CVT CONES THAT USE COMMERCIALLY AVAILABLE TRANSMISSION BELTS
A “Cone with One Torque Transmitting Member and One Non-Torque Transmitting Member” for CVT's that can be used with a commercially available Transmission Belt, which is Transmission Belt for which the teeth of said Transmission Belt are shaped below the belt of said Transmission Belt. In order to provide a Level Resting Place for its Transmission Belt on the conical (sloped) surfaces of its Cone, which are surfaces that are not covered by its Torque Transmitting Member or its Non-Torque Transmitting Member, its Torque Transmitting Member and its Non-Torque Transmitting Member each have a Leveling Extension. The Leveling Extension of its Torque Transmitting Member can enter and exit its Non-Torque Transmitting Member as required; and the Leveling Extension of its Non-Torque Transmitting Member can enter and exit its Torque Transmitting Member as required.
MONITORING SYSTEM FOR OPERATING AN ENERGY CHAIN
The invention relates to a monitoring system for an energy chain guiding at least one line between two connection points and comprising chain sections that are positionally variable relative to one another. The monitoring system comprises at least one strain relief device having a line holder coupled to the line; a carrier part on at least one of the connection points fixing the strain relief device in a stationary manner, by means of which the at least one line is fixed at the end side in a strain-relieving manner; and at least one measuring device which is arranged and configured to measure forces exerted on the fixed line during operation of the energy chain and/or which are transmitted by the at least one line in the direction towards the carrier part.

HARD MATERIAL LAYER ON METAL SUBSTRATE
A chain component of a chain for transmitting a force includes a steel-based substrate and a hard material layer on an external side of the steel-based substrate. The hard material layer contains metal nitrides and the metal carbide content in the hard material layer decreases toward the external side of the hard material layer.

SAFETY OVERLOAD LINK
The invention relates to a safety link for use in lifting, winching, towing or securing apparatus or similar. The safety link including, a first connection point, a second connection point, and an indicator means positioned substantially between and associated with the first connection point and the second connection point. If an overload force is applied, the forces between the first connection point and the second connection point cause a change in the indicator means, whereby the change indicates the overload to the user so safety checks may be conducted. The invention also relates to a method of use.

CHAIN LOCK AND CHAIN FOR A CHAIN LOCK
A chain lock comprises a lock body and a chain lockable to the lock body. This chain comprises a serial arrangement of consecutive links coupled to one another via a respective articulated joint and pivotable relative to one another about a joint axis, which is parallel to a normal direction, of the respective articulated joint. The arrangement is foldable into a compact storage configuration in which, at each of the articulated joints, the links coupled to one another via the respective articulated joint are pivoted relative to one another about the joint axis of the respective articulated joint such that they enclose the smallest possible angle of their relative pivotability. A pulling device extends along said arrangement, by way of which a first end of the arrangement and a second end of the arrangement opposite thereto are pullable toward one another to bring the arrangement into the compact storage configuration.

Track pin communication system and method
A method for detecting status information about a track pin of a track chain for heavy equipment includes disposing a track pin sensor within a void of the track pin; sensing with the track pin sensor a temperature characteristic of the track pin; determining status information based on the temperature characteristic; and wirelessly communicating the status information to a remote device. A method for detecting status information about a mechanical system that generates heat energy includes generating electrical energy based on the heat energy; providing the electrical energy to a control unit; sensing with the control unit a temperature characteristic of the mechanical system based on a voltage of the electrical energy; determining status information of the mechanical system based on the temperature characteristic; and wirelessly communicating the status information to a remote device.
