Fall protection system
11939781 · 2024-03-26 · ·

A module for a fall protection system comprises a structural sheet having a ridge and an attachment panel extending laterally therefrom and one or more attachment sections. The attachment panel can be secured to a structure. The module has one or both of: (i) an anchorage connector attached to the ridge at an attachment section; and (ii) a rail clamp having a sleeve portion and a leg portion attached to the ridge at an attachment section; a rail extending through and supported by the sleeve portion; and a slider supported on the rail. The slider is slideably movable along the rail and has a slider anchorage connector. The ridge may be received in a flashing ridge having a flashing extending laterally therefrom to provide coverage for the attachment panel. A person may be attached to the anchorage connector or the slider anchorage connector via a safety line.

A fall protection system includes an elevation mechanism including a base end and an elevated end, and that is configured to permit a user to scale the elevation mechanism. The first channel is disposed at a first side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a first shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the first shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism. The second channel is disposed at a second side of the elevation mechanism and extends between the base end and the elevated end, and is configured to anchor a second shuttle to the elevation mechanism and permit the second shuttle to transition between the base end and the elevated end of the elevation mechanism.

VERTICAL FALL ARREST SAFETY DEVICE
20190282842 · 2019-09-19 ·

A vertical fall arrest safety device travels along a rail of a vertical track and is configured for quick attachment and detachment anywhere along the rail. The device has a mounting body having side rail engagements configured for slidably engaging behind the edges of a rail of the vertical track in use. The engagements are spaced and staggered so as to receive the rail therebetween when the mounting body is at an angle, and then slidably attach to the rail when the mounting body is twisted into alignment with the rail. The device also has a lever pivotally coupled to the mounting body at a fulcrum. As such, when a downward force is applied to a connection point of a distal end of the lever, an opposite distal end of the lever frictionally engages the rail.

SYSTEM FOR PHYSICAL MOBILITY ACTIVITY OF A PERSON

A trolley for use with a fall arrest system, the trolley providing active control of both downward movement of a body attached to a rope or cable and horizontal position along a track.

CONTINUOUS SAFETY OR BELAY SYSTEM

A safety system is disclosed to provide safety to a user while traversing an amusement attraction. The safety system may include one or more safety mechanisms for attachment to a user and a track system. The one or more safety mechanisms may removably couple together. The one or more safety mechanisms may include additional features such as speed controllers, track engagement systems, among others to assist in the traversal of the safety mechanism through and across the track system.

CONTINUOUS SAFETY AND BELAY SYSTEM

A bifurcation method and system for a passive continuous belay system that allows for a user to select multiple pathways using intermediate tracks. A main track and the intermediate tracks provide a linear passive continuous belay using an anchor mechanism that is configured to grasp the outside of the structural member track, using rolling elements and/or low-friction sliding. The user may select multiple pathways using intermediate lateral tracks to provide Cartesian movement at designated (e.g., perpendicular) transition or junction points. Desired tracks may be selected by a user via sliding along a support plate or track in a junction box and/or by rotating a portion of the junction box. Amusement attraction activities that include non-harnessed play may be intertwined or located adjacent to activities utilizing harnessed play.
