HARNESS ADJUSTMENT DEVICE
A harness adjustment device for adjusting a length of webbing includes a toothed rotational member including a spool structured to receive the webbing and an end portion including teeth disposed at an end of the spool, the toothed rotational member being structured to rotate to draw in or let out the webbing, and an engagement mechanism having an engagement portion. The engagement portion is structured to move between a first position in which the engagement portion abuts against the toothed rotational member between at least two of the teeth and prevents rotation of the toothed rotational member, and a second position in which the engagement portion is separated from the toothed rotational member and allows rotation of the toothed rotational member.
WEB HARNESS WAIST PAD BELTS
A web harness belt includes multiple layers. A first elastomer layer portion and a second elastomer portion each connected to a ballistic material layer of the multiple layers. The first elastomer layer portion and the second elastomer layer portion each including multiple belt configuration slots.
Suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness
A preferred embodiment suspension trauma relief strap assembly for use with a full body harness includes a pair of straps connectable in two configurations. The first configuration is formed by engaging a hook of one strap with one of a plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form a sling upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand. The second configuration is formed by engaging the hook of the one strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the one strap and engaging the hook of the other strap with one of the plurality of closed loop arrangements of the other strap to form two slings upon which a person donning the full body harness may stand.
COLLAR FOR SAFETY HARNESS FOR THE PROTECTION OF PERSONNEL WORKING AT HEIGHTS, IN CASE OF FALLS
A safety harness collar for the protection of personnel working at heights, in the event of falls, consisting of a substantially curved body made up of a plurality of layers of various synthetic or organic materials rolled or inlaid, housed in a containment cover that offers a certain hardness and at the same time a certain flexibility and cushioning which includes at least two fixing means to fix on the straps of a harness that pass through the shoulders of a user and intersect in the front and rear area of the user, to hold on and be arranged around the nape of the neck and sides of the neck to offer support and limit the abrupt movement of the neck towards the back of the user to avoid damage to the cervical vertebrae and even the death of the user in the event of a fall.
Safety harness with a locking part for positively immobilising fastening buckles of a strap closure and adjustment system
A safety harness comprises at least one strap, at least one attachment member for connecting the safety harness and a system for closing and adjusting the strap provided with a stationary fastening buckle secured to a first strand of the strap and a movable fastening buckle secured in such a way as to be adjustable along a second strand of the strap. The movable fastening buckle can cooperate with the stationary fastening buckle in an interlocking configuration in which the strap is closed on itself so as to form a closed loop having a perimeter that can be adjusted by adjusting the position occupied by the movable fastening buckle along the second stand. The safety harness comprises a locking part separate from the stationary and movable fastening buckles, secured to the first strand or the second strand of the strap and capable of varying between an active state urging the two, stationary and movable, fastening buckles relative to each other so as to positively immobilise the stationary and movable fastening buckles in the interlocking configuration, and an inactive state in which the two, stationary and movable, fastening buckles can freely adopt and come out of the interlocking configuration.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR PROVIDING FALL PROTECTION SYSTEMS
Methods and apparatuses related to harnesses are provided. An example harness may include: a first leg strap comprising a first elongated member, a lower strap comprising a second elongated member, and an upper strap comprising a third elongated member.
Electrical safety emergency response systems and related methods
An electrical safety system and method is provided which includes a flexible electrical safety vest, a lifeline coupled with the vest in various configurations, and leg straps. The electrical safety vest includes a number of loops which are used to couple the lifeline in a variety of relationships that enable different types of maneuvering of a worker with relation to a hazard. Various embodiments of the invention can be used to rapidly and safety remove a worker from proximity to an immediate threat to their life, health, or safety. Direct and indirect extraction from a danger are enabled. A variety of methods are also provided for operating various embodiments of the invention.
Body harness system
A body harness system includes a body harness having a first portion for providing resting position to a user. The body harness includes a plurality of belts with offset buckles connected to the body of the first portion, for supporting body of the user. A first pair of shoulder straps are connected at a first end and an undercarriage support is connected at a second end of the first portion. An abdominal support is connected to the undercarriage support via abdominal support connection straps. The undercarriage support runs from the second end of the first portion to the abdominal support, for supporting the user's groin area. The body harness system includes an elastic cord support system connected to one or more attachment rings, for controlling at least one of initial bodyweight offset, amount of bodyweight resistance, and maximum allowable downward stop for each user.
FORCE DAMPING SYSTEM INCLUDING A FORCE DAMPER, A TEAR-AWAY LANYARD, AND A FORCE ABSORBING HARNESS
A force damping system progressively arrests a force imparted by an object generally includes a force damper member, a tear-away lanyard, and a force absorbing harness. The force damper member includes a compression member and a sacrificially elongatable member. The compression member is elastically deformable and compressible when the force is imparted, and the sacrificially elongatable member is plastically deformable and elongatable when the force is imparted. The tear-away lanyard includes a first terminal end and a second terminal end and at least a pair of sacrificial tear-away regions disposed between the first and second terminal ends. The force absorbing harness includes a harness connection member capable of connecting at least one of the first terminal or second terminal end of the tear-away lanyard, the harness connection member includes a sacrificial member that is plastically deformable when the force is imparted.
Fall detection alert/alarm device and method
