Safety harness assembly
09855450 · 2018-01-02 ·

A safety harness assembly includes a jump suit that may be worn. The jump suit has an inner layer and an outer layer. A mesh is coupled to the jump and objects may be coupled to the mesh. A harness is coupled to the jump suit. Thus, the harness is worn when the jump suit is worn thereby facilitating the harness to be coupled around a user. The harness is positioned between the inner layer and the outer layer. A rope is coupled to the harness. The rope may be coupled to a stanchion thereby facilitating the harness to inhibit the user from falling off of a support on the stanchion.

Safety harness (100) having an upper portion (6) for surrounding a torso of a wearer and a lower portion (8) configured to clutch calves of the wearer. The harness includes left and right guide straps (26) which extent from the upper portion (6) to the lower portion (8) and which each accommodate a tension member (54) which may be a steel cable which is slideable within a wear preventing sheath. The lower portion (8) includes clutching means (12) which have calf straps (38). A lower portion of each tension member (54) is laced between spaced ends of the one or more calf straps (38) in such a manner that tensioning of the tension member (54) causes one or more of the calf straps (38) to clutch a calf of the wearer. An upper portion of the tension member (54) is connected to or constitutes a lanyard (60) for connection to a restraint. The harness (100) may include a pair of overalls (102) or a pair of trousers.

Protective garments and methods of making

Protective garments having first and second elastic straps and methods of manufacturing the same are described herein. The first strap may be positioned partially or entirely along a first strap line that extends from a left shoulder region to a right leg. The second strap may be positioned partially or entirely along a second strap line that extends from a right shoulder region to a left leg. The first and second strap lines intersect at an intersection.

Harness adjustment device

A harness adjustment device for adjusting a length of webbing includes a toothed rotational member including a spool structured to receive the webbing and an end portion including teeth disposed at an end of the spool, the toothed rotational member being structured to rotate to draw in or let out the webbing, and an engagement mechanism having an engagement portion. The engagement portion is structured to move between a first position in which the engagement portion abuts against the toothed rotational member between at least two of the teeth and prevents rotation of the toothed rotational member, and a second position in which the engagement portion is separated from the toothed rotational member and allows rotation of the toothed rotational member.

An improved firefighter SCBA harness is provided. The harness has a backplate for supporting an air cylinder. A waist belt extends from the backplate to secure the backplate to a waist of a firefighter wearing the SCBA harness. Shoulder straps extend from a top of the backplate connecting to the waist belt. A seat harness extends from a bottom of the backplate to a front of the waist belt for positioning through the legs of a firefighter. A bailout cable spool is provided on the waist belt for extending a cable from the harness to enable the firefighter to perform a bailout, used in a retrieval or as a fall restraint. A battery powered winch may also be integrated in the harness.

Safety harness with removable rigid dorsal force-transfer member

A safety harness including first and second shoulder straps and a waist strap and a rigid dorsal force-transfer member with an upper end that is removably connected to the first and second shoulder straps at a dorsal crossing point of the first and second shoulder straps and with a lower end that is removably connected to a dorsal portion of the waist strap. Methods of removably equipping a safety harness with a rigid dorsal force-transfer member, and of removing a rigid dorsal force-transfer member from a safety harness.

SAFETY HARNESS

A safety harness for protecting a user against falls, includes a hip strap, leg loops, shoulder straps, and a sternal fall arrest eyelet and/or dorsal fall arrest eyelet. The safety harness has a guide extending at least partially along the hip strap, on or in which guide a retaining plate is displaceably mounted via a bearing device, and the retaining plate has connection means (a connector) for releasably connecting a remote control.

FALL PROTECTION SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A fall protection system and a method includes a housing having a cavity and engagement features, and a rotating device disposed within the cavity that rotates about an axis of the housing. A resilient assembly is coupled with the rotating device and includes a spring device and an extension member that can move between a first position and a second position. A locking component is coupled with the rotating device and the resilient assembly and moves between an unlocked state and one of a first locked state or a second locked state. The locking component moves to the first locked state based on a rotational speed of the rotating device, or to the second locked state based on the extension member moving between the first and second positions responsive to the resilient assembly receiving a control signal.

SAFETY HARNESS SYSTEMS AND METHODS

A system and a method include a safety harness system having straps operably coupled with an object, and sensors operably coupled with the straps. The sensors detect movement of the object and transmit data associated with the movement of the object to one or more processors. The processors determine that an amount of movement of the object exceeds a movement threshold, and transmit a signal responsive to the one or more processors determining that the amount of movement of the object exceeds the movement threshold.

Web harness waist pad belts

A web harness belt includes multiple layers. A first elastomer layer portion and a second elastomer portion each connected to a ballistic material layer of the multiple layers. The first elastomer layer portion and the second elastomer layer portion each including multiple belt configuration slots.
