Chain component and chain

A chain component which has a simple surface treatment structure and in which satisfactory wear resistance is maintained for a long term; and a chain which employs this chain component so that a satisfactory wear elongation resistance is maintained are provided. A roller chain serving as an industrial chain for power transmission is constructed such that a pair of outer plates linked by two pins and a pair of inner plates linked together by two bushes onto each of which a roller is fit are alternately linked together in a plurality in a state that each pin is loosely fit in each bush. A chromium nitride layer is formed on the outer side of the steel-based substrate of the pin. The chromium nitride layer contains iron at a content higher than 0 mass % and lower than or equal to 55 mass %.

Material processing apparatus with auxiliary drive system

A material processing apparatus comprising a rotary operating device coupled to a material processing device, especially a crusher. A primary drive system is coupled to the rotary operating device. An auxiliary drive system has a rotary drive member and is operable between a driving state, in which it is coupled to the rotary operating device, and a non-driving state in which it does not rotate the rotary operating device. The apparatus is operable in a primary mode in which the primary drive system rotates the rotary operating device and the auxiliary drive system is in its non-driving state, or in an auxiliary mode in which the auxiliary drive system is in its driving state. In the auxiliary mode, the auxiliary drive system may be operated to repeatedly rotate the rotary operating device alternately in both rotational directions to impart a back-and-forth rocking motion to the material processing device.

A link unit includes two first chain plates and an assembling pin. Each of the first chain plates has a first inner end section, a first outer end section misaligned from the first inner end section, and opposite inner and outer side surfaces. The first outer end section of each of the first chain plates is formed with a connecting hole that has a first hole portion, a second hole portion, and a neck portion located between the first and second hole portions. The assembling pin is inserted through the connecting hole of each of the first chain plates, and is prevented from moving past the neck portions of the first chain plates so as to be positioned in the second hole portions of the first chain plates.

CHAIN CLOSING LINK

A chain-closing link for a bicycle chain including two closing parts. Each of the closing parts includes a closing plate having a retaining opening and a displacement region. Each of the closing parts also includes a chain pin. The closing plate includes a recess and/or a hole having a securing region.

A link unit includes two outer chain plates and an assembling pin. Each of the outer chain plates has a first end section, and a second end section spaced apart from the first end section. The first end section of each of the outer chain plates has a through hole. The second end section of each of the outer chain plates has a connecting hole that has a first hole portion, a second hole portion, and a neck portion located between the first and second hole portions. The assembling pin is inserted removably through the connecting hole of each of the outer chain plates, and is capable of being prevented from moving past the neck portion of each of the outer chain plates so as to be positioned in the second hole portion of each of the outer chain plates.

A chain made up of bush link plates, bushes fitted into bush fitting holes, and rollers fitted rotatably on an outer circumference of each of the bush. In order to make it possible to replace the roller without removing the bush from the bush link plates, in the chain made up of the bush link plates provided with bush fitting holes, the bushes fitted into the bush fitting holes, and the rollers fitted rotatably on the outer circumference of each of the bushes, the roller is formed from split rollers made by splitting the roller into two or more parts.

Retaining clamp for molded plastics

Retaining clamps for retaining an over-molded plastic component to a substrate are disclosed herein that include a generally annular band having an inner surface, which defines an inner cavity for receiving a substrate rotatable about a central axis, and an opposing outer surface, which receives an over molded plastic component. The clamps have a plurality of axially extending retaining features formed in the annular band. The retaining features define a trough in the inner surface and a first crest in the outer surface or define a coupling portion forming a second crest. The retaining features are evenly spaced a distance apart along the generally annular band. A pulley body assembly is disclosed having a retaining clamp seated about an outer ring of a bearing for retaining a pulley body over-molded thereto. A method for over-molding a plastic component to a substrate using the retaining clamp is also disclosed herein.

CHAIN

A chain includes two inner link plates, cylindrical bushings, each of which has opposite ends joined to the inner link plates, pins each inserted into a bushing, solid lubricant provided between the bushings and the pins, and two outer link plates that sandwich the inner link plates from outside. The ends of the pins extend through the outer link plates. The chain further includes projections, which maintain the distances between the outer surfaces of the inner link plates and the inner surfaces of the outer link plates, and absorbent members, which are arranged between the outer surfaces of the inner link plates and the inner surfaces of the outer link plates. The absorbent members confine the solid lubricant and are capable of absorbing liquid.
