FALL ARREST SYSTEM
A fall arrest system for use with a platform includes a first bracket and a second bracket configured to be coupled to the platform, a horizontal support coupled to the first bracket and the second bracket, and a harness adapter slidably coupled to the horizontal support and configured to be coupled to a harness worn by an operator. The first bracket defines a recess configured to receive a guardrail of the platform when the first bracket is coupled to the platform. The harness adapter is repositionable along a length of the horizontal support.
FALL ARREST DEVICE
A fall arrest device comprises a guide for a track member which, in use, passes through the device, a cam member including a cam portion, and a clutch responsive to at least one of the relative speed and relative acceleration of the fall arrest device and the track member. The clutch serves to determine when the relative speed and/or acceleration is at least a predetermined value. The clutch includes a trigger arm connecting to the cam member so as to move the cam portion of the cam member toward the guide so as to lock the track member between the cam member and the guide when at least the predetermined value is attained.
SHUTTLE STOPPER
Various devices, assemblies, components, systems, and methods are provided relating to a shuttle stopper to facilitate alignment of a shuttle with a rail. An example shuttle stopper may include an alignment portion defining an alignment surface configured to face inwardly towards a center axis of the rail. The alignment surface may define a first distance to the center axis. The shuttle stopper may further include a safety portion defining a safety surface configured to face inwardly towards a center axis of the rail on an opposite side of the center axis from the alignment surface. The safety surface may define a second distance to the center axis. The second distance may be greater than the first distance. The shuttle stopper may be configured to rigidly attach to the rail.
Fall arrest device
A fall arrest device comprises a guide (3) for a track member (7) which, in use, passes through the device, a cam member (9) including a cam portion, and a clutch (21) responsive to at least one of the relative speed and relative acceleration of the fall arrest device and the track member. The clutch serves to determine when the relative speed and/or acceleration is at least a predetermined value. The clutch includes a trigger arm (19) connecting to the cam member so as to move the cam portion of the cam member toward the guide so as to lock the track member between the cam member and the guide when at least the predetermined value is attained.
Horizontal lifeline shuttle apparatus
A horizontal lifeline shuttle apparatus is provided. The horizontal lifeline shuttle apparatus includes an attachment portion, a body portion, and a cable channel. The body portion is configured to at least partially surround a portion of a cable so as to retain the portion of the cable within a cable channel The attachment portion is configured to move relative to the body portion based at least in part on the motion of the moveable pin fixedly secured thereto. At least a portion of the moveable pin is disposed within each of a plurality of moveable pin guide grooves positioned within the body portion such that a range of motion of the moveable pin is defined at least in part by the plurality of moveable pin grooves. At least one of the plurality of moveable pin grooves comprises a vertical portion.
Systems and Methods for Tensioning a Lifeline
Systems and methods are provided for a tensioning device configured for increasing tension in a line. A system may include a rotating member configured to support a line, the rotating member being configured to rotate around a shaft. A locking member is configured to limit movement of the line when the line is supported by the rotating member. A tensioning handle is configured to have a closed position and an open position, where the tensioning handle is disengaged from the shaft when in a closed position, and where the tensioning handle is configured to be engaged with the shaft when the tensioning handle is in an open position.
Safety device for a fall restraint
A safety device for a fall restraint includes an anchoring member (1) to which the fall restraint can be coupled directly or indirectly, and a fastening element for a firm and durable connection to an object (10). The fastening element is formed by a flexible fastening flap (11) which extends laterally from the device and which is intended and adapted to bring about the firm and durable connection to the object.
Fall Protection Compliance System and Method
A fall protection compliance system includes a fall limiting device connected to an anchor. The fall limiting device comprises a connection device and a sensor system associated with the connection device. The sensor system is configured to determine whether a connector is connected to the connection device and to transmit a signal based on detecting that the connector is connected to the connection device, where operation of a machine associated with the anchor is controlled based on the signal.
SYSTEM FOR ASSEMBLY OF PROVISIONAL HORIZONTAL LIFELINES
A system for assembly of a lifeline of the type that uses an anchor post and retractable drum assembly to horizontally stretch the mentioned as a means to protect workers constructing buildings or other structures from falls; the anchor post is modular and can be coupled to complementary tube(s) with telescopic adjustment means; said modular anchor post being provided with (i) a structural base with a plane region and ribs welded to the side of the post so as to keep said plane slightly removed from said anchor post; a hole drilled in the ground of the building receives the tubular sector, arranged between the end and the plane region; (ii) by at least one safety guide, formed by three arched segments,; (iii) by at least one transport handle in a single piece; and (iv) by at least two brackets for mounting and attaching the retractable lifeline drum assembly, optimizing the ways of holding the lifeline stretched horizontally.
