A transmission for a motor vehicle includes an electric motor and a flexible traction drive mechanism which includes a first traction mechanism wheel, such as, a gear or pulley, which is rotationally fixed to a rotor shaft of the electric motor, a second traction mechanism wheel which can be rotationally fixed to a transmission component and which is drivingly connected to the first traction mechanism wheel by a traction mechanism, such as, a belt or chain, and a bearing journal for supporting the first traction mechanism wheel. An oil line extends through the bearing journal, and oil can be fed to the electric motor via the oil line.

BELT DRIVE SYSTEM FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE

A belt drive system for rotatably coupling an internal combustion engine to an electric machine is described. The belt drive system includes a serpentine belt and a hydraulic strut tensioner, wherein the hydraulic strut tensioner is disposed to exert a tension force on the serpentine belt. A controller is operatively connected to the electric machine and includes an instruction set that is executable to periodically induce a reduction in torque output of the electric machine.

A coaxial shaft system includes an inner shaft and an outer shaft. The inner shaft includes a first plurality of magnets. An outer shaft is located coaxially around at least a portion of the inner shaft. The outer shaft includes a second plurality of magnets. The second plurality of magnets faces towards the first plurality of magnets. A support system supports the inner shaft and the outer shaft so that the inner shaft does not come into physical contact with the outer shaft. A number and location of the first plurality of magnets and the second plurality of magnets are configured so that for every magnet in the first plurality of magnets there is a corresponding magnet in the second plurality of magnets that together form a closely proximate magnetically attractive pair that have opposite poles in close proximity.

MULTI-DRIVE CRUSHER

A backside idler pulley includes a first member forming a first side wall of a circumferential groove of the backside idler pulley and a second member, formed separately from the first member, and forming a second side wall, opposite the first side wall, of the circumferential groove of the backside idler pulley. The first member and the second member form first and second floor supports, respectively. The backside idler pulley further includes a continuous layer between the first side wall and the second side wall, the continuous layer being supported by the first and second floor supports while forming a floor of the groove.

V-ribbed belt and use thereof

A V-ribbed belt has a plurality of V-rib portions extending along a longitudinal direction of the belt and in parallel with one another. The V-ribbed belt includes a compression rubber layer including a frictional power transmission face at least a part of which is configured to come in contact with a V-rib groove portion of pulleys. The frictional power transmission face of the compression rubber layer is formed from a vulcanizate of a rubber composition containing a rubber component and a noise suppression improver. A V-rib angle of the V-rib portions is larger than a V-rib groove angle of the pulleys by 5° to 9°.
