HARNESS MOUNTABLE INSULATING ASSEMBLY AND SYSTEM
A harness mountable insulating assembly includes a panel that is flexible and has a front side, a back side and a perimeter edge. The perimeter edge includes an upper edge, a lower edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. A coupler attaches the panel to a safety harness so that panel extends downwardly to cover buttocks of a person using the safety harness. This positioning retains heat between the panel and the buttocks.
Harness
The roping harness comprises a pair of leg loops and a suspension point. The suspension point comprises: distinct first and second rings, a connecting part fixed continuously to the two distinct rings, the connecting part mechanically connecting the two distinct rings with the pair of leg loops, a closed metal connector provided with a rod. The two rings are separated from one another by a first distance in a first direction and define an empty space between a first lateral surface of the first ring and a second lateral surface of the second ring. The two rings are arranged so as to allow fitting of the rod of the connector in the two rings. The rod presents a longitudinal axis coinciding with the first direction. The rod is fitted movable in rotation in the two rings and the connector is mounted movable in rotation around the rod.
Harness with integrated energy absorber
A fall protection harness for being removably worn by a user having at least two leg straps, a first shoulder strap and a second shoulder strap. At least one of the shoulder straps has an energy absorbing element integrated therewith. The energy absorbing element may be a tubular webbing material surrounding a tearable webbing material with at least two bound webbing components configured to tear from one another when the shoulder strap is subjected to a force that exceeds a predetermined threshold.
SAFETY HARNESS, SAFETY EQUIPMENT COMPRISING SAID HARNESS AND PROTECTION METHOD
The safety harness (30) comprises: at least one loop (31, 32, 33, 35, 36) intended to wrap around part of the body of a user, pro vided with a sensor (37, 38, 67, 68) for measuring the tightening force exerted on said loop, each measurement sensor providing a signal representing said force; a means (42) for comparing the value represented by the signal supplied by at least one measurement sensor with a predetermined minimum force value; and a means (42) for indicating a tightening fault, in the event that, for at least one measurement sensor, the measured force is below the predetermined minimum force value.
In embodiments of the invention, the comparison means is configured to compare the value represented by the signal provided by at least one measurement sensor with a predetermined maximum force value, with the means for indicating a tightening fault indicating a tightening fault in the event that, for at least one measurement sensor, the measured force is greater than the predetermined maximum force value.
Protective Equipment Comprising a Sensor Device
Protective equipment for protecting a person from an emergency situation is disclosed. The protective equipment has a securing device, which is portable by the person, having a securing system for protecting the person from an emergency situation. Furthermore, the protective equipment has a sensor device for detecting a dangerous situation prior to the emergency situation of the person, when the sensor device is coupled with the securing system in such a way that upon detection of the dangerous situation of the person, the sensor device automatically sets the securing system in a securing state for protecting the person.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A FALL ARREST DEVICE
A system for monitoring a fall arrest device, where said fall arrest device is a lifeline of a flexible rope or track type, comprising: a first sensor (15) for measuring the oscillations of said fall arrest device; a control unit (13) being electrically connected to said first sensor (15); said control unit (13) being electrically connected to a control centre (45); said control centre (45) being designed to evaluate whether an event selected from among a series of predefined events has occurred, based on the measurements carried out by said first sensor; in the case of a positive outcome said control centre (45) being designed to warn of the occurred event, with a signal.
SYSTEM HAVING LOCKING MECHANISM WITH MULTIPLE STAGE LOCKING VERIFICATION
A system and method for a locking mechanism that includes an ability to indicate that a fall event has occurred as well as indicate proper engagement via a signal cable coupled through a harness. The locking mechanism includes a mechanical indicator that is disposed within the locking mechanism (as opposed to far away from the locking mechanism at a remote cable attachment point) that can visually indicate that a fall event has occurred. Further, the locking mechanism includes electronic components including three magnetic actuators and corresponding electronic switches that signal change of state. Locking tabs and a leading edge of the insert respectively include the three magnetic actuators. The electronic switches, which may be magnetically activated reed switches, signal status change to an external controller and, optionally, an external computer.
Fall protection radio frequency emergency beacon
Embodiments relate generally to systems and methods for quickly detecting a fall and alerting appropriate parties of the fall. A fall protection device may comprise a fall detection module operable to sense when a fall occurs and generate wireless beacon, where the beacon may be received (or picked up) by any number of wireless devices, including wireless gateways, monitoring stations, and mobile devices.
FALL DETECTION ALERT/ALARM DEVICE AND METHOD
A fall detection/fall indicator device that automatically senses when a user of fall protection equipment, such as a fall harness, has experienced an arrested fall, the fall harness having an electrical circuit that is a closed circuit in a first state and an open circuit in a second state after an arrested fall, and an alert device that is automatically responsive to the open circuit to emit an alert/alarm to other personnel that an arrested fall has been experienced.
Ratcheting strap adjuster
A ratcheting strap adjuster comprising a bracket, a webbing plate, and one or more captive members. The webbing plate is rotatably coupled to the bracket. Each of the one or more captive members is moveable between an engaged position and a disengaged position, wherein the one or more captive members restrict rotation of the webbing plate in one direction when the one or more captive members are in the engaged position and allow rotation of the webbing plate in the one direction and in an opposite second direction when the one or more captive members are in the disengaged position.
