Drive arrangement for a bicycle
A drive arrangement for a bicycle may be provided with various interactive components configured to reliably and repeatably engage and disengage with one another both when new and after a period of wear. The drive arrangement may include a drive sprocket assembly connected to a driven sprocket assembly with a chain movable by a gear changer.

A piece of chain for use in a metal-constructed chain is composed of pieces of chain made up of lengthwise parallel side plates and connectible successively to each other by link pins at pivot points included in linking portions present at what are the opposite ends in its longitudinal direction. The chain is operated by a drive assembly whereby in association with a bearing surface, present in a midsection of the chain-constructing piece of chain, is provided a notch substantially transverse relative to the chain traveling direction and including a recess comprising a leading edge and a trailing edge, and being, when the chain is being driven, in cooperation with substantially transverse mating surfaces included in the sprocket consistently with the successive notches of the chain. The piece of chain includes a back or edge member connecting its opposite side plates, and a supplementary arrangement coupled in connection therewith.

Chain with endless braided chain-link
A chain is provided which includes a plurality of interconnected chain-links. At least one chain-link of the chain has a braided core which includes a first primary strand having polymeric elongated elements having a tenacity of at least 1.0 N/tex. The braided core is braided from at least 2 consecutive turns of the primary strand. Also disclosed is a braided endless shaped element suitable as chain-link for the chain as well as a chain which has a tenacity (Ten) in N/Tex and a combined titer of the 2 legs of the chain-link having polymeric elongated elements (T) in MTex satisfying the relationship of Ten≥0.50*T−0.05.

A chain is provided which includes a plurality of interconnected chain-links. At least one chain-link of the chain has a braided core which includes a first primary strand having polymeric elongated elements having a tenacity of at least 1.0 N/tex. The braided core is braided from at least 2 consecutive turns of the primary strand. Also disclosed is a braided endless shaped element suitable as chain-link for the chain as well as a chain which has a tenacity (Ten) in N/Tex and a combined titer of the 2 legs of the chain-link having polymeric elongated elements (T) in MTex satisfying the relationship of Ten≥0.50*T−0.05.

A chain link having a strip which includes warp yarns and weft yarns is provided, with the warp yarns containing a warp yarn A and a warp yarn B, with the minimum creep rate of warp yarn B being higher than the minimum creep rate of warp yarn A, wherein the strip comprises a longitudinal core section and at least two longitudinal edge sections, and wherein the concentration of warp yarn A in the core section is higher than the concentration of yarn A in the edge sections of the strip and the concentration of warp yarn B in the edge sections is higher than the concentration of warp yarn B in the core section of the strip. The invention also relates to a chain comprising said chain link and to use of said chain in different applications.
