Hybrid chain link
A chain link having a strip which includes warp yarns and weft yarns is provided, with the warp yarns containing a warp yarn A and a warp yarn B, with the minimum creep rate of warp yarn B being higher than the minimum creep rate of warp yarn A, wherein the strip comprises a longitudinal core section and at least two longitudinal edge sections, and wherein the concentration of warp yarn A in the core section is higher than the concentration of yarn A in the edge sections of the strip and the concentration of warp yarn B in the edge sections is higher than the concentration of warp yarn B in the core section of the strip. The invention also relates to a chain comprising said chain link and to use of said chain in different applications.
ENDLESS SHAPED ARTICLE
Endless shaped articles include at least one strip of material forming a plurality of convolutions of the strip of material, the strip having a longitudinal axis, wherein each convolution of the strip comprises a twist along the longitudinal axis thereof, wherein the twist is an odd multiple of 180 degrees. Methods to manufacture the article, and its use as sling, loop, belt or chain link are also disclosed.
Chain unit sealed and lubricated with magnetic fluid and chain having same
A chain unit lubricated and sealed with magnetic fluid includes a pin shaft, a magnetic sleeve, a first pole piece and a second pole piece. The sleeve is fitted over an outer periphery of the pin shaft. Both ends of the pin shaft protrude from the sleeve. A first gap exists between an inner peripheral surface of the sleeve and an outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft. The first pole piece is arranged at one of the sleeve and has a first mating hole. A second gap exists between an inner wall surface of the first mating hole and the outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft. The second pole piece is arranged at the other end of the sleeve and has a second mating hole. A third gap exists between an inner wall surface of the second mating hole and the outer peripheral surface of the pin shaft.

PIPE CHAIN SYSTEM
A pipe chain system has a chain that is made of a plurality of chain links. Each chain link has a body. The body has a male end and a female end such that the male end matingly engages with the female end of an adjacent chain link. The body has an arcuate underside. The arcuate underside corresponds to a portion of a pipe diameter to which the chain is attached. A pin connection is provided for mating each mating engagement of the male end and the female end of the adjacent chain links such that the chain links are hingedly connected to each other.

ENERGY CHAIN COMPRISING ROLLERS
An energy chain comprising rollers on a number of chain links of the upper strand and/or of the lower strand. The rollers project, at least to a slight extent, beyond narrow sides of the lateral plates in the direction of the respectively opposite strand, in order to allow for rolling action when the energy chain is displaced. The invention provides for the rollers to comprise a wheel body made of plastic and having a hub, a rim and a radial region, which connects the hub and rim. The material thickness of the radial region is reduced in comparison with the rim such that radial impacts during the course of the rolling action can be damped by elastic deformability of the radial region of the roller itself. This significantly reduces the development of noise and vibration caused by rollers located opposite one another coming into contact with one another. The invention also proposes a roller subassembly and/or a chain link made up of two opposite lateral plates with corresponding rollers and, as a further aspect, a special way of fastening the rollers on successive lateral plates.
PLATE LINK CHAIN HAVING A SECURING ELEMENT FORMING A PROTRUDING NOSE AS A CONTACT POINT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A PLATE LINK CHAIN
A plate link chain for a continuously variable transmission having cone pulleys includes a plurality of plates arranged transverse to a wrap-around direction of the plate link chain, a rocker pin and a securing element. The rocker pin extends transverse to the wrap-around direction, connects the plurality of plates to one another, and is arranged to absorb a force applied by the cone pulleys. The securing element is welded onto the rocker pin, forms a stop for a one of the plurality of plates transverse to the wrap-around direction, and has a nose protruding transverse to the wrap-around direction. The nose defines a contact point between the securing element and the one of the plurality of plates.
