Fall-protection system with monitoring system
A fall-protection system including a harness and a fall-protection apparatus with a lifeline bearing a connector configured to be connected to the harness; and, a fall-protection monitoring system with a base unit and with at least one sensor module configured to sense a condition of the connector and to communicate a signal indicative of the condition of the connector to the base unit.
HARNESSES
A harness including a waist belt to which two side attachment arrangements are connected; two forward attachment arrangements. A respective riser extends between each forward attachment arrangement and one corresponding side attachment arrangement. Each side attachment arrangement includes a securing component, typically in the form of a standing ring and a lying ring assembly. The securing component is connected to the waist belt, and the lying ring assembly is held by the securing component against the waist belt. The lying ring assembly includes a retention component that, in use, passes through a loop or an eye in the riser to connect the riser to the lying ring assembly. The retention component is removable from the lying ring assembly to release the connection between the riser and the lying ring assembly.
Motorcycle safety harness with shock absorbers and cushions
A motorcycle safety harness with shock absorbers and cushions channels shock waves caused by a motorcycle accident away from the vital organs of a motorcycle rider to the shoulders and thighs to reduce severe injuries to the rider and save lives.
Safety garment system
A safety garment system including a garment having an interior side, an exterior side, a harness, a first handle, and a second handle. The harness is configured on the interior side of the garment. The first handle and the second handle are configured on the exterior side and are positioned on opposing sides at a shoulder portion of the garment. The garment can be used to safely drag a wearer to safety in an emergency using the harness, the first handle, and the second handle.
HARNESS SPACER, HARNESS INCLUDING THE SAME, AND METHOD OF ATTACHING A HARNESS SPACER
A harness spacer includes a base having a first outer slot, a second outer slot, and a central slot, wherein the first outer slot, the second outer slot, and the central slot form an H-shape, a first arched member extending from the base and creating a first opening, and a second arched member extending from the base and creating a second opening, wherein the base is composed of a pliable material.
TREE SADDLE
A tree saddle includes a first panel having first and second ends with a body portion disposed therebetween, and a second panel having first and second ends with a body portion disposed therebetween. One or more connecting members operably couple the first and second panels to one another. A magnetic coupling system includes a first magnetic array disposed on the first panel, and a second magnetic array disposed on the second panel. The first magnetic array is magnetically coupled to the second magnetic array when the tree saddle is in a coupled condition. The first magnetic array is uncoupled from the second magnetic array when the tree saddle is in an uncoupled condition. The tree saddle includes a first profile when the tree saddle is in the uncoupled condition that is greater than a second profile of the tree saddle when the tree saddle is in the coupled condition.
INTEGRATED FALL-PROTECTION HARNESSES AND EXOSKELETONS AND METHODS FOR USE
Integrated fall-protection harnesses and exoskeletons are disclosed that include cooperating connectors to removably couple the exoskeletons to the harnesses. The exoskeletons may include an arm support including an arm rest for receiving an arm of the user and one or more compensation elements configured to apply an offset force to at least partially offset a gravitational force acting on the arm as the user moves and the arm support follows the movement of the user's arm. Alternatively, the exoskeletons may be permanently mounted to the harnesses.
Combination compact pelvic binder and climbing harness
An apparatus and method for providing a pelvic binder in operative combination with a climbing harness. Thigh loop strap portions of a climbing harness system are detachable from the harness belt portion for separate alternative use as an emergency pelvic binder for a patient suspected or diagnosed with pelvic fracture. The thigh strap portions are provided with features and components to facilitate its use as a functional pelvic binder, while nevertheless allowing it to serve as a component of a climbing harness in alternative, ordinary, use.
HARNESS ADJUSTMENT DEVICE
A harness adjustment device for adjusting a length of webbing includes a toothed rotational member including a spool structured to receive the webbing and an end portion including teeth disposed at an end of the spool, the toothed rotational member being structured to rotate to draw in or let out the webbing, and an engagement mechanism having an engagement portion. The engagement portion is structured to move between a first position in which the engagement portion abuts against the toothed rotational member between at least two of the teeth and prevents rotation of the toothed rotational member, and a second position in which the engagement portion is separated from the toothed rotational member and allows rotation of the toothed rotational member.
HARNESS SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY, HARNESS SHOCK ABSORBER, FALL PROTECTION SAFETY OR SCBA HARNESS AND METHOD OF RETROFITTING A HARNESS SHOCK ABSORBER
A harness shock absorber assembly for a personal protective equipment and a harness shock absorber for such a shock absorber assembly. The shock absorber assembly comprises a deformable element exhibiting a mechanical resistance against deformation and a flexible strap comprising a middle portion and two protruding portions facing away from each other. The middle portion is tightly wrapped around the deformable element such that pulling the protruding portions away from each other deforms the deformable element. A fall protection safety harness comprising a harness shock absorber assembly according to the present disclosure. A method of retrofitting a harness shock absorber according to the present disclosure to a fall protection safety harness or to a SCBA harness. The method comprises the steps of: providing a fall protection safety harness or a SCBA harness comprising a strap, providing a shock absorber according to the present disclosure comprising a deformable element; and wrapping at least one of the flexible straps of the harness tightly around the deformable element of the harness shock absorber to form the harness shock absorber assembly. The deformation of the deformable element of the harness shock absorber assembly absorbs energy impacting on the personal protective equipment and thereby protects the user's body from impacts or injuries. The shock absorber assembly can easily and reliably be retrofitted to a fall protection safety harness or to a SCBA harness and thereby increase the safety for the user.
