Safety cable system
A safety cable system for installation during building construction is provided and includes a first track mounted to a first structural element of a building, a first plurality of anchors slidably engageable with the first track, a second track mounted to a second structural element of a building, a second plurality of anchors slidably engageable with the second track, and a plurality of cables interconnecting the first plurality of anchors and the second plurality of anchors. The first plurality of anchors, the second plurality of anchors, and the plurality of cables are positionable vertically at a plurality of different heights above a floor of the building, or horizontally at a plurality of different positions above the floor. Also provided are stops for restricting movement of the first and second plurality of anchors, roller bearings that capture the plurality of anchors in the tracks and allow the anchors to slide with respect to the tracks, plates and associated mounting hardware for mounting the tracks, turnbuckles for tensioning the cables, and tie points for tying a netting between the tie points.
BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR USE WITH RETRACTABLE LIFELINE ASSEMBLY
A brake assembly comprises a brake plate including a plurality of radially-extending brake tabs, and an extension member extending at least partially through the brake plate. The extension member is movable relative to the brake plate such that the extension member is configured to successively engage the brake tabs. The brake assembly enables one or more forces to be managed or controlled throughout a braking event, such as a fall arrest event.
FALL ARREST ANCHOR
A post anchor is provided for securing a post within a poured concrete slab. The post anchor comprises a socket having a first cavity sized to receive the post therein. A jacket member is adapted to mount over at least a portion of the socket. At least one tensile member is mounted to, and extending from, the jacket member. The jacket and tensile members function to reinforce the socket and to distribute any forces exerted upon the post anchor further into the surrounding concrete. The socket may be provided in a variety of heights, to allow the post anchor to be easily adapted to a variety of slab depths.
System for controlling the use of an exercise course by a person in a climbing park
A system for controlling use of an exercise course by a person in a climbing park has a guiding element, which extends along a longitudinal direction and along which a person can move between a connecting section of the guiding element and a disconnecting section of the guiding element. A securing device is movably attachable along the guiding element between the connecting section and the disconnecting section. The securing device is connectable to the guiding element in the connecting section and is disconnectable from the guiding element in the disconnecting section. An identification device is configured such that, by the identification device, at least a connecting of the securing device within the identification section is identifiable, such that an occupancy of the guiding element with another person is identifiable therewith. An actuating device of the securing device is controllable with the identification device, such that the actuating device of the securing device is adjustable in a clearance position and, upon identification of the occupancy of the guiding element by another person, in a blocking mode. The actuating device of the securing device is coupled with the securing device, such that, in the blocking mode, a connecting of the securing device in the connecting section and/or a displacing of the securing device along the guiding element is blocked.
TENSIONING DEVICE
One aspect relates to a tensioning device comprising a pulley including a drive spindle and a pulley wheel connected to the drive spindle, a lifeline passing, in use, around the pulley wheel; a locking member configured to engage, in use, with a part of said lifeline to prevent relative movement of the lifeline with respect to the locking member in a first direction; and a handle assembly connected to the drive spindle, the handle assembly being moveable between a first, disengaged position in which rotation of the handle assembly does not cause rotation of the drive spindle and a second, engaged position in which rotation of the handle assembly rotates the drive spindle, rotation of the drive spindle rotating the pulley to move the lifeline in a second direction relative to the locking member, thereby tensioning the lifeline.
RETRACTABLE LIFELINE ASSEMBLY
A retractable lifeline assembly includes a housing including a sidewall, a rotatable member inside the housing, a first engaging mechanism coupled to the rotatable member, and a crank including a crank handle and a second engaging mechanism. The crank is pivotally coupled to the sidewall such that the crank is selectively movable between a first crank position, in which the second engaging mechanism is engaged with the first engaging mechanism, and a second crank position, in which the second engaging mechanism is disengaged from the first engaging mechanism. The crank handle selectively engages the first engaging mechanism when the crank is in the first crank position to rotate the rotatable member.
FALL PROTECTION SYSTEM
A fall protection system having a top bracket assembly that is mountable to a top portion of the ladder, a spaced bottom bracket assembly that is mountable to a bottom portion of the ladder, and a cable extending therebetween portions of the top bracket assembly and the bottom bracket assembly substantially parallel to a plane bisecting the vertical ladder at a desired distance from the plane.
Active trolley support system
A trolley for use with a fall arrest system, the trolley providing active control of both downward movement of a body attached to a rope or cable and horizontal position along a track.
Safety Line Shock Absorber
In at least one embodiment, a lifeline comprises a wire rope and a shock absorber. In some embodiments, the shock absorber comprises a tubular body defining a lumen therethrough. The tubular body defines a longitudinal axis comprising curvature along its length. The wire rope extends through the lumen of the shock absorber.
SAFETY TETHER ANCHOR AND SYSTEM FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS
A safety anchor for construction having a mounting plate for mounting to a vertical portion of a structure; a vertical support member coupled to the mounting plate and extending upwardly therefrom; and, a tethering component at a top end of the vertical support member. In one method of use, a first safety anchor is mounted to a first side of a structure, a second safety anchor is mounted to a second side of a structure, and a cable is interposed between the first and second safety anchors.
