to engage the user's head. Another embodiment of the present invention includes a kit comprising at least one planar continuous elongated ring and other related items.

A pair of protective eyewear for securing a medical face mask on a face of a patient to prevent migration of the medical face mask about the face of the patient during a medical or surgical procedure. The protective eyewear may include a main body having a nosepiece and a pair of eye portions secured in the main body. The nosepiece may include a fastener defining a mask-receiving space for releasable receipt of a ridge of a medical face mask. The eyewear may additionally include one or more straps or other head securing structure, extending from the main body, to secure the eyewear to a head of the patient. Further, there is provided a system protecting eyes of a patient during a medical or surgical procedure and a method of securing a face mask to a face of a patient to prevent migration of the medical face mask about the face of the patient during the medical or surgical procedure.

The present invention includes a mask body having a cord attached at three locations on the mask body and a deformable bridge piece. The cord is attached at the middle of an upper edge of the mask body generally aligning with the location of the bridge of the wearer's nose. The cord is further attached at each of two lower positions on the mask body, preferably near or at the bottom corners of the mask body. The cord is further threaded through eyelets located at each of two upper positions on the mask body, preferably near or at the upper corners of the mask body. The deformable bridge piece is located along the upper edge of the mask body, and generally centered on the bridge of the wearer's nose.

A selectively scent infusible face masking assembly for filtering and scenting air includes a facemask, a pocket panel, and a plurality of pads. The facemask is selectively positionable over a nose and mouth of a user so that the facemask is removably engaged to a head of the user. The facemask filters particulates from air passing through the facemask. The pocket panel has opposing edges and a bottom edge that are engaged to the facemask to define a pouch. Each pad is infused with a respective aroma compound so that the plurality of pads comprises pads that are infused with a variety of aroma compounds. The pads are sized complementarily to the pouch. A respective pad is selectively insertable into the pouch so that the respective pad releases an associated aroma compound into the air passing through the facemask.

An article of manufacture for providing a mask fixer to prevent air leakage at the edges is disclosed. The mask fixer includes a face piece and one or more components coupled to the face piece. The face piece includes a central aperture, an exterior surface, and an interior surface. Features, such as a nasal reinforcer, a flange, and/or a sealing loop, may be added to different parts of the face piece to form different embodiments of the mask fixer for different applications. In some embodiments, the mask fixer is used by releasably wearing it outside or inside a surgical or cloth mask to reduce air leakage at the edges. In other embodiments, the mask fixer includes a flange around the central aperture of the face piece. A surgical mask, a cloth mask or a filter is wrapped and fixed around this flange using a band or a snapping mechanism. As such, the mask fixer is integrated with a filter or a surgical or cloth mask to form a new face mask. This new face mask would diminish air leakage at its edges. In all embodiments, the mask fixer is reusable after it is cleaned and sterilized.

A face mask assembly includes a face mask is comprised of a particulate filtering material to filter air being breathed by a user. The face mask has a mouth opening extending through the face mask to expose the user's mouth when the face mask is worn to facilitate eating and drinking. A flap is movably coupled to the face mask and the flap is positionable in a closed position having the flap covering the mouth opening to filter air breathed by the user. The flap is positionable in an open position to facilitate the user to eat or drink. A first mating member is coupled to flap and a second mating member is coupled to the face mask. The first mating member is releasably mated to the first mating member when the flap is in the closed position for retaining the flap in the closed position.

A fold flat personal respiratory device comprising: a generally planar central panel (10) including a layer of filter media and having opposing first and second side edges (12a, 12b) and first and second end edges (11); a first side panel joined to said central panel (10) along said first side edge (12a); a second side panel joined to said central panel (10) along said second side edge (12b); the device being manually configurable from a folded configuration in which said side panels (12a, 12b) are substantially parallel to a planar surface of said central panel (10) and an operational configuration in which said central (10) and first and second side panels (12a, 12b) form a cup-shaped respiratory chamber; the device further comprising a rigid or semi-rigid endoskeleton member (36) mounted along a planar surface of said central panel (10) and extending between said first and second side edges (12a, 12b) and/or said first and second end edges (11).

A dust hood is provided having a front face of an inelastic material and a rear face of the inelastic material. The front face has a first opening configured to correspond to a location of a user's eye protection when worn by the user. The front face also has a primary breathing opening configured to correspond to a respirator hose or respirator air intake location when worn by a user. The dust hood openings each comprise a gasket for sealing the corresponding openings against corresponding accessories. Accordingly, the first opening gasket seals the hood against a user's eye protection and the second opening gasket seals the primary breathing opening against a user's respirator hose or respirator air intake.

A respiratory protection mask includes detachably connected main body and front cover. The main body includes a shielding member for shielding a wearer's mouth and nose, and has air outlet with air-outlet valve and air inlets with air-inlet valves. The mask is characterized in a guide structure and a limiting structure provided between the main body and the front cover. The guide structure includes corresponding slide rail and slide channel capable of guiding the front cover to move along a linear path parallel to a longitudinal section of the air outlet to assemble to the main body and cover the air-outlet valve. The limiting structure includes corresponding male and female fasteners that are detachably engaged with each other when the front cover is assembled to the main body, preventing the front cover from moving in an opposite direction on the linear path to separate from the main body.

Provided are a sub-micron fibrous membrane in which sub-micron fibers aligned along one axis and sub-micron fibers in a random pattern form a network, and a method for producing the sub-micron fibrous membrane.
