SMART SAFETY APPARATUS, SYSTEM AND METHOD
The disclosed device, system, and method may comprise one or more devices for digital personal protective equipment. These devices may be network enabled wearables. A plurality of sensors, data transmission mechanisms, self-illuminating LEDs, and communication mechanisms may be embedded in a suspension or harness in various embodiments. A number of sensors may likewise be provided in a glove or earbud (ear plug). The device may measure various aspects of a wearer's movement and transmit that data over a data connection (such as a wifi or mobile connection) to a server. The server may house project and human resources data, worker and condition information, and materials and supplies data, according to various examples of embodiments. The system may further comprise one or more applications which may interpret the data provided.
Safety Garment System
A safety garment system including a garment having an interior side, an exterior side, a harness, a first handle, and a second handle. The harness is configured on the interior side of the garment. The first handle and the second handle are configured on the exterior side and are positioned on opposing sides at a shoulder portion of the garment. The garment can be used to safely drag a wearer to safety in an emergency using the harness, the first handle, and the second handle.
Articulated Harness Connection Arrangement with Integrated Retractable Attachment Element
A connection arrangement for use with a wearable body harness includes a first connector having a first body component, a second body component, and an attachment element connected to each other by a rod having a longitudinal axis. The connection arrangement further includes a second connector removably connectable to the first connector. Each of the first body component, the second body component, and the attachment element are independently movable relative to each other about the longitudinal axis of the rod. The first connector and the second connector are removably connectable to each other via a locking and release mechanism between a first, locked configuration, where the first connector and the second connector are connected to each other, and a second, unlocked configuration, where the first connector and the second connector are disconnected from each other.
Safety Harness Assembly
A safety harness assembly includes an upper cradle and a lower cradle. Each of the upper and lower cradles has a front side, a rear side, a top edge, a bottom edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The upper cradle is positioned above the lower cradle such that the bottom edge of the upper cradle is positioned adjacent to the top edge of the lower cradle. The upper cradle is positionable against a lower back of a person and the lower cradle is positionable against upper legs of a person. A plurality of bridge connectors is attached to the upper and lower cradles and engage a bridge rope. An adjustment member is attached to and extends between the upper and lower cradles. The adjustment member has an adjustable length to selectively alter a distance between the upper and lower cradles.
SAFETY HARNESS BRIDGE ROPE ENGAGEMENT SYSTEM
A safety harness bridge rope engagement system includes a harness and a pair of bridge connectors attached to the harness. The bridge connectors are configured to engage a bridge rope. Each of the bridge connectors has a plurality of channels therein. One of the channels is selected to receive a bridge rope to retain the bridge rope at the selected location to adjust the point of pressure between the harness and user of the harness.
SUSPENSION TRAUMA RELIEF SYSTEM
A suspension trauma relief system for use with (and configured to connect to) a body harness and including, but not limited to, a double/dual poucheach of which is attached to a strap assembly, where at least one of the straps (and preferably both straps) have an adjustment mechanism attached thereto, which can be positioned adjacent to a user and harness worn and adjusted by a user when in use.
Shoulder Harness
A harness includes a shoulder support having a back member, a shoulder strip, an underarm strip, and a chest strip. The underarm strip and the chest strip connect to an underarm connection. A tether connects to the underarm connection at a tether first end. At a tether second end, a tool connection is configured to connect to a tool and a support connection is configured to connect to a user.
Smart fall arrest system
A smart fall arrest system (30) is provided and includes a fall arrest device (32) and an intelligent module (34) fixed to the fall arrest device (32). The intelligent module includes a range finder (42), a user alert device (44), a processor (46) and an accelerometer module (50). The processor (46) is configured to determine a vertical clearance distance underlying a worksite based on signals from the range finder (42) and the accelerometer module (50), the processor determines if the fall arrest device (32) is appropriate and if the anchor point selected for connecting the fall arrest device (32) is at an appropriate height.
RATCHETING STRAP ADJUSTER
A ratcheting strap adjuster comprising a bracket, a webbing plate, and one or more captive members. The webbing plate is rotatably coupled to the bracket. Each of the one or more captive members is moveable between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the one or more captive members restrict rotation of the webbing plate in one direction when the one or more captive members are in the engaged position and allow rotation of the webbing plate in the one direction and in an opposite second direction when the one or more captive members are in the disengaged position.
Harness with pivoting hip connection
A wearable harness has a first strap overlapping a second strap, with each of the first strap and the second strap having a longitudinal axis extending in a direction of a major longitudinal length. The wearable harness further has a reinforced opening extending through each of the first strap and the second strap. The reinforced openings have a pivot axis extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of each of the first strap and the second strap when the reinforced openings overlap each other. The first strap and the second strap are pivotally movable relative to one another about the pivot axis of the central openings.
